There’s only one televised Premier League fixture today, but with blockbuster games kicking off earlier at Carrow Road and Molineux, we’ve opened the Dugout Discussion chatroom so you can pour over all of today’s action.

We’re at Carrow road first, where Norwich City shortly begin their home campaign. They come up against a Stoke City side perhaps a little worse for wear after their midweek Europa League venture. Half an hour later, Fulham (another team having to cope with extra European commitments) travel up to face Mick McCarthy’s Wolves.

After that, it’ll be time to tune in to watch Gary and Jamie set-up a potential cracker between Bolton and Man City, with both sides looking to top the table.

So join us in the Dugout Discussion, which will stay open throughout the day to soak up your views on the action.

    Not bothered by losing clean sheet (Lescott) as others have Clichy, Richards & Kompany.
    Silva goal + bonus and Roger Johnson clean sheet for me as well as Aguero -PPI and Cahill -ve point for goals conceded for others, love it!

      Never seen such a big kneejerk.

      It also looks fairly weak.

      Goalies are unreliable (yeah I know they outscored everyone else's regular keepers but we're thinking long term).

      R. Taylor is short term, Downing is a poor choice and poor value compared to Suarez, N'Zogbia doesn't look dangerous, you have a constant bench problem, and Klasnic has poor fixtures.

            After GW's 3 or 4 would seem more practical as the change in difficulty of fixtures for the 'big' 6 imo.

      He's in mine already in place of Kompany, (as is Aguero and Silva (C)) - shame his assist for Aguero goal wasn't counted as this would have made my week fantastic!

    Anyone hovering their finger over a wildcard? I still think when city players arent as sure a source of points as they seem with rotation being the main threat

    1) if they sign nasri - makes silva less of an option... They will share minutes in most cases, and will share attacking returns if they both start
    2) if they dont sell tevez - same as above for aguero dzeko & balotelli
    3) champs lge group stages - possibly the biggest factor. This will put a serious strian on citys squad... Playing prem games 3 or 4 days after champs lge matches, particularly away games will greatly blunt their performances

    These are the reasons i am avoiding city coverage * for the time being*. If it be ome sobvious after 5 or 6 games that mancini isnt going to rotate silva/aguero/ i will probably look at getting one of em. Yaya isnt really worth 8.0 i think

      Agree with all that. Wouldn't be rushing to get city fwds at this stage.

      I figured yaya would be rotation proof, but he's just playing far too deep for 8.0. Thinking I'll do Torres - Suarez this week then use the difference to upgrade yaya the week after.

      Meh I reckon having Silva and Aguero for the points they're getting now is worth it. Worst that can happen is they go up in value and then if they do stop seeing pitch time I'll sell them for a profit.

        Very true... If you already have them fair play and absolutely no point in getting rid. But im speaking as someone who missed the boat & trying to justify not having them 🙂

      I don't think you can afford not to have City coverage. They are the best team man for man in the league.

      You can't play this game in fear or you'll miss out.

      Silva will not be rotated. He's the main playmaker. Nasri would affect Milner/Johnson/Barry's gametime, not Silva's.

      Tevez might affect Aguero, but probably not. Tevez would replace Djeko, not Aguero.

          That's fair enough. Tevez did lead the line last year though. Unless Mancini is a slave to 'little and large', which I doubt he is, I think he'd rather have Tevez flanked by Silva and Aguero. Djeko could be a really good choice. Doesn't look like a clinical finisher to me though.

    I'll wait out torres one more week and if he doesn't score, I'm planning on bringing in Long/Fletcher/Klasnic and upgrading tim cahill to Frank Lampard.

    Any thoughts?

      Im sticking with cahill. I know its a cliche but on another day he would have had a hattrick v qpr... Missed one chance that was easier to score and had another 3 clear attempts. As long as everton dont sign a striker he'll stay pushed up. Nice 3 games coming up... So keep the faith for another while!

      I thought all this Torres nonesense would be finally finished after yesterday. The guy's had a total of ONE shot on target in his two games against the mighty Stoke and West Brom. What a total liability that man is.

      Lose him and move on. And if he ever does somehow contrive to score again, ignore it. Beware of false dawns!

      Don't listen to these guys.

      I'd think about taking 12point hit before using my WC. It all depends on the transfers - at this point in time i don't think you have a clear enough picture of anything to justify a 12 point hit or a wildcard imo - give your team a little chance.

    It's good for the league that City now have Aguero and Dzeko playing to his potential. I really think we can start putting them down as genuine title contendors this season. Only team I can see beating United this year now.
