The second gameweek of the Premier League season comes to a close tonight at Old Trafford, as champions Manchester United play host to a Tottenham Hotspur side belatedly starting their league campaign. Injuries force Sir Alex to play an extremely young defence who, along with goalkeeper David De Gea, have an average age of just 22. Unforced however, is the youth in attack for the home side, who also have Javier Hernandez back in their match-day squad.

The answer is YES use your wildcards now, its a great idea..go on.
You will be really happy with your new team, it will be so much better than the other two attempts you had in two weeks!!

In fact whoever said we know more now, so therefore it's useful, I disagree I know less. !

The big teams all have rotation issues, so live with them. W are all in the same boat and most people have started badly

  I can see them playing together for 60% of the games, Carrick of course will get games too as will Giggs but for that price he MAY be worth a gamble. I'm considering it but i like having players who you know will play every game.

  He's definitely on the radar. I reckon there's a spot up for grabs there & he's the man in situ. Maybe not a goal machine, but no De Jong either. If you could get a virtually guaranteed Utd midfielder at that price, why wouldn't you? Keep an eye on him I'd say.

hi guys
can someone post the fpl email address? i'm sick of the hassle. i'm on holiday with a slim window to make transfers and can't. if prices change overnight i can't afford to make the change. this stupid interface is so bad. they are going to have to fix prices again if people aren't able to transfer when they want.

  Considering the same but he did play deep an awful lot again today. I'm still not sure on him for 12m unless I see him more in the bloody penalty box. Nani isn't really tempting me, thought he was quiet in the 2nd half but he does have that potential for a big haul. I'm thinking about going for Young, I think he will play more than Nani & Valencia and he looked dangerous and always looks full of assists. Wayne is the safe option tho with pens also.

      I realise that, I'm saying for 12m ideally I want someone who is playing as the main striker. I realise with a Wellbeck or Hernandez in the team that will be his role, I thought United might go more back to the 4-5-1 of a couple of seasons ago when Rooney was scoring for fun.

Oh wow, clicking on the results actually does something now! Doesn't show as much info as last year but comes up instantly and shows the main info, looks like the site is finally getting the features it did have....

you people make me laugh.

site is updating the leagues with pts. That's why for 5 mins after the game you got a 500 server error beause they were just beginning the update.

Now the message is there they are updating. Calm down with the moaning. I don't see how in the next hour your life depends on making a transfer.

  you're right that it isn't life or death, but it's a pretty poor deal if you can't make the changes you want when you want to (or need to in my case, with limited web access this week). it's the latest annoyance in a poor season from FPL to date. there were none of these problems with the old site.

Don't like the way you can't see who or how you're doing in H2H fixtures. Another thing that should be changed back.

    The problem isn't overreacting on a wildcard, the problem is I got hit by 3 injuries and Nani and N'Zogbia are looking like poor prospects.
    
    I've also given myself a forced sub in Hilario (my own choice, but now one I have to live with).

  I would keep it as it is for sure. Save the wildcard for a double game week or for later in the season.
  
  For gameweek 3 you're fine. Hilario and Cole are good for a clean sheet barring another freak mistake (Alex...). Baines is a good differential and is playing Blackburn. All your midfielders are at home with good fixtures. You can pick Suarez and Long upfront. Good team.

      I have Nani and will stick him for now. He might be rotated once Valencia returns so I'd re-assess then. He's always a threat.
      
      N'Zogbia is settling in slowly but I would wait a few weeks as Villa have decent fixtures. As another poster said save the 2 transfers for GW4 (some interesting fixtures plus the transfer window will have closed).

        I can't save transfers, I used one to bring in Long for Zamora before price rise.

        I also have Hilarious so share your pain (especially with Vorm on the bench)...however the site says Cech's back on 24th sept so H may get more games afterall.

      I have nzog and I'm holdIng onto him. He is a good player and has a nice home fixture. Nani is still capable of good scores but I just feel if ur spending 10 mil on a midfielder then young is the way to go. He takes corners and free kicks and looks immense.
