Alex Ferguson faces selection headache up front. Wenger welcomes back Laurent Koscielny but is losing sleep over Thomas Vermaelen’s ankle knock. Roberto Mancini and Andre Villas-Boas contemplate throwing their new signings into the mix. Kenny Dalglish set to rekindle the Suarez/Carroll partnership against Bolton. Harry Redknapp adamant that Luka Modric will line up against City as the Croatian sorts his hamstring and his future at Spurs.

A reminder that these nuggets from around the Premier League grounds – all the team news leading into the weekend – is being collated and compiled for you via our team news section. Noteworthy additions are being flagged via our Twitter feed as usual.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Can anyone explain why Shane long has not gone up in price since his "net Transfers In" is rather high?

    Thanks in advance.

Maybe ISM have decided that Long's price shouldn't rise. I've mentioned before, the price rises are not a supported area of the game eg: the algorithm can change day to day at a whim if ISM feel that, for the good of the game, a player or group of players shouldn't rise or fall.

I would have thought the number should be consistent for all players.

I understand certain players are protected when injured so their price does not drop too quickly but I would have assume that the threshold for going up would be the same for all players.

I must admit I am still none the wiser and I don't even have Long in my team but various players who have the same number of NTI have gone up this week so I am puzzled.

I've got Malouda but I'm worried about whether to play him let alone captain... do you reckon Mata will inspire him to perform?

Bent is going to one of the players I refuse to buy and it loses me the league ğŸ™

No one should be surprised that van Persie didn't score at Newcastle. Having scored in 12 away games in a row (or whatever it was) he was due no goal.

Many people are using that with Newcastle this week. I've seen quite a few comment saying something along the lines of:

Shall I play Simpson or [insert other player name here]? I can't see Newcastle keeping three clean sheets in a row.

                Not really.

A clean sheet or goals have to occur in every match.

A penalty could be unseen for a season of football.

What if your captain gets injured, will the captaincy go to the vice captain and thus the vice captain will score double points for every points accrued after the captain went off?

Not nessecarily, there are a few very select situations in which a player is probably either going to play or not play, and is unlikely to be brought on as a sub, in which case VC deserves careful consideration.

which 3 to play of warnock, kompany, bosingwa, simpson and enrique ?

have warnock, bosingwa and enrique right now but keeping simpson on the bench has burned me twice and city-spurs could be 0-0 even though city defense hasnt looked that impressive yet.

Personally I'll go middle of the road rooney, malouda if he's a nailed on starter, or off road with bosingwa.

I can't afford Torres, Bent, Lampard & other strong options ğŸ™
