Alex Ferguson faces selection headache up front. Wenger welcomes back Laurent Koscielny but is losing sleep over Thomas Vermaelen’s ankle knock. Roberto Mancini and Andre Villas-Boas contemplate throwing their new signings into the mix. Kenny Dalglish set to rekindle the Suarez/Carroll partnership against Bolton. Harry Redknapp adamant that Luka Modric will line up against City as the Croatian sorts his hamstring and his future at Spurs.

A reminder that these nuggets from around the Premier League grounds – all the team news leading into the weekend – is being collated and compiled for you via our team news section. Noteworthy additions are being flagged via our Twitter feed as usual.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Internationals typically bring about injuries ... therefore having multiple free trades or WCing is a good plan.

      Saving up two transfers is always a good idea, unless there's something really pressing which you have to do on a given week.

      Means that even if you have a massive injury next week you'll be able to still sort it out and make another player selection of your choice.

    This is my team:

    Given (Ruddy)

    Bosingwa, Kompany, Simpson, (De Laet, Jagielka)

    Silva, Jarvis, N’Zog, Mikel,( Moses)

    Suarez, Rooney, Torres

    Should I bin Torres now or keep him one more week? If so who do you think would be a good replacement? Klasnic, Bent, Aguero or Dzeko –

    Cheers guys

    I am considering Kenny as a punt over Given. Wolves have been so organised these past games, I cant seem them NOT scoring. What with home advantage not being an advantage in the first few games, does anyone think it would be dumb to pick Kenny over Given? Kenny is away to wigan BTW.

    1) Zamora---> Long
    2) Malouda---> Brunt

    If these 3 were nailed on to start...Id rather do Brown to one of the Newcastle defenders..

      I wouldn't bench him this week. He is showing promise, but with Mcleish favouring a more defensive line up and with agbonlahor and heskey on the wings his days may be numbered as a fantasy prospect. I'd personally play him and Moses this week though as perhaps his final act for your squad. Moses is showing promise too. A big threat on goal according to FFS's research. But he could end up being like Kolorov last season...lots of promise, lots of good stats, but not much good for pts.

      From the man who bid £6m for Cahill...this would represent a massive turnaround in policy for Wenger. Are you sure its not a 17 yr old dutch player with the same surname?

        Hahahha Jonty making the same comment about Cahill at the same time. I agree definitely

      More than likely bollocks but would be pretty interesting if he did actually bid.

      Hardly to happen, but I would love love that. I would love to see all Utd fans faces 🙂

      But hardly with his wages demands. If they were too much for Utd I could only imagine what Wenger thinks about them. He is the guy bidding 5-6m for Cahill

            New Gaffer Uwe Rossler is a super Ledge, great managerial record so far and has started great with them.

    Quick sanity check please:

    I already made a couple of transfers this week and now would like to make some more. Can I play my wildcard *after* transfers have been made and will it count for *all* transfers during that gameweek ?

    Cheers

      yes. if you did 3 transfers and took an 8 point hit - you can press the wildcard button and it will wipe those transfers

          No you can't. You no longer have a wildcard.

          Lose some sleep over that instead.

    Hmm...who to start guys?

    Simpson (Fulham home)
    or
    Brown (Swansea away)

    Newcastle have 0 goals against, but Swansea have 0 goals for.

    Cheers

      I would go Simpson, slightly more chance of keeping a clean sheet considering Zamora is out
