Having been stalled by the international break and a glamorous trip back to Manchester, I take my seat alongside Mark in the studio once again, desperately wrestling for air time against the prolific gabber spewed from the ScoutCast host. Mark tries to be on his best behaviour in this episode, knuckles wrapped by a frustrated listener deprived of my pearls of wisdom by his constant interruptions, you can sense the intense effort as Mark holds his silence.

It’s not easy; once again we’ve a contentious issue to discuss – Rooney’s dubious assist back in Gameweek three still nags away at those without the folically challenged hot-shot. The new assist ruling gets the ScoutCast treatment then, accompanied by the usual half-arsed analysis of the Gameweek fixture list and the likely protagonists involved.

Click here to see if Mark holds his tongue.

oh right. how cheap is the cheap def or forward? if it's 4.5 then adebayor as you can find much better 4.5 defenders than strikers. if you can afford up to a 6mil striker then arguably baines now he's fluked penalties back

You want to start with your Zenit keeper, and then transfer in Julio Cesar if he doesn't get a cleanie. Likewise with Traore -- he has to start. Transfer him out if there's no Marseille cleanie. I'm not sure you want Simao when Man Utd is the opposition. I'm not convinced by two Real strikers, esp. when Mourinho is usually very conservative in away games. The games is all about fixtures and transfers from the first to second matchday, especially in the group stage.

I'm honestly not so sure it will backfire. Not with the front 8 you get.

I honestly think its crazy to get rid of suarez. I think suarez/rooney/dzek is the frontline to go with.

if you MUST keep RVP, I'd drop one of nasri/silva. Too early to triple up on city.

Do people think its way too late to do my wildcard considering the various price changes over the past 2 weeks? No United coverage killed me last gameweek. I already brought in Van Persie for Torres but would like Dzeko as a good differential as none of my rivals have him.

    This is my current team:
    Given
    Mignolet

    Enrique
    Cole A
    Kompany
    Bosingwa
    Senderos

    Silva
    Taarabt

Do Dzeko for Bent. Simples. But I think it's 50/50 that Dzeko may be rotated v. Wigan, given Tevez bucking for a start and Dzeko having played 2 int'ls.

Why do you have Boswinga and A.Cole - that's the bigger question. Looks like you are rotating your midfield squad guys (Taarabt/Sinclair; Moses/Sessegnon)which suggests you should be loading up on forwards. Instead, you have doubled down in defense with top 4 defenders (Senderos aside). So . . . if that's your theory (that, over the course of the season, top 4 defenders will out), why not stick ?

It isn't that bad. Have to get rid of Ferguson but Cahill has 2 good fixtures coming up and will probably be playing up front.

Petrov has tricky fixtures but is still doing ok and Bents bandwagon has completely been destroyed for some reason on this site after he didn't score in one game.

Jagielka for 5.5. Makes no sense. Simpson - will Santon at LB and possibly R.Taylor moved to RB threaten Simpson's PT ? What does the loss of Arteta's service mean to Cahill's production ? So questionable midfield production at 9.0M ? Ferguson ? Are you serious ? Here's how you tell someone's team is f***ed up: Ferguson.

Tchoyi has been playing in a more forward role with Long as the lone recgonised striker while Odenwingie has been injured. Now it looks like Odenwingie is back but Long might be out, so Tchoyi might well continue this role short term. But when the two strikers are back he will probably be more a standard midfielder

Jerome Thomas was brilliant last year, played out on the left; pace, technical - 110 FF points last year. He's been dinged up this year, but if Roy brings him in, look for him to stick and score FF points.

£5.9 for Riise seems a lot for a Fulham defender. I don't think he offers enough over Hughes (£5.0m) to justify the extra money, if you were even set on Fulham

Enrique is also only £5m and although he hasnt scored big points yet, it sounds as if he is getting forward a lot and getting a lot of crosses in

I really would be tempted to downgrade Riise and have that spare cash in case someone like Taraabt or Brunt needs a minor upgrade

Agreed. Ade has been a big scorer in the past, but he's been out the EPL for a good while and you can't guarentee how long it will take to re-adjust to the game here.

Plus, for me, his attitude is always under question and Spurs, to be fair, are struggling. Even although they have played the two Man teams, they pretty much got pumped in both games

For only £8m he could prove to be one of the bargains of the season, but I think there is no harm in holding off for a few weeks to see how he and the team in general are doing

For me, it has to be B all the way. Norwich are never going to set the world alight in any game. There probably wont be much to choose between their best forward and their best midfielder in the long term

But the difference between Walcott and RVP could really be significant. Granted, Walcott does have the odd good game, but nearly EVERYTHING good for Arsenal goes through Robin. He's on set pieces and penalties, and the man is a goal scoring machine

And if you dont have Rooney already, the mass concensus seems to be RvP captain.

I am slightly biased being a Scot, but I'll tell you who could be a great shout for a bargain midfielder and that is Barry Bannan.

He's small, but he's tricky and he showed once again in Scotland v Lithuania that he has a sweet, sweet left foot. If McLiesh gives him a run I think he could be a really good value purchase for £5m

If he was getting regular minutes I'd definitely be interested, but when everyone's fit McLeish has got to pick 6 from Bent, Petrov, Delph, Heskey, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor, Albrighton, Bannan and now Jenas too... The first 8 I've put in order of minutes played so far. There's also Ireland to come into the midfield at some point possibly too.

Bannan definitely looks good for the future though.

Briggs is a waste. You can get a defeneder at £4m that will at least get a regular game from Swansea or QPR

Mikel is a good player but not a good FPL player if you know what I mean. general concensus seems to be Dyer (£4.5m) or Moses (£5m) in that price range

And if you do maybe go Mikel > Dyer you can maybe go Briggs > Brown or Woodgate

      Otherwise pretty strong.

Yeah, its a wildcard team mate, having no arsenal coverage is bumming me out a little but im more than willing to sit back and see how they do as a neutral for the time being.

Totally agree with the briggs comment, was already reconsidering maybe a a defender from QPR, funn you say that, shall definately have a re-think on that one.

Also agree with the Mikel dilemma, very tempted to go moses as i've had him in my team all the way up until this wildcard re-jig. Will give though to brown and woodgate also, just needs teh finishing touches i think really.

      B. MNU don't have great fixtures but MNU look like scoring on anyone, so A.Young seems worth adding as opposed to doubling down on MNC and ARS. That said, Dzeko (2 int'l matches) and Aguero (traveling from Bangledesh)are rotation risks with Tevez pushing for a start.

Would it be insane to take another -4 point for Walcott>NZog? Already did -4 to bring in RVP. Just thought it might be worth it for Arsenal's fixtures the next few GWs.

Also any thoughts on Brunt? Still the setpiece hogger for WBA? Ive got him but havent got the chance to watch WBA so not sure whether to keep him or to downgrade to Dyer to free up some funds.
