Having been stalled by the international break and a glamorous trip back to Manchester, I take my seat alongside Mark in the studio once again, desperately wrestling for air time against the prolific gabber spewed from the ScoutCast host. Mark tries to be on his best behaviour in this episode, knuckles wrapped by a frustrated listener deprived of my pearls of wisdom by his constant interruptions, you can sense the intense effort as Mark holds his silence.

It’s not easy; once again we’ve a contentious issue to discuss – Rooney’s dubious assist back in Gameweek three still nags away at those without the folically challenged hot-shot. The new assist ruling gets the ScoutCast treatment then, accompanied by the usual half-arsed analysis of the Gameweek fixture list and the likely protagonists involved.

Click here to see if Mark holds his tongue.

Is Dzeko certain to start given that news says Tevez will play?

Also is it time to chop in Moses? Playing my WC and seems generally people are getting rid at the minute.

Dzeko will get subbed, that is a fact but then all strikers are at risk of being subbed or they risk injury. The question for me is who does Mancini rate as he Champions League strikers? If he thinks Dzeko will be good in Europe then he'll miss more Prem action than I would be happy with....

Moses is playing really well and is more likely to score than another other mid out there under 6.5 IMO.

So Tevez will start. What then?

    Tevez-dzeko up front i a 4-4-2 formation?
    tevez-balotelli ?

Also, didn't we learn last season that when Tevez plays Silva is left with a more passive role and gets less involvments.

What do you guys with silva-dzeko think?

    A) Baines, Jarvis, Bendtner
    B) Ward, Dyer, Suarez
    C) Kompany, Jarvis, Ruiz

    Im on WC. Current team:
    Vorn/Krul

    Rooney/Dzeko/Suarez

Hi guys, got a slight dilemma for my second change (free change). Currrent team is

    Given (Vorm)
    Bossingwa, Kompany, Enrique, ShawX, Simpson
    Silva, Nzogs, Walters, Moses, Surman
    Dzeko, Suarez, Rooney

    Have 3.0mm in the bank

    Do i go
    1) Walters out, Walcott in
    or
    2) Suarez out, RVP in?

No.1 gives me a more balanced team with decent exposure to most teams but just feels like option 2 gives me a better captain choice going into this week. Any thought? Also RVP probably less likely to get injured....still cant decide, please help!

Other factors include that Walters is not far from falling in value. Suarez plays 3 away games in 4 i think.

    Thanks!

        Nasri Arteta and NDyer.

O'Hara needs to goals to get points, he's not going to bonus as much in the new system - dont want!
Tarrabat - he's 3rd of the QPR mids I want, Barton I think is best but not against Newcastle, SWP Id rather gamble on - need prise rises tonight to get the extra .1, so unlikely

I was a bit sad ditching Yaya but with the price drop and so many better options at Man City I wanted to get rid. There are so many pts knocking around Man City that I can see myself getting three of their players at some pt. Alrready have Kompany, and those with Dzeko and one of Silva and Nasri are going to be mopping up the pts

Brunt is someone the wider FPLers never go for. He rarely gets those price rises, but when West Brom's fixtures are good...as they are over the next few weeks, he usually racks up assists and bonuses. I'm anticipating 5-6 from him most weeks, with the odd 10 thrown in when he scores. Not bad for 6m player that no one else in my mini league will get.

Hardly a great prospect either one I opt for this week, but do I go for Al Habsi (Man City away), or Vorm (Arsenal away). Currently have Vorm.

It's a shame games away to City and Arsenal were scheduled for the same day after you'd already chosen Vorm and Al-Habsi!

Oh no, hang on, they were scheduled already... 😉

Do you have RVP? If so, put Vorm in. Then if Arse get a peno you may benefit a bit if he misses.

I’d play Vorm anyway. He got a few points way at Citeh even though Swansea lost by 4.

How did you end up with 2 keepers both playing away against bit teams? Did you check the fixture list when you picked them?

I'd say Vorm by the way. Not to say he has a chance of getting more than 2 points (barring a saved penalty)

Torres is fine for this GW with Drogba out.

Yaya is the cheapest way into City's attack and well worth 7.9.

N'Zogbia is class, but isn't doing it at the moment.

Baines is potentially playing and potentially on penalties.

In short, no. Do N'Zogbia to Arteta. Or something.

Gentlemen (and lady), I'd appreciate your considered opinions on the merits and errr un-merits of these proposed transfers....

    Krul (Vorm)
    Berra/DeLaet/Bosingwa (Simpson/ Brown)
    Arteta/Nasri/Silva/Young (NDyer)
    Dzeko/Rooney/Ruiz

    Changing:

Nasri, Arteta & Ruiz ---> Jarvis, Brunt & RVP

    GO or NO please? Thanks!

PS. I'd probably sacrifice one of my Citeh (sic) mids for Mata GW6. if I were to keep the current team. Just whether its worth doengrading the two mids for RVP that I'd like opinions on really. The proposed replacement mids have good fixtures.

the problem is he's a good differential that anyone can afford. If I go RVP I could downgrade easily to Ruiz later - not so easy to up-grade later on as I'd need to make multiple transfers. Currently I'm on WC and have got my team value up a bit, hence the 'bling' midfield. 😉
