Having been stalled by the international break and a glamorous trip back to Manchester, I take my seat alongside Mark in the studio once again, desperately wrestling for air time against the prolific gabber spewed from the ScoutCast host. Mark tries to be on his best behaviour in this episode, knuckles wrapped by a frustrated listener deprived of my pearls of wisdom by his constant interruptions, you can sense the intense effort as Mark holds his silence.

It’s not easy; once again we’ve a contentious issue to discuss – Rooney’s dubious assist back in Gameweek three still nags away at those without the folically challenged hot-shot. The new assist ruling gets the ScoutCast treatment then, accompanied by the usual half-arsed analysis of the Gameweek fixture list and the likely protagonists involved.

    I like the look of it. I wish I had the restraint to spread the wealth throughout the team like that. Adebayor is a real dark horse and with a tempting price to balance out with another mid.

  Personally I wouldn't say it looks like you're getting your money's worth out of dropping RVP and Rooney. Reason being you're mainly spending it on other players from the same teams. I don't think Walcott and Arteta combined will outscore RVP, and yet they take two places and cost more between them. You have Young, who will score highly in accordance with Rooney, but on a less reliable basis. City wise you're covered and Suarez/Adebayor could be good, but I don't think you've "spreaded the wealth" because you're heavily backing the same teams, just with worse players.

  My opinion (or hope, I should say) is Suarez, Dzeko & Adebayor all won't be that far behind Rooney & RVP, and with them being £2.5-£4M cheaper it just allows me to get away from the £6M midfielders that have been pants so far (yes, it's only three weeks in and things could change there) and get in some decent, and should be relatively consistent, ones instead.

        it's a very small sample (just 3 games) but this was the same doubt over him last season, modric syndrome. plus this was before nasri came (although you could argue nasri will help him by being a good, similar wavelength player.
        basically i think that howler by jaaskeleinen has played too big a part

Current WC thinking has 2.1 mil spare but involves some big gambles:

Krul (Vorm)

Bosingwa - Enrique - Woodgate (Ward, N. Taylor)

Silva - Walcott - Tchoyi - Barkley (Dyer)

RVP - Rooney - Dzeko

Tchoyi and Barkley likely not to be long term options but I fancy Tchoyi over Brunt at this stage and have plenty of room to move on Barkley after the next two fixtures. If he's not starting I have a back 5 I could play 4 of next week as well. Money left over for Walcott maybe moving to Mata and one of the City boys to Suarez or even Gerrard down the road...just thinking maybe of getting rid of Dyer for a more solid option as well, hrmm.

Hi all
Off tomorrow so last chance to change WC team - any help greatly appreciated.
Krul (Vorm)
Enrique, Bosingwa, Smalling (De Laet, R Taylor)
Young, Silva, Arteta, Cabaye (Dyer)
Rooney, RVP, Holt

Used to have Dzeko instead of Holt but then that meant Petrov rather than Arteta and Ward rather than Smalling.

  Defence is fine, whole team is fine with Doyle maybe the one iffy one for me, think there may be better. I'd captain Rooney to be safe I think, can't be certain who out of city will start.
