While the title alludes to a debate on the merits of Kevin Campbell and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, it is instead a new podcast spilling with words on the Fantasy Football craze that’s taken the nation by storm – buy cheap at the back, buy big up front.

It’s working, in fact it’s working rather too well. Can it continue? Mark and I lay the subject down, cut it open and sift through the giblets to offer our post mortem. Messy stuff.

Elsewhere, the minutes are filled with more discussion on the fixtures vs form argument, with the usual regulars scattered liberally.

    Is it too much to have Rooney, Nani AND Young in your team? This is what I’m thinking of moving to next week (will involve an 8 point hit), but need to start making a move now to get Best in before his price rises:

    Kenny Vorm
    Bos Enrique Brown Simpson De Laet
    Young Nani Nasri Mata Dyer
    Rooney Dzeko Best

    Madness or genius???

          There's no way that Aguero isn't going to start at the weekend. Don't fret, Tevez and Balotelli played in the Carling Cup, so it will be Dzeko and Aguero, who've each had a week's rest.

              They were never going to play Carling Cup, that shouldn't come into the equation at all.

              I think the doubts are valid, but ultimately you can see them both playing up until the game is safe.

                Well yes, if the game is safe he'll certainly go off, but Everton is hardly a gimme and City are already playing catch up. He'll certainly start (and hopefully score lots of goals).

    Current team is:

    Given

    STaylor Kompany Enrique Bosingwa

    Young N'Zog Moses Silva

    Aguero Rooney

    Subs: Moreira Holt Dyer Wheater

    I have 0.4mil in the bank and two free transfers this week, currently thinking:

    N'Zog -> SWP
    Holt -> Best

    Can anyone convince me otherwise?

      I think he could be a great player at 6.5. The stats for his role, as a skill holding/ditributor, aren't that great in FPL terms but can see him getting forward a lot more than someone like Lucas or Mikel might in similar roles.

            What? We were having a conversation specifically about Chelsea's game about Fulham, and one of the many United minions could resist making a typical, essentially meaningless, comment about a United player.

            My post is completely different.

            Well it is, different treatments have different effects in different people at different times. It's just a case of known knowns and working to set assumptions. If occams razor doesn't apply in a particular case then they have to piss about [experiment] until they find a solution.

                    That's because no-one is allowed within 5 feet of him, otherwise they might smell him and realise he actually died when Mark Robins scored that goal that saved his job in 1990.

      Some of the goals have probably been hurting Ritchie a little bit, but his general performances have been excellent.

      "He's had bad luck with individual errors, I thought he's only a young lad, take him out of the firing line and put Russell in.

      Doesn't sound as though he's completely out of favour, but I can't see him getting back into a side that just won at Bolton. I'm definitely getting rid of him.
