Javier Hernandez is available and seems set to continue alongside Wayne Rooney up front for Sir Alex Ferguson’s league leaders as Man United look to maintain their 100% record with a tricky test at Stoke. Rio Ferdinand could return in central defence, whilst Chris Smalling will be hoping to shake off a groin injury. Tony Pulis’ side are without Kenwyne Jones who’s nursing a sore hamstring; Cameron Jerome and Peter Crouch should lead the line, unless Pulis decides to move Jonathan Walters from his recent role on the wing.

Daniel Sturridge is ruled out for Chelsea‘s visit of Swansea, but should be back next week. His absence opens the door for Nicolas Anelka to come in up front with Fernando Torres and Juan Mata in the three-pronged attack. Didier Drogba is another option for Andre Villas-Boas but with no game time since his concussion at Norwich, the Ivorian might have to make do with a substitute role. Brendan Rodgers must decide whether to recall the recovered Danny Graham or prolong Leroy Lita’s outing as the Swans’ lone forward.

Bacary Sagna is fit for Arsenal after overcoming a knock picked up in the defeat at Blackburn, but Yossi Benayoun is sidelined. Rafael Van der Vaart should slot back into the Spurs’ lineup, although Benoit Assou-Ekotto is a doubt with illness and Niko Kranjcar is ruled out. Darren Bent is out for Villa, who could welcome back the 50/50-rated Jermaine Jenas. David Goodwillie and Morten Gamst Pedersen are back in contention for Blackburn, but will Steve Kean find space on his team-sheet for the pair?

Buckle in to the driver’s seat and stay abreast with the latest injury reports, selection rumours and our predicted lineups over at Team News. News updates continue to flash through our ever-dependable Twitter feed, direct from the clubs and media.

Anyone considered doubling up on both Rooney and Chico? Think I'm going to do Young to Mata in the morning and then Suarez to Chico next week if Suarez fails v Wolves. 😐

has to be Ageuro surely. How many assists is silva going to get with no Ageuro...ok maybe some, but far less than with ageuro there.

Worried by man cities rotation of aguero/dzeko. he could come on and get 15 min towards the end of a game. Silva more likely to get the full 90 min.

I must confess I answered that from the perspective of someone who owns both Dzeko and Aguero but not Silva. Granted Silva is a safety first option. Aguero for the thrill seeker though...the rewards could be handsome.

      knee jerk sideways personified.

I have both however so luckily don't have such a choice.

Larsson and Jarvis are both capable of 10 + pt scores , but invariably will get 2-5 most weeks. Both much of a much ness in terms of threat.

You swapped a player who crosses the ball in a team that is inconsistent but can beat most teams on their day for a player who doesn't play. Good luck with your choices out of 14 players in future weeks against everyone else's choices out of 15.

          Ferguson is useless.
You will need 3 playing reserves later on.
Your reserves are Dyer (good budget pick) De Laet (f*cking useless!) and Ferguson...

no matter how much we say it people still keep getting him in.

If there was a player called Charles Hawtrey, who was 3m in midfield, and was indeed the same Charles Hawtrey in the carry on films would people get him in? No, of course not. But Freguson will get as many pts as Hawtrey this season, as in none, so why do it?

              Why, I say, Why !!???!!!

The argument for Ferguson: Im in a league where the person with the most points on the bench in a gameweek, and overall, has to pay out a penalty to everyone else at the end of the season..

So in this case it makes sense to have ferguson.

As well as being cheap, he's also pretty much guaranteed 0 points on my bench. which i want.

this week we will know...at the moment its unclear.

First week he was on the bench was because he historically is pants the game after an international. Second week he was recovering from injury. This week he is fit. If he's benched this week then we will know his days are numbered and he is first name out of my door.

Roy, as well as some of the players, were apparentely not very happy that he undermined his selection of Dorrans as the clubs penalty taker when he grabbed the ball away from him during mid-week to take their spot kick. Thankfully he scored it or he'd be in even deeper shit.

Could possibly effect the situation though.

    Club statement on Hargreaves (manutd.com)

Following certain comments reported in the media this morning, the Club has issued the following statement:

Manchester United is disappointed with Owen Hargreaves’ remarks after the game on Wednesday. The Club gave him the best possible care for three years and is as disappointed as anyone he was not able to play a part in the team’s success at that time. It has shared all the medical records with Manchester City and is comfortable with the actions taken by its medical staff at each step of his many attempts at rehabilitation.

United does not acknowledge any validity in the comments Owen is alleged to have made.

Manchester United has some of the best sports medical staff in world sport, who have made a significant contribution to United’s on-pitch success in recent seasons.

It seems a bit pathetic from Hargreaves considering how much money United spent on his medical treatment.

I would have thought that it is a legal requirement to share medical information between clubs if a player moves but not sure.

depends if they spent money on the wrong treatment and wasted his time and efforts.
i'm sure somewhere in all of this hargreaves' actual words have been taken out of context

He was clearly criticising the club with his comments, which probably means something must have gone wrong somewhere as I can't really see why he'd say anything otherewise.

Having said that, we spent a lot of money on his medical bills/wages and it's a bit harsh of him to criticise us AND go to City.

it is odd timing. you would have thought he was so happy to be back that he would have left all that in the past.
my reading of it is he was just really frustratd that none of what they tired was working, i doubt he now hates the club and the staff.
man city was probably the best offer he got too

'I received some injections but my tendon was never the same,' he said. 'After the injections, I tried to get back on my feet and they said my tendon was good, but it felt like I was made out of glass.

'With my tendon injury, I've had to be a guinea pig for a lot of these treatments. All the people there [at United] are lovely and everybody tries their best, but at times you come to a certain point where you need to make a decision.

'I wanted to play. Everyone wanted me to play, so it's not really an option to say, "sit it out and rest for six months". With hindsight it's a lot easier, but I wish I had not had the injections.'

Which combo is going to accrue more points long term:
    A) Cech + Tim Cahill
    B) Given + Mata
    C) Given + Nani

Just a bit of extra info – My second keeper is a dud (Kenny from QPR) so I’ll be playing Cech or Given every game.

Kenny is no more or less of a dud that Vorm, Krul or any other keeper playing for a bottom half team in my opinion.

QPR will probably get a similar amount of cleanies as Newcastle or Swansea for the rest of the season (i.e. not many), failing that save points when Given plays City/Utd away

Our Young Ashley is on 98 on Crack the Code and a "min" of 75% on TotalFPL to rise, does anyone know which one can be trusted at the moment? Seriously considering banking a further .1 on Young tonight and then selling for Mata and 4 points tomorrow morning.

Now I am really realy confused.
    Should i
    A)RVP & Holt > Dzeko & Adebayor
    B) RVP & Holt > Agbonglahor & Adebayor (with 2.4mill to bank)
    C) Holt > Best
I can't make my mind up and RVP will propably get a hatrick if i get rid of him.
Dzeko maybe rotated and Agbonglahor has no strike partner. What should I do?
