those of you plannin early transfers.. for the first time in my fpl career i did early transfers.. walcott and rooney to nani and aguero.. now i'm readin that walcott gonna be back for the chamions league game.. would'nt be surprised with similar news bout rooney.. i was sure walcott would be out for a while.. now i've gone and put 2 rotation risks in my team as i could'nt afford any rises and regrettin every second of it:(..
Open Controls-
I ditched Walcott for Nani - I think that's a sensible move for you too Keith.
Open Controls -
heh rooney will be rested dont worry.. and youre better off without walcott anyway !
Open Controls -
You've just stopped me using my 2 freebies to get in Ade and Mata - so thank you Mr Keith.
Open Controls -
Keith, where did you read that about walcott . i was thinking about the same transfer ?
Open Controls -
Walcott to Nani is fine.
Open Controls -
That is a decent calculated risk in my eyes Keith.
Walcott is a busted flush, he is massively injury prone, rotation risk and spurns chance after chance.
I don't think Rooney will play even if fit, Norwich would be a cake walk for a Utd B team and SAF will want to keep him away from the internationals.Open Controls

My motto is if changes have to be made at least if their done early in season points can easily be made up over the long season.
So after a few changes my update squad is this
Given (Ruddy)
Baines Brown Anton Ferdinand (Simpson) (Boyata)
Mata Brunt SWP Nani (Moses)
Aguero (C) RVP (VC) HoilettOpen Controls-
Baines still there! Have you seen his run of games (obviously you have but madness)

Given Vorm
Lescott Enrique S.Taylor Orr Caulker
Nasri Mata Sess Sinclair Moses
Rooney Suarez Dzeco
Just cant decide what needs improving most and whether to take points hits, im worrying with defense with two injuries, midfield missing Silva/Nani and my attack with Rooney and Dzeco worries. Can anyone steer me in the right direction of what you would do first and what points hits Id be best taking, only 1 free transfer, thanks.Open Controls-
With just the one transfer, I think you should wait on more new on Rooney.
Or if you're impatient, Go Nasri to Silva. I for one think bar Rooney, Silva's been the most consistent player this season. Right from GW1.Open Controls-
just knee kerk roo out for rvp in - what have i dooNNEEE!!!

Likely team for next GW:
Given(WIG)
Bosingwa(bol) Kompany(bla) Simpson(wol)
Sinclair(STO) SWP(ful) Sessegnon(WBA) Silva(bla)
Suarez(eve) RVP(tot) Rooney(NOR)
subs: Vorm(STO), Gabbidon(ful), Moses(avl), De Laet(mun)
Had a little look at the transfer page this afternoon and came up with these two options (i have 2 free transfers and nothing in the bank):
A - De Laet, Moses, Rooney -> Brown, Nani, Crouch/Sturridge
B - De Laet, Rooney -> Brown, Aguero
Selling Rooney looks like my only realistic way of raising some money to improve my defence/midfield. Either that or just swap for Aguero who i'm sure wil be amongst the goals at Ewood. Anyone like the look of A or B or am i going back to the drawing board? Cheers boys...Open Controls -

I dont understand y frnds keep holding on to wildcard though they r scoring consistently low..
Open Controls-
when I look at my team I LOVE that I played my WC. Also know that it would be difficult to get my team after all the price rises! 🙂
Open Controls -
They've had two in the first 6 weeks already ... and two left for the remaining 32 weeks.
I'm keeping mine for the international break coming up ... but many will keep it for a rainy day down the line.
There's really no 'better' or 'worse' time to use it, only if you use it well or poorly.
Either that or they know something you don't know -- something that will destroy you!!! 😉Open Controls

Any chance for some bonus points for Kompany, Walcot, Suarez, Agbonlahor????
Open Controls -
Evening, brief thoughts on todays from a fantasy football perspective.
Villa: N'Zogs doesn't look like scoring despite getting forward, Bannan looked excellent and what a free-kick he nearly scored with like to see him slightly more nailed on before putting him in. Warnock looks handy going forward wheras Hutton didn't look that threatening (and a defensive liability) on the other flank. Agbonlahor didn't suit the system villa played but that wasn't overly his fault and still picked up an assist.
QPR: Looked okay at the back, nothing more nothing less. Taarabt is a great talent but disappeared for large parts of the game. SWP gets in good positions but is a midget who can't finish. Barton looks good value especially with all the set plays as does Faurlin - is Faurlin a rotation risk? Bothroyd is an awful finished would expect to see DJ start the next game.
What do other people think?Open Controls -
Given (Ruddy)
Baines Brown Anton Ferdinand (Simpson) (Boyata)
Mata Brunt SWP Nani (Moses)
Aguero (C) RVP (VC) Hoilett
does my new squad look balanced or weak in 1 area ?Open Controls-
You WCed or just made transfers? It's different to many - Hoilett could be a decent punt. Not a fan of Baines currently.
Open Controls-
transfers mate WC already used before
Open Controls
-
-
Do you really want Baines in there, his fixtures look horrible. Are you on a WC now? I don't really like your defence AT ALL.
Baines - Bosingwa
Hoilett - Adebayor.Open Controls

-
Is Marknlard around?
Open Controls -
Bannan likely to hold downa place in the mid term (lets say 6 games)?
Rooney, Taarabt & Cabaye > Suarez, Nani & Bannan is tempting if so.Open Controls -
I agree I think baines will come of form and Eco I am going to by this week
Open Controls -
Anyone fancy a bit of Drogba for a couple of GW?
Open Controls-
what is your grav der-hammer?
Open Controls-
It looks like a curry...
Open Controls
-
-
rooney out drogba in.. for 3 gw probably
price lowering on R and gaining on D (after he scores a hattrick at bolton 🙂 )Open Controls-
I hope so, always been a huge fan of Drogba and think he will be hungry to prove himself in the absence of Torres.

WC activated. Al-Habsi & Given or Hennessey for the next ~15 GWs ?
Open Controls-
Mine also. I'm considering Begovic and Vorm as my keeper combo. Who are your three strikers?
Open Controls
-
-
Begovic or Given?
Open Controls -
What to do with Rooney mmmmmm
got 0.2m in bank so can afford to wait until later in week until more Info available...
I hate injuries lolOpen Controls -
Thinking of getting rid of Dzeko for Adebayor - good move????
Open Controls-
What other Man City cover have you got?
Open Controls-
Just silva
Open Controls-
Its not a bad move at all...however Man City are playing a poor Blackburn team next, saying that Dzeko may not even start whereas Adebayor is nailed on to start...with Silva in your team already I'd probably do it.
Open Controls-
Pretty much what I'm thinking Fred - bye bye Dzecko - double hatrick against Blackburn on the way...
Open Controls -
I see what you've done! Correct me if I'm wrong, because this is quite sophisticated humour, but you've combined the name of a football team with the name of a man who tortured, raped and murdered girls and women. Ha!

Silva.

also on paper at least man utd have played a lot of good sides so far, it's easy to forget that with the near perfect start they've had points wise. you could also argue they've left themselves stretched with such rampant attacking football.
i can see why man utd fans love him, he's like action man in shorts 😉 i love him too, it's just the chelsea game seemed a healthy wake up call to perhaps ease the hype, healthy in that his previously wagging tail was put between his legs which should do him good long term.Open Controls -
Ben Arfa and Given
Or
SWP and Ruddy
My other keeper is VormOpen Controls-
Krul or Kenny + Barton
Open Controls

Will Adebayor rise tonight? Planning a cheeky Rooney - ade trans. Cheers to anyone in the know!
Open Controls-
Looks unlikely.

Martin Petrov was, yet again, Bolton’s leading performer with an ICT Index score of 7.5. Impressively, he is the third most creative player this season according to our Index scores, behind Danny Murphy and David Silva.

thoughts on the villa penalty. with every new replay it looks more and more of a pen to me. still very soft though, the tug is there but it seems very subtle and minor
Open Controls-
sorry that a question: 'thoughts on the villa penalty?'
Open Controls-
i think it's more about consitency.. there was one like that early in the world cup and everyone was "oh is this a new directive"
nothing since that i've seen.. much worse happens all the time in the box.. it's either part of the game or not.. ref's have to be consistentOpen Controls
-
-
It was soft but doesn't mean it wasn't a pen. If it had been outside the area and the ref had a good view it would have been a foul and you would've seen few complaints.
Open Controls -
Bah - he was playing for it 😉
