With the world’s eyes on the Leicester City “masterclass” in Wales this afternoon our Fantasy Managers have just one fixture to take in this Sunday evening as the gameweek catches up on one half of the remaining fixtures.

The Dugout Discussion opens up for QPR to play host to Alex McCleish and his Villans. Both sides make just one change, the home side bring in Fitz Hall and the visitors bring in Steven Ireland for the injured Danny Gabbidon and Darren Bent respectively. Line-ups in full are…

QPR XI: Kenny; Young, Ferdinand, Hall, Traore; Derry, Faurlin; Taarabt; Barton, Wright-Phillips; Bothroyd

Villa XI: Given; Hutton, Collins, Dunne, Warnock; Petrov, Delph, Ireland, N’Zogbia, Bannan; Agbonlahor

With Fantasy Managers keeping close eyes on the last remnants of their outfits -somehow I’ll be rooting for up to seven figures across games myself- we’ll be with you through all of the action to holler and whoop as appropriate in the Dugout Discussion.

Definitely wait until we know the team news for the Norwich game. If you get rid of him now, and he then plays and scores another hattrick, you'll rightly feel like a bit of an idiot.

Apparently Warnock called Armand Traore 'thick and naive' after his red, as well as saying:

"I thought Traore was a disgrace for his red card and I'll be fining him as much as I can."

    Serious stuff.

Warnock did an interview, ranted about the ref. Then having cleared his thoughts came back to do another, and was even more vociferous.
He's clearly going to get done by the FA.

In ffl Young is the most successful midfielder with 45 points and Nani is 3rd with 42 why would anyone want to change them. The only risk is rotation imo.

If you take hits every week you will be several hundred points worse off at the end of the season.

Hey In Like Flynn, looked like our wish for the 1-1 worked out perfectly! Even more strangely, between the 2 of us our prediction was bang on, you said an own goal and I said Bannan for Villa!

Fingers crossed for a similar result tomorrow.

Ok, my team is absolutely rubbish. This is the first GW that I've taken seriously and thanks to people's help on this website, I did okay by my standards. My team is:

    Given (Vorm)

A Cole - Jose Enrique - Kompany (Brown - Ward)

    Silva - Cabaye - Moses - Sessegnon - Sinclair

    Aguero - Van Persie (Holt)

Any tips for next week? I recognise that A Cole should be downgraded to Bosingwa and with the resulting money, I can upgrade Holt to Adebayor. However, if Rooney is fit I will bring him in for Aguero. Help would be MASSIVELY appreciated 🙂

That seems a good squad and you have good options already in mind. Don't think I can add much to what you're thinking ...

How many free trades do you have? As for Aguero/Roon, I'd wait for mid-week games and further info on Roon's status. Just place that itchy transfer finger on a cold brew-ha and relax a bit 😉

Personally, Given is going over to my 'dead to me' list.

Brought him in for his 'easy' opening fixtures and due to a 'defensive' style from Mcleish. Tactical fail. Thinking Begovic as my newer, cheaper, 2-point 'keeper.

I have Benzema hoping he will

Milito scored twice I think during the weekend as did RVP

Silva outshines Nasri to the point where he doesn't do much and I've been thinking about ditching him myself

2 points won't hurt you that badly. Do what you think is good.

Inter has been struggling besides yesterday

Fantasy CL news from the Bundesliga:

Bayern Munich comfortably beat a woefully unimaginative Bayer 04 Leverkusen 3-0 at the weekend. After five weeks out, Arjen Robben was fit enough to come on as a substitute for the last quarter of an hour and scored, but complained of stiff muscles afterwards. Don't think he'll start against Man City, but he could be on the bench.

Daniel van Buyten and Mario Gómez played from the beginning for Bayern. With the game already won, Gómez was taken off after an hour to rest him for the Man City match. Defender Breno definitely won't play after being arrested by Munich police on suspicion of burning down his own luxury villa. Very strange.

In their defence, Leverkusen are currently hit by a number of injuries. Absent at the weekend were Michael Ballack (flu virus), Schwaab (knee) and Schürrle (suspended). Lone stiker this time was the ever-clueless Stefan Kießling in place of Derdiyok. Somewhat surprisingly, Bayer coach Robin Dutt also gave 17-year-old right-back Danny da Costa his debut, and unsurprisingly, the very in-form Franck Ribéry ran rings around him and da Costa was subbed off after 64 minutes. Can't imagine that he will be risked by Leverkusen in the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund, who deservedly won 2-1 in Mainz, replaced the injured Schmelzer at left-back with Chris Löwe. To the relief of their fans, they also started with Ivan Perišić in left midfield instead of the willing but technically limited Kevin Großkreutz. Perišić duly scored again and is on form, but Dortmund once again missed a hatful of chances and look weak in front of goal. Fortunately their key striker, the Paraguayan Lucas Barrios came on for the last 15 minutes after a lengthy injury break caused by a thigh strain picked up at the Copa America. Again, how long Borussia risk Barrios for in the Champions League is unclear.

FC Basel news also available, if anyone wants it.
