A game for the (fantasy) football die-hards tonight, as Norwich City play host to Sunderland in the Gameweek six finale. Whilst Gary Neville has been fiddling with his gadgets for the best part of an hour, the Dugout Discussion has just opened for the late shift, and if you’ve just tuned in the team news from Carrow Road is as follows…

Norwich XI: Ruddy, Naughton, Russell Martin, Barnett, Tierney, Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Fox, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Morison.

Sunderland XI: Mignolet, O’Shea, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Elmohamady, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan, Bendtner, Sessegnon.

Both Paul Lambert and Steve Bruce have the rare luxury of naming an unchanged eleven. That means Wes Hoolahan continues in an advanced position, whilst Grant Holt sits on the pine for the Canaries. Big summer signings John O’Shea, Wes Brown and Niklas Bendtner all start for the Black Cats.

      I think Walcott will, as there were reports of the injury not being too bad, and him even being able to start in the Champions league tomorrow.

      On Rooney, i dont think he will, but we could know more tonight after the United game

      I very much think he should be gone now jack, you are welcome to get rid but after GW1 I got rid. Some people can play well and get no FPL returns, I think he is one of them!

          at 4.9 who is better?
          I obviously have to see things from him first.
          But he doesnt seem to be a Modric type player (good player, no fantasy returns) as he players further forward and has alot of shots/vital passes but has just been unlucky it seems..

            He's been unlucky for weeks, the same can be said for sessegnon who hasn't played badly but still hasn't scored! Although he is tasty at 4.9 I'd go for someone like Bradley Johnson, he seems to be getting better rewards!

                I've got Moses Jack, His fixtures in September were harsh,ease up a lot for October and November, he has another two weeks to prove his worth for me. If he can't shape up he'll be playing reserves and training with the kids. 😉

                  Just need a decent, cheap replacement for SWP if he doesnt deliver over the next 2 considering his fixtures after that.

    need to get rid of de laet, which transfer looks better?

    brunt and de laet to ramires and brown for a 4pt hit and .1 left in the bank
    or de laet to enrique for no hit and .6 in the bank?

    and either of these would probably involve keeping rooney unless I change my mind at the last min 😉

      Don't do the hit. I assume De Laet is on your bench (as he is mine)so sell him when you get a spare tranny.

            Save it.. Besides last w/end ramires has never really been renowned for his fpl returns or goals and brunt has some good fixtures although form is a little questionable atm. Dunno bout ur rooney situation, would have to see full team

      if you're looking where to free up some cash you could downgrade begovic to krul or kenny or someone in that price range (or take a risk on ruddy and free up a solid 1 mil). you could also consider rooney > rvp or suarez > adebayor but not sure if you want to make that sacrifice or not. or you could do shawcross > woodgate because you have quite an expensive defensive line between begovic, bosingwa, taylor r, enrique and shawcross.

    I have what I consider to be a fairly good team but I have had yet another poor return this week and am dragging majorly in my league.

    My team is

    Enrique Luiz Simpson De Laet Shorey

    Dzeko Ade Suarez

    0.9 mil in the bank

    I know Luiz isn't a nailed on starter but surely he must play soon and when he does the points will come?! If not Shorey stands in.

    Anyhow my questions is should I keep the faith in my team and accumulate 2 transfers for the international break or should I get rid of Dzeko for another striker and/ or get rid of Luiz for Kompany or Bosingwa for a 4 point hit??

    What do you guys think of Rooney > Nani and Silva > Aguero?
    I've got a city defender so thinking 3 of them is a bit much now that arsenal have started performing. But only have 1 Man United player so concered if Rooney doesn't play. Or should I just wildcard and change it all?

          Silva will be number 1 midfielder IMO, and Rooney will be number 1 Forward...
          I think Silva and one of Nani/Young is essential, and it isnt hard to fit 2.

      Similar situation. 0.0m in the bank for me though so my options are slimmer. I'm either going O'Hara or Ramsey if I do it this week. Saying that, I've given him that many chances, WBA at home 'should' prove to be fruitful for him!.. Ramires and SWP decent shouts in your position.

    My team now:

    Krul Vorm
    Bos Saylor Traore (Red card) Richards Brown
    Obertan Anderson Young Moses Silva
    Rooney (Injured) Dzeko Adebayor

    1.1m in the bank, 1 free transfer

    Do I keep Traore and Rooney? Replace both, or only one of them? But my midfield is worrying too. not getting much points, only Silva is consistent... What should I do?

      depends if you have other swansea or AVL defenders. I am playing Vorm with the potential of a AVL CS covered by Warnock. (hope that makes sense?)

        Same as me but other way round.. Playing Given with Swans cleanie covered by Naylor. Woudln't want to double up on Swans with Vorm and Naylor just incase so yea. If u have no swans or AVL defenders I really don't know.. I guess Given coz wigan have been pretty poor but I like Vorm.

        Nobody said prices aren't important.
        Team Value is less important than points, doing transfers based on someone falling/rising is silly.
        Transferring early to beat price rises on a transfer(s) you were always going to do is important, that of which you stupidly didn't do.

      on paper points obv more important.. however in practice the prices get you the players who in turn get you the points.. i made that exact transfer on sunday night.. today i'd've been 0.2 short

        Same here, I brought on Nani/Adebayor/Aguero this week, all before rises, I didn't transfer because of rises, I transferred early because of rises, I would have been 0.3 off had I not
