This week’s episode of the FFS podcast features some classic match-ups – Nani vs Young, Narni vs Nanny, Tomayto vs Tomahto, Sessegnon v Row Z, Common Sense vs Mark.

All battles are resolved, with the regular stalwarts of the ScoutCast thrown in, culminating with Mark’s desperate defence of his seemingly unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Also, look out for a mention of my Champions League placing – England’s number one for 24 hours no less.

Grab the goodness here…

Did I mention I was England’s number one in the Champions League game? (edit – I see Mark has been busy editing my post)

Surprised Paddy Power offering 8/13 on what is being talked as a formality for Man City,

I don't think it's a formality - just look at what happened to City at Fulham, and their midweek defeat/Tevez saga will be hurting them. Seriously don't understand when people post questions such as 'who to Captain? Nani or Aguero?'

I agree with both your points, had a mate earlier telling me how Aguero will get him a hatrick as captain. When i suggested he lay 130 to win 80 on the game he basiclly said it was far 2 risky, im certain you know where im coming from.True story, No football game is a formality away from home in PL.

If you had to choose either Rooney or Aguero over the next 7 fixtures, who would you go for? Fixture-wise, they seem fairly even imo.

    Rooney:
Norwich(?), Liverpool, Man City, Everton, Sunderland, Swansea, Newcastle

    Aguero:
Blackburn, Villa, Man Utd, Wolves, QPR, Newcastle, Liverpool

          Granville's right.

Was at Old Trafford when he took and scored two in the same match against Spurs in the 2009/10 season.

Add in that Champion's League Final 2008 peno when the pressure was insane and you'll see he's a great penalty taker.

Mark doesn't really know, it's an educated guess considering he used to take them at Villa before Bent arrived.

That was my transfer this week, well backwards that is, I transfered out RVP for Aguero. I know I'm going against the grain here but I dont like Arsenals fixtures over the next 2 GWs compaired to Man Cities and I also dont see RVP going up very much in price, where as Aguero is going to go up like crazy during the international break. So Aguero for the next 2 GWs for sure and then I'll take another look at the situation.

If it helps for the first one I'm playing Crouch up front. Better to risk it all on him scoring, or hedge my bets with Vorm?

it's a bitch of a choice. QPR look a god side but bothroyd their striker still can't score. plus fulham are normally a solid unit at home.
the thing that's swung it for me is stoke and fulham played tonight and although stoke are hard to beat they're not exactly free scoring away from home. so vorm and hope swansea boss the possession as you'd expect and don't get bullied at set-pieces. would play crouch too just incase, so hedge. really hard choice though, same as the petrov one, i don't trust michael turner coming in alongside brown but it's hard to bench brown on paper with that fixture

Ye didn't consider Fulham playing tonight. Plus QPR's best results have come away so far, so I'll go Vorm.

Sunderland-WBA looks like a nailed on 0-0 to me, and Wolves will probably end 1-0 or 1-1. Don't expect Chelsea to keep a CS, but Bos could easily get attacking points.

Hardest bench choice this season so far, already ruled out Dyer and S.Taylor who could still score decently.

Pick as many bones as you can...

    Vorm (Krul)
    Brown Ward Bosingwa (Simpson Delaet)

Brown, Ward, Taarabt and Best look iffy choices. The Young V Nani debate will rage on, and it could easily be Young's turn this week. Aguero (c)?

Hmm... Taarabt I'm giving 2 more games... then will flog maybe for Ramsey... who for is undecided.

Brown and Ward isn't easy as they are still good value and my back 5 rotate quite well. I'd say De Laet > Naylor(Swansea) is a future move.

Aye, I have Aguero captain with Young as (v)

Ah perfect timing for a scoutcast. Off to England on the ferry this weekend so will fill a bit of the time between being charged about £2500 for a manky breakfast and watching rotund people puking over the side.

I know but there's no point doing a 2 gw forward swap as I have other areas to be addressed. I am an L'pool fan though. Ride it through the next 2 gws and Bob's my uncle, and I reckon L'pool could skin Eve even though away.

First off I'm defo playing Sinclair and Best with their decent fixtures and generally I prefer playing more attackers to defenders.

Kompany and Bosingwa pick themselves which leaves you with Brown or N.Taylor. Considering their lack of attacking prowess you're going by who is more likely to keep a cleanie and for me that's Taylor.

          So bench Brown.

Cool. There's quite a difference between the two drop estimations currently. eg Rooney on -34% on totalfpl (ie not dropping, yet), but -125% on CTC (ie dropping). Think I'll err on the side of caution and go with CTC's readings...
