This week’s episode of the FFS podcast features some classic match-ups – Nani vs Young, Narni vs Nanny, Tomayto vs Tomahto, Sessegnon v Row Z, Common Sense vs Mark.

All battles are resolved, with the regular stalwarts of the ScoutCast thrown in, culminating with Mark’s desperate defence of his seemingly unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Also, look out for a mention of my Champions League placing – England’s number one for 24 hours no less.

Grab the goodness here…

Did I mention I was England’s number one in the Champions League game? (edit – I see Mark has been busy editing my post)

      If it helps, I've got a sneaky that Jarvis could be a good punt this weekend. Read a stat or two earlier that Toon have conceded the third highest % of shots from their right flank... good news for Jarvis this weekend if he plays.

    Here's a team of players who you might encounter on a nice day out in the countryside:

    Flowers
    Bramble, Woodgate, Baird, Babb
    Park, Cat or mole, Fox, Eagles
    Twigg, Ranger.

    Thanks.

    Recommend me something to watch on TV (or buy the DVD I guess, but even better if on TV/Sky). For reference, I like stuff like 24, Dexter, Prison Break, Lost, and police / mystery stuff like Taggart, Law and Order, CSI, Poirot, Frost, etc

                Great atmospheric eerie show though. Great writing as well, which is more than I can say for the writers of Lost who left more loose ends than a grass skirt.

    Anyone else considering Gerrard as a differential? And when I say considering i mean put him in your team before another player drops because you're so far behind it's untrue.

    Long term...

    a) Aguero and Suarez

    b) Rooney and Dzeko

    (Adebayor is the third striker)

      A

      You can have Nani/Young instead of Rooney. I don't see anything worthy in Liverpool's midfield.

      Mixed opinions then. I'm thinking A)...

      Taarabt is on my bench for this one, so I'm not giving him much chance to prove himself. If I got Ramires, I guess I'd play him and bench, er... Simpson... No... Baines.

      Ramires or Baines? Ramires. With Baines first on the bench.

      And Young to Nani for a second freebie.

      Sorted!

    Right my team has problems. They're called Rooney, Dzeko, De Laet and maybe even Lescott. Want Nani but can't really get him yet, but I have several transfers in mind so pick yer favourite.

    1. Dzeko & Lescott -> Kompany & Aguero
    2. Rooney & Dzeko -> Aguero & RVP
    3. Dzeko & Brunt -> Sturridge & Nani
    4. Rooney, Lescott & Brunt -> Enrique, Nani, Aguero (8pt hit means having Silva, Dzeko and Aguero up front)

    What d'ye reckon?

    Is it just me or is this site a lot less fun to be on this year?
    Okay, RBJ wasn't everyones cup of tea but love him or loathe him he inspired conversation/banter. We used to talk about many things non FPL related when it was quiet and had a lot of banter. This year the site seems somewhat flat despite everyones early fears that the 'noobs' drawn in by the link to FFS on FPL would ruin the forum.
    I posted earlier that both Scarface and Pulp Fiction were about to start in HD and asked for a vote on which to record but got no comment. Last year the debate would have gone on for ages on a Thursday night.
    So many peeps are either not posting or are posting a lot less, apart from the afore mentioned RBJ, Dbr, Chill pill, MF, to name a few always provoked debate and controversy, even the staples like JP, Atb and Ap are posting far less, probably because 'Rooney to Aguero'? is not particularly stimulating.
    The fact that the twat whose name I've forgotten already spamming constantly to join his league (which apparently isn't even his league according to JP) seems to have provoked the most response says it all really. 🙁

      It's just that this years game is different, in a slightly negative way IMO. I don't know if Im putting this out correct, but I seem to be more worried about my FPL team this year than last.

      Price rises. Bonus fkuc ups. Bonus delays. I think people are just generally a little frustrated with the game this season. It's less easy going with more bandwagons.

      PS: Khizer95 was his name 😛

      But really, I sympathize with you mate.

      Ronaldo best footballer in the world.

      FPL has become a lot more serious than a bit of fun. Quite a few people have been depressed about this season, so more FPL related topics have come up. Can't do much about it to be frank. Just wait and see how it pans out.

      This is the first year I've been on here so I dont really know what it was like before, but it seems to me that even interesting articles that could raise a good discussion are quickly over run with the same old questions

      I think it would really help if you had standalone continually running comment strings for each of RMTs, transfer decisions, and rules/admin enquiries

      Then you have one for general banter, and then on articles hopefully you just keep it for related comments. This will make it a lot easier for folk to find out what they want?

      And perhaps we could have a section of the website that just has important standalone information to do with when prices change / when bonus points get awarded etc etc

      I think it's more serious because it's everyone elses fault that I am doing crap because having two wild cards already wasn't enough for me and they're all complete eejits and a bunch of sheep for picking form players over the ones with good fixturs 😉

      Must... stop... internal... dialogue...

      P.S. you should have recorded Pulp Fiction 😯

        Arsenal now Man City's feeder club? Seems that way.

        Still think it was moronic for Wenger to state he would never sell Nasri to a rival like Man Utd, then sell him to City.
