This week’s episode of the FFS podcast features some classic match-ups – Nani vs Young, Narni vs Nanny, Tomayto vs Tomahto, Sessegnon v Row Z, Common Sense vs Mark.

All battles are resolved, with the regular stalwarts of the ScoutCast thrown in, culminating with Mark’s desperate defence of his seemingly unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Also, look out for a mention of my Champions League placing – England’s number one for 24 hours no less.

Grab the goodness here…

Did I mention I was England’s number one in the Champions League game? (edit – I see Mark has been busy editing my post)

Right I make it 15 minutes until the prices change

And Aguero, Mata, Adebayor and Arteta are all about to rise so I need to act now. I've waited all week to get sure about Rooney before shifting him out, and sat through price rises for so many targets.

Any team news for City or United before I take the plunge?

OK went for it just before 4am.
Rooney > Aguero (captured 0.2 profit, though obv will bring him back at some point)
Jarvis > Nani (captured 0.2 profit)
      Dzeko > Best

Not totally satisfied. But I was never going to be after agonizing all week about it.

That's why I was so desperate to transfer! I transferred 3:59 lol. I hope I haven't done anything rash in my haste, although screw that, what's done is done and I'll go crazy obsessing about spilt milk. Particularly if Rooney plays tomorrow 😀

If Rooney DOESN'T play I think he'll drop a lot in international break. He's already dropped 0.1 without people knowing if he's not playing. I think we can buy him back at a 0.1 loss.

Solid team, yes, lineup got potential and bench is in right order.

Not sure about SWP being cutting enough, but he's got more chance of points than Tiote. Not sure about Petrov either. If you downgrade one to cheap and effective N Dyer I think you can upgrade the other to something formidable.

I have Nani and Aguero too - currently leaning to captain Aguero for the goals but it's just so risky given rotation. If he comes on as late sub...

Drogba could be fantastic, but I'm worried he'll get limited minutes

I'd look at Dzeko > Adebayor ASAP, then possibly downgrade one of your more expensive defenders to a cheapie in order to swap Suarez > Aguero.

Unless of course Suarez goes off in the next couple of weeks like some people think he will, in which case no need to worry.

lol... it was a crazy gamble I actually posted on the forum. Vorm was in form, Schwarzer not really, I thought Chelsea lacked the killer touch, totally mistrusted the Fulham defence after getting rid of their defenders, and since Vorm had got me 8pts before with save bonuses, I figured he would make plenty of saves against Chelsea and maybe get my points even if I didn't get a CS. He got exactly 0.

Thanks for helping me see sense, Vorm and Nani do look the obvious choices now. QPR should create more chances and Aguero is 'playing' away, for who knows how long, plus unlikely to get assists and gets one less point per goal. Plus Rooney almost certainly missing so more fun for Nani. Done.

yeah, I have Nani and Aguero myself and I'm playing Vorm this week. Silva always comes before Aguero in regard to the armband imo.

But anyways, Nani for sure needs to be captain this week. Home against Norwich could be a massacre and he will want to be involved in all the goals with Rooney out plus he has a good record at OT

Yep this is Nani's week. I hope the weight of fantasy football expectation doesn't crush him, lol.

Tough call, Silva v Aguero for the armband. I just think Aguero scores too often to favour Silva.

Silva will find his scoring boots eventually, he's been really unlucky. Went off the post vs Swansea and twice off the post last week. Besides the Tottenham game(2 tremendous brad freidel saves), he's been captain material every game week.

Yes it would in my humble opinion.

I think Graham is preferred at Swansea just unlucky that he got injured and Lita scored a few weeks ago. Saw Graham came on for Lita after 58 mins last week so I'm guessing he may replace him in the starting line up soon, if not this week.

I say go for it. Nani is more than enough MANU cover and RVP in form with nice fixtures over the coming GW's.

Be warned though, RVP has a poor injury history and with up to two games for Holland over the international break may get injured. You will want to have a back up plan (read WC or transfers spare) should old glass ankles rear his ugly head.

Gotta ditch Senderos. Doubling up on Villa defence seems risky. Would honestly play Simpson over Dunne wierdly. I like it otherwise

I agree, he goes for Woodgate next week (with my 0.2m in the bank). Villa - at home to Wigan - doesn't get much better than that for clean sheets. Doubling up is a gamble, but Dunne is also capable of scoring (and before you say it, I don't mean in his own net...)

The problem with Senderos is he's a massive rotation risk. Villa to win 2-0 (Dunne x2) would be just lovely.

    Dzeko -> Aguero and Odem -> Graham/Lita/Morrison

My team would then look like:

    Given (Vorm)
Jose Enrique Bosingwa Kompany (N Taylor Simpson)
    Moses Mata Nani(C) Silva(VC) O'Hara
    Suarez Aguero (Graham/Lita/Morrison)

    Should it be done?!?!?!?!
Otherwise was just gonna trade Dzeko out for Adebayor

What are your thoughts on O'Hara? I'm either bringing him or Ramsey in for Sessegnon this week...

Re your move(s) above, do you have 2 free? If not, definitely just Dzeko -> Adebayor. If yes, it's tough, but I'd probably still just get Adebayor (Having Moses and one of those 3 bits of garbage in your front 8 isn't worth it)...

O'Hara has been dissapointing. I haven't watched any Wolves games though so I don't really how well he's doing but from what I hear, he doesn't seem to be doing much. I think you should go for Ramsey, especially with Wilshere out.

I don't have two frees, I didn't factor that in...
I think Adebayor is the sensible choice then

Apparently he's been firing the shots in, so his time could come - decent fixtures and on all set pieces too, so I'd definitely stick with him if I had him already. I'm swaying towards Ramsey on the basis that Arsenal will score a lot more goals that Wolves, and he should play most games and be involved.

Dzeko -> Adebayor is your move this week. I'm doing Dzeko & Sess -> Adebayor & Ramsey this week with my 2 frees. Now just watch Dzeko start and bang in a hat-trick...

Hi bdwhite, i had the exact same dilemma and went with Nani as the safer option.
I brought Drogba in on an impulsive good feeling, also his record shows that he has scored 5 goals in his last 6 games vs Bolton.
I'm still concerned about his gametime though, even though i'd like to think that with Torres out he'd play.

It would be a 4 point hit but i just feel a tad uneasy about not having Aguero now he's nailed on to start and Blacburn have most of their backline out, that and the fact that they are pants!
