Juan Mataโ€™s assist gave us the merest whiff of a win in Gameweek 6, but with the Spaniard failing to add to his goal tally in the 4-1 win over Swansea, we took the loss on the chin and moved on.

We fancy our chances of bettering Paddy Power this time around though โ€“ with nailed-on Fantasy forces Nani and Sergio Aguero in the mix, along with some leftfield options from Scott Sinclair and John Arne Riise, plus a tempting little accumulator on the big scoring strikers. Paddy has set up some individual markets around this weekโ€™s top Fantasy picks, letโ€™s see what kind of hand theyโ€™ve dealt us.

Nani is just irresistible right now and, even though Wayne Rooney will likely be on the pitch while the Norwich rabbit wanders into the Old Traffford headlights, we still fancy the Portuguese trickster to take centre stage. Understandably, his regular goal odds are short but, Paddy are happy to tempt us with some longer odds for some Fantasy combos โ€“ you can get 5/1 on Nani earning a goal and an assist, with the same price available for a goal from outside the box. While theyโ€™re very decent offers, weโ€™ll take the shorter odds of 4/1 on a Nani goal and United clean sheet double act โ€“ weโ€™ll gladly stake ยฃ3 of our tenner on that one.

While Rooney has been attending early fittings of the golden boot โ€“ Sergio Aguero also fancies trying it on for size. The Argentinian is just a single goal behind the United man in the race for leading scorer and, with a trip to Ewood Park beckoning, heโ€™s got to fancy his chances. Again the odds on Ageuro being on the scoresheet are understandably short, but Paddy has cooked up some alternatives to your straight first or anytime goal bets. You can get 9/2 on two or more Aguero goals, but we prefer the 6/1 odds on a goal in each half โ€“ throwing a couple of quid Paddyโ€™s way on that.

Scott Sinclair brought us our first Flutter win of the season a few Gameweeks back so heโ€™s a player we hold close to our hearts around these parts. With Stoke at the Liberty Stadium this weekend, weโ€™ve revisited our favourite Chelsea reject to get prices on further goal exploits. While Paddy is offering 21/10 on an anytime goal, with 11/2 to score a free-kick of penalty, we particularly like the odds of 9/1 on a Sinclair assist coupled with a Swansea clean sheet. A bit of a punt, but we have faith in Sinclair as our lucky charm.

Fulhamโ€™s John Arne Riise is our final single player market and, while heโ€™s let us down in the Flutter before now, weโ€™re willing to give him another chance to bring in some profit as Fulham face QPR at the Cottage. Again, we could go for the shorter odds here with Paddy pushing 12/5 on a Fulham clean sheet and Riise to avoid a booking. Thereโ€™s also 7/2 on a Riise assist, but weโ€™re going to go with the healthy odds of 14/1 on Riise to score from outside the box. He who dares.

To round things up and to soak up our final couple of quid, weโ€™ve got our usual accumulator bet. This gameweek weโ€™re putting our eggs firmly in the basket marked โ€œHeavy Hittersโ€ โ€“ backing one or more goals for Aguero, Luis Suarez and Robin Van Persie. Paddy have priced this market at 14/1 โ€“ worth a shout with all three strikers carrying form into their respective matches.

Derby hero Money Back Special!

Paddy have focused on this weekend’s derby matches for not just one, but three, money back specials.

In the Everton vs Liverpool clash at Goodison, if Luis Suarez OR Marouane Fellaini score the last goal, Paddy will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Similarly, in the West London derby at the Cottage, should DJ Campbell or Bobby Zamora score the last goal, Paddy will give you your money back on all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Finally, at White Hart Lane, if Emmanuel Adebayor scores, Paddy Power will again refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match. That’s got to be worth a sniff.

Register and Bet ยฃ10 And Get ยฃ20 Free

If youโ€™re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free ยฃ20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Powerโ€™s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Senderos should definitely be last sub as his playing time sucks, he may well not play or play very limited minutes (which is of course the worst case scenario). Simpson and Moses order is probably correct as I fancy Toon for a CS.

Was it 60 minutes you need for a CS? It's a dilemma for me too as I have Nathan Dyer, Simpson and Senderos on the bench in that order right now. Fulham have a great chance of CS, I just can't be sure Senderos will be part of it. You reckon Fulham or Newcastle have a better chance of one?

I wait until Thursday in case Rooney's situation changes, through tons of price changes too, ship him out and BAM, I log in today and his red flag has disappeared. C'EST LA FECKING VIE. So, is he really going to play the full 90 or what?

... anyway, no point crying over spilt milk. Given the monster is back, who should I captain?

    Nani/Young/Aguero/Silva?

It was Nani (C), Aguero (VC).

I'm almost certain you want Nani over Young. Nani scores far more from midfield and is in incredible form. Plays more central than winger Young so more dangerous.

Be careful about captaining Rooney this week as you can't be sure how long he'll play...

Nice strikeforce but is it a bit risky having both Dzeko and Aguero - they might take each other's points and I'm sure Balotelli is going to get some good game time tomorrow.

The value thing is a bit of a red herring, in any situation you have to play the cards you're dealt in the best possible way. Obviously you want to shift out expensive players you bench, but if you can't at the minute, you can't have value affecting your decisions - only points. I have Schwarzer and Vorm, but I'm picking Vorm for this one even though he's cheaper, because I think QPR have a pretty good attack and Stoke not really, especially playing away.

I wouldn't be so sad about it actaully. It's so worrying having him because I have no guarantee that he will even play 60 minutes. I don't understand the Young v Nani debate though, since Young takes all the corners and FKs. Their goals will average out over the season even though Nani's ahead right now.

tougher call than it should be. If Roy plays Brunt on the wing rather than centrally he might do something, but Roy seems determined to nullify our attack... Petrov is always good for an assist. Having said that I'd edge towards Brunt, but don't be surprised if the game is 0-0

I have Aguero, Rooney and Young and I'm leaning towards Aguero. I know I'll regret it when I see Roon in the starting XI but at the moment there is just a slight chance Roon will start on the bench and maybe come on later in the game.

I'm sure Aguero will start however. and at least B'burn have been shipping an average of 3 goals a game thus far so I can see A

You can make a good case for all three, I think. B'burn were an absolute shambles defensively in the Arsenal game and that was with their first choice defence - apparently Dann, Salgado are doubtful, and Olsson is suspended, making the team even weaker. It could well be a cricket score.
On the other hand Nani is fresher than Aguero, in good form and is a star at OT. Could easily be a big score as well. Tough choice.

If Rooney hadn't had his hamstring injury, I'd order them: Rooney, Nani, Aguero. But there's a chance of less than 90 mins for young Wayne, so thus I'd order them Nani, Aguero, Rooney for this week. A punt on Rooney could easily pay off though.

          All good options, basically.

Get rid of him as soon as you can, before his value drops. Truly awful run of fixtures starting today really!

I'd replace him with a defender worth about 5M or so and invest the approx 3M you free up on a quality attacker. VDV would not be a bad option, though Arsenal have the best fixtures coming up out of the "marquee" teams.

But if you keep Baines it could be worth keeping him in your team this week on reflection. If Everton do get anything from the derby it is likely to come through Baines.

Why do you have Nasri on the bench when he is playing Blackburn? I think Dzeko will start on the bench after his outburst but still has a chance to come on and score some points.

I personally would play them both and bench Jarvis or Dyer but if I had to choose one from Dzeko/Nasri then I'd go with Nasri.

Jarvis and Dyer are poorer players in poorer teams who have/will score less points than Nasri over the course of the season.

Dyer did well last gameweek of course but he didnt do anything the previous 4GWs. Also Wolves and Jarvis are off form.

All pointing to putting Nasri in IMO

I doubt Young will be benched, but using the Guardian as a source is hardly convincing ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm not sure why I keep hearing this line that Young might be benched. The fact he's played every game could also suggest that he's almost definitely going to start too- why randomly drop him now?

My gut feeling is that Fergie will want as much creativity/speed on the pitch as possible in order to break down Norwich at home. I cant see them coming to OT and playing an open expansive game against us.

I bet you 2 buttons Young will play ๐Ÿ˜‰

If that's the case, how much game time you think Rooney will get?? Wanna captain him but worried he comes off bench.

It's a tough one with Rooney because he's returning from injury. We dont know how well he's trained and how his hammy is feeling.

I get the feeling he will play from the start and will only come off if we are cruising and comfortable (and he will of course by that point helped himself to many points too).

But I'm not taking the risk myself and am playing it safe and giving the armband to Aguero

SAF will be well aware that Norwich will come to Old Trafford parking the bus, trying to kill the game. He also arrives on the back of a scary result in their last home game: Basle. You don't want desperation to creep in if Norwich manage to frustrate United and run the clock down, so I think SAF will deploy his strongest team from the start and sub off after hopefully taking the lead. I reckon Rooney will start and be subbed 60-70 mins in. Then again, take what I say with a pinch of salt as I gambled on Rooney not playing this week :o)

Risky move IMO. Especially if you have Aguero or Nani who are very good and obvious candidates for the armband

Bit of a gamble, but could be a great catcher-upper move if he outguns Rooney.

Taarabt - I'm sure Jafa can wheel out the stats too.

Dyer seems to be causing a lot of consternation this morning!

Dyer I think. He's Swansea's main mid going forward unlike Taarabt who's deep-lying, and Taarabt is playing against Fulham who should do a good defensive job at home, whereas Swansea are hosting Stoke who are weak away.

You guess wrong, hombre. I unwisely sat in my local pub watching a whole match of QPR against Newcastle a fortnight ago. Barton and in particular SWP seemed to drive the attacks with Taarabt roaming behind them directing long balls everywhere.

Yeah that's what I was leaning towards, but I'll be mad if Fulham let one in. I've been let down by them so many times already this season in 'easy' matches.
