Gabby Agbonlahor’s goal and assist in Aston Villa’s win over Wigan yesterday laid down the gauntlet for his fellow low-priced Fantasy forwards and this afternoon saw three more players step up with some double figure returns.

Daniel Sturridge was first out the traps in Chelsea’s Reebok rout. When available, Sturridge has started every league game for Andre Villas-Boas’ side and further-cemented his place in his manager’s first-team thinking with two goals and an assist at old club Bolton.

Firing the Blues into the lead within two minutes, Sturridge added another goal and assist to put his side into a 3-0 lead before the half-hour mark and is already his side’s top-scoring Fantasy forward, despite appearing in just three games. Chelsea are clearly clicking under Villas-Boas and look full of goals right now, with a 5-1 final score perhaps even kind on the home side, such was their total dominance. At 6.5, the fortnight’s break will surely see his bandwagon pick up pace ahead of a gameweek eight home clash with Everton.

The three o’clock kick-off at Craven Cottage saw Andy Johnson continue the form that has seen him grab six goals in nine appearances on the European stage. Johnson-starting his first league game since gameweek two- helped end QPR’s unbeaten run as Martin Jol’s side picked up their first league win of the campaign in emphatic fashion.

Echoing Sturridge’s early goal, Johnson netted within a couple of minutes but went one step further than the Chelsea player with a hat-trick and assist in the 6-0 rout, though with his game time definitely less guaranteed, it’s fair to say that Fantasy suitors may be deterred. At 5.1, however, he’s presented a strong case as Fantasy managers’ cut-price striker option, though with Moussa Dembele and Bryan Ruiz vying for a place alongside Bobby Zamora, Johnson has plenty competition- if he can force his way into Jol’s starting eleven on a more permanent basis, Johnson looks ripe for investment.

Zamora returned to action after being sidelined with illness last week and again proved pivotal for Jol’s side. His goal and two assists may well have been overshadowed by Johnson’s display but the 6.7 FPL forward continued to show that, when fit, he offers a consistency that is often overlooked- currently, he’s owned by just 3% of Fantasy managers. Zamora has now appeared in four games for Fulham this season and has either scored, assisted or picked up bonus in every game.

Today’s (pre-bonus) twelve point return means Zamora has scored in his third game in a row and has returned three goals, three assists and four bonus in those four games. The gameweek eight Britannia clash may dent that record but it’s clear he’s looking a real solid performer under the guidance of Jol and if he can stay match-fit, looks like a real value for money option as the season unfolds.

Really? Still not guaranteed a start, hasn't scored in 4 games, price is plummeting. It's fine to say that when you haven't got him, but when you have, it's 8.5m that could be better spent right now.

Brunt only has 2 assists and no BPs since first day of the season.
Petrov good and has nice fixtures, but Bolton look v poor.
Ramsey scored point in last three games and lovely fixtures coming.
Id hold Woodgate, but only play him in home fixtures. Stoke home form is good at the back

    Dzeko to Adebeyor

Have held them all for ages but my patience is running out. But Moses has good fixtures, Tabraat plays Blackburn home next before poor fixtures and Dzeko has villa next with Kun maybe out. Can't afford a single drop or rise in those three though!

Get Woodgate instead of shawx and upgrade Bannan.

      Other than that, pretty good.

Any reason to hold on to De Laet?
The Norwich defence have been OK since he was dropped.
I can't see him getting back in to the starting 11 in the next few GWs..

I have two free transfers and was thinking about SWP to Murphey and Ward to BAE/Enrique.
I would like to know which should I choose between BAE and Enrique?

Right guys,I’ve got two Free Transfers and I’m not sure who I should get OUT/IN ??????

    Vorm Ruddy
    Bosingwa Jones Taylor(SWA)Ward Simpson
    Silva Nani Sinclair SWP Ferguson
    Rooney Aguero Suarez
    0.6 in the bank

Was thinking of getting Ward/SWP out.
Top of my Mini-League by 35 pts so can take a few risks.

definitly get ward out. would suggest upgrading ferguson but im assuming you've already heard that and stil prefer to keep him. maybe keep swp and the extra transfer for the game against blackburn and then get rid after.

      nice team by the way!

I'm starting to regret that young to nani transfer this week.
Lost a transfer and don't really need him for next two fixtures, he should have scored yesterday!

    a) Nani, Moses, Shawcross
    b) Vdv, Fox, Kompany

Is it Roonster, Suarez and RVP too much invested in the strike force? I am always against that kind of forward line but the fixtures for Suarez and RVP are dictating that and simply there is not time to sell Rooney.

Still the team will have 2 big hitters in mid, the defense is not the greatest but its ok- ish. I will downgrade Suarez later perhaps.

Can we have little bit discussion on this cash distribution pls? Is it to expensive?

I think it's a good idea. Strikeforce has to be your priority. Would prefer Aguero over Suarez and RVP, though.

The only cheapie I'm strongly considering is Sturridge.

Yeah but Enrique, Kompany will surely be in the points, they need time. I am thinking maybe having one budget striker and redistribute the cash. Always, I repeat always in the past when I had that ultimate strike force I was doing badly in the rankings. Little bit discomfort. Hmm....

The balance of the team should still be top goal.

It's all about points, points, points. Over balance, value for money etc. Do whatever you think will harness the most points.

Get at least two heavyweights up front and work your way from there. Only two expensive defenders worth having are K and Bos IMO.

Wouldn't trust Warnock, Shawcross, Enrique week in week out so you may as well get rotating cheapies buffeted alongside K and Bos and bolster your MF.

That's where I'm going if we get info that aguero is out of villa game.
That front 3 means I can't get Kompany to my defence and they will propably get another cs against villa....who knows whats too much, time and games will tell.
