    mmm. Whether to keep faith with the Man Utd investments could be the biggest call of the season. Last season, Chelsea were on fire and I made the fatal decision to keep giving Drog, Malouda ''one more week'' People speak of a backlash, but I'm not convinced. This result has been coming a while and if you can't get motivated for the Manc derby then when can you?

    If I don't start investing in Silva, VDV soon I could be left in FPL limbo at the point of no return. I'm happy to be patient but the past few games suggest that even when the good fixtures come we won't necessarily see returns. Nani had quiet weeks last year but we accepted that. This year value for money is more important than ever. At least Suarez looked a bit dangerous, whilst Rooney was deep and absolutely terrible.

    Help appreciated as ever, chaps.

      They've had a pretty harsh few weeks of fixtures though. I'm worried as well and it is hard to go without Silva (VDV, less so imo - I heard spurs struggled for the most part today), but the guy im chasing has Silva and no Nani, so no point abandoning just yet.

      rooney's had plenty of deep uneventful games but ended up scoring. i've got nani and p.jones and it's not my priority to get either out. but i know what you mean about sitting on wasted money.

      i've got mata and adebayor and didn't swap to VDV and sturidge band look how that worked out for me this week

      I agree that Silva is a season long pick so if you have to pick VDV or Silva, I'd invest in Silva now, because he is just going to keep on rising.

      Suarez is a different kettle of fish altogether. He's going to be so frustrating to own occasionally chipping in big scores then next week missing a hat full of chances. Whether he is 'good value' or not is up for debate. I will keep him for the long term because your right he looked dangerous.

      You are right about one thing - that scoreline today had been coming. People will slate you saying it's easy to say it now, but Utd (& Rio inparticular) look a shambles at the back. It's all about value for money, and at the moment Utd and inparticular Nani & Young appear to offer none whatsoever.

    Trying to work out a way to get VDV in my team but struggling to work it out.

    Krul, Given
    R Taylor, Shawcross, Bosingwa, A Williams, Warnock
    Milner, Ramsey, Anderson, Sinclair, Murphy
    Rooney, Van Persie, Adebayor

    Have £1.5million in bank.

    I had planned to do Milner in for Arteta after this weekend, then typically he had a belter today so got excited and did the early transfer.

    Thinking there is no way to get VDV in, so just will have to rely on Adebayor to start banging them in and continue with the assists.

        3 points are 3 points.

        Lets face it, most people on here looked at our fixtures for GW's 9-11 and immediately said 'nil points' and had us pegged to be in the bottom 3 by the time we went to Stoke.

        That's unlikely to happen now, thanks to today.

        The result will give us a massive confidence boost going forward now as well. The 'home win' monkey is off our back.

        10th place after 9 games including Chelsea? Yeah, I'd have taken that at the start of the season.

    Hello everyone, im wanting to improve my defense and git rid of Arteta.

    Given (Vorm)
    Bosingwa, Enrique, Simpson, (DeLaet) (Gabbidon)
    Silva, VDV, Arteta, Sinclair, (Moses)
    RVP, Adebayor, Suarez

    Thinking of doing either:

    1) Arteta -> Walters
    DeLaet -> Kompany

    or:

    2) Arteta -> Ramsey
    DeLaet -> Shawcross

    Unsure whether i want to take a -4 point hit at all, i havnt taken one yet this season and it seems like a waste of points.

      So you'd have Bosingwa at home to Arsenal, Enrique at WBA, Simpson at Stoke, De Laet with 0 and Gabbidon home to Spurs...not optimistic for a clean sheet.

      Do no. 1.

    Anyone doing Rooney or Suarez to Balotelli?

    Anyone got a suggestion to switch Barton to?

    Cheers!

      keep the faith you know class players always come through. I know it will nearly eat up all your funds but I honestly reckon Ramsey is the man to have. he's playing very high up the pitch and he's on form, wales' results have really helped his confidence. I think we will beat Chelsea next week ..

    What's the feeling on likelihood of Ward's price dropping? I've already used FT's to bring in Kompany & VDV, so would be a 4pt hit to get rid of Ward for Shawx, whilst I can still afford it. Thoughts please?

      That lovely sum of cash is being saved for a rainy day. I'm going to be spending it on Sergio Aguero this week, assuming we don't get any info later to suggest he'll be rested. Also saving some for Rooney after the Everton game ... πŸ™‚

          Nope. Have Adebayor, so can't be getting VDV right now and there isn't anyone obvious i can sell him for either. Mata's gone for me anyway though

          How are your transfers shaping up for the coming week?

                I'm just trying not to panick! May do Gerrard to VDV but really wanted to delay that one until GW12. I just feel I have too many Pool and I've been swayed by my devotion.

                  You have 4vets, you have. I can understand the appeal of Gerrard though, in terms of Liverpool having a great set of fixtures, and Gerrard being the ultimate differential.

                  What i think you should do is keep Gerrard and Suarez for these next two games. Try to save a free transfer where you can, it helps soo much. Then sell Gerrard for VDV or Nani/Young.

                  Just gotta pray VDV doesn't keep this goalscoring form up. I'll be praying too

      he's looked really good and lively so far actually. The last Real Madrid reject i saw join the prem was VDV and he's not too shabby either! seems all these unwanted madrid players are pretty solid in the prem!
