Carlos Tevez could feature again for Man City- but only if he says sorry. Nemanja Vidic is looking to hit top form, Chelsea are forced to watch their weekend mauling again, while Barry Bannan’s club ban is lifted by Aston Villa:

Nemanja Vidic reckons he’s on his way back to his best after an eight-week absence at the start of the season. The Serbian has played back-to-back games for United over the last week, recording clean sheets against Aldershot and Everton, and spoke of the frustration of being sidelined:

I have never been out so long. I was desperate to be there but at least we did well, so I didn’t have that much pressure to come back and play. That helped me. Now I feel well. I don’t feel any pain, which is the most important thing. I can move on, try to reach my top form game by game and help the team reach our goals.

Arsene Wenger admits he is tempted to keep with the players that saw off Chelsea on Saturday for this evening’s Champions League game with Marseille. The Gunners boss is looking to continue the momentum that has seen his side win eight of their last nine matches:

I am tempted to do it. Sometimes if you take a team on a roll there is no need to change it. You can defend any decision but when a team is on a positive experience, why not? That is what I have to decide. I changed players away from home at Donetsk last season and got punished.

Abou Diaby has suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle problem. The midfielder has yet to play in the league this season and according to Arsene Wenger, will be out for another three weeks as he builds up his muscular strength.

Reports this morning suggest Roberto Mancini is considering allowing Carlos Tevez a return to the Man City first-team fold- but only if Tevez says sorry. Speaking to the Italian press, the Man City boss was quoted as saying:

Everything depends on Carlos. If he apologies to the squad and to me then everything will be as before. If he doesn’t then Tevez has a value that everyone knows and something will happen in January. He is totally unprepared and being badly advised. I don’t want it to be like this and I would be the first to forgive him.

Ahead of City’s trip to Villarreal, Mancini has revealed he feels Mario Balotelli is a key figure in the club’s Champions League campaign. The forward had been banned for the first three games after a red card in the Europa League last term and was the only forward Mancini rested for the home game against Wolves on Saturday.

QPR’ s Akos Buzsaky is set to undergo an operation after a cyst was found in his knee . The Hungarian has been plagued with the problem for some time and has not featured in the league since gameweek three. He will now go under the knife during the upcoming international break and expects to be out of action for a short period of time.

Branislav Ivanovic revealed the Chelsea players have been forced to sit through a re-run of Saturday’s horror show at home to Arsenal. The side have struggled to keep out opponents so far, with a single clean sheet after ten games and the Serbian is confident of a return to form ahead of the weekend trip to Blackburn:

We know how we made mistakes and how we plan to do things better. We have to be fully concentrated for the whole game and be strong for 90 minutes. In some moments, we lost some concentration. We weren’t fully concentrated and things happened that we didn’t want to happen, and that changed the game psychologically. This could be one of the most important things in our season after this game: a great reaction of the group would be good to show how we are strong.

Didier Drogba will undergo an arm operation during his three-match ban and is expected to be available when his suspension ends, with the game against Liverpool on November 20th earmarked for his return. Drogba will have screws removed from an arm after they were inserted in a previous operation.

Aston Villa today revealed they have lifted Barry Bannan’s suspension. The club had banned the player after recent off-field issues but Alex McLeish confirmed Bannan has returned to training and will be available for selection this weekend against Norwich.

Is Walcott worth considering instead of Ramsey? Replacing Stevie G so have plenty of cash to spread around. Just been comparing the stats of the two of them and they do such different things in the team its hard to know who is the better pick, Theo seems more likely to create something himself whereas Ramsey looks far more likely to create for RVP. Can't decide who I think is the better option.

He was an excellent source of fantasy points last year when fit. Hoping that goal at the weekend may spur him on for a few games. Likes to go in bursts of good form if I recall (well more than most players).

I think the key with Walcott is who Arsenal play against. He lacks the creativity and technique to make an impact against sides who sit deep and get men behind the ball (like Stoke) but he does have blistering pace and good finishing ability, so he thrives against defences he can get in behind that play high up the pitch (like Chelsea on Saturday and Croatia that night when he got a hattrick).

So as West Brom (like any Hodgson team) defend deep with two banks of four, I'd expect him to be less effective this weekend than he was against Chelsea (which is why I'd play Arshavin over him for that game if I were Wenger). That being said, you never can tell exactly what Theo's gonna do and he could decide to prove me wrong. One for the risk taker; Walcott's the more explosive option whereas Ramsey is more consistent and solid.

I love how its ok to call Bale a Monkey boy, but not ok to say Ba has big lips because he's black... You're being racist by giving them different treatment, you realise this right? If a man has big lips, he has big lips. Simple.

we were insanely lucky to not concede that freekick that hit the bar. I had him for his tiny point run earlier in the year, looks like if he does anything at all he gets bonus, I think he's very unlucky to not have bagged a single goal or assist yet. Would be an amazing differential.

    Chaps,

Any idea when we will get the Everton and Spurs DGW?

Also thinking of WCing to try and catch my mini-league leader who is 90-100 points ahead. Just can not seem to catch him. The thinking is try and load up with players with strong fixtures over the next six weeks, like ARS, MAN, TOT, STO, SUN.

Would be a bit like a KERS/DRS boost to try and overtake him!

Happy with my score of 67 this GW. At last I chose a decent Captain in VDV. How does this look for GW 11 guys.

    Given

Bosingwa / Enrique / Simpson (Kompany / Senderos)

    VDV / Silva / Ramsey / Moses

    Suarez / Rooney / BA

I was thinking of chopping in Rooney > RVP but, having no UTD coverage is probably going to sting me. Any thoughts chaps? Should I hold on to the transfer?

I actually think he's a pretty good player in reality, just hasn't produced any points yet.

playing basically upfront and at 4.7 i can understand why people are sticking with him. What do you expect for that money, he is a squad player surely?

I got rid a couple of weeks ago and replacement has been an underwhelming success to say the least. Bloodie Barry Bannan! I am actaullly thinking of bringing him back in. He will score 4-5 goals this season and get a few asists surely.

Managed to win my league for the month, but it could have been so much better!

Having not changed my team for 2 weeks I had 2 transfers burning a hole in my pocket. So on Saturday morning I shipped out Demba Ba & Juan Mata and got in Adebayor and Milner.

    Ba & Mata - 27 points

    Adebayor & Milner - 2 points

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Lesson learnt.

    My team for GW11. Comments?

    Ruddy (Vorm)
    Raylor Enrique Ward (Simpson Kompany)
    VDV Silva Nani Johnson (Ferg)
    Rooney Sturridge RVP

0 FTs, £1m in the bank

I've a plan in mind but interested to hear others thoughts - cheers.

Apart from Ferguson in your squad it looks half decent.

If you can save a transfer I would and have 2 after internationals have been played.

I hadn't considered international week (two tough games for those in play-offs) until I saw your earlier post - that's a great call. Problem is I planned to ship out Ward for Brown/Wilkinson otherwise tough fixtures for a defence including Enrique (che) and Ward (eve), plus a possible price drop for Ward...

In an ideal world I'd get rid of Nani for Mata, but am waiting on this one. Overall postion is 369K; I had a shocking time early season and missed the Rooney/Aguero windfalls through some knee-jerks. I've learnt some patience as the season goes on, but still 60 pts off our mini-league leader who keeps matching me point for point!

youll have to watch his team and try for some logical differentials from him...you have rooney so nani prob not needed as well....the other one is johnson who is missing some games and taken off early etc

I hate asking for advice, but what would you do with this team?

    Vorn (Ruddy)
    STaylor, RTaylor, Enrique (Kompany, Shorey)
    Silva, VDV, Ramsay, Cabaye (Sinclair)
    Rooney, RVP, Best

I have too many Swansea and Newcastle players, and have Shorey as deadwood

I can put the above team out and hope for a 0-0 for Pool v Swansea

Can you see an obvious transfer or save it for after the int. break?

So what are people's thoughts on Evans/Jones?

As things stand I'm saving the transfer but Bosingwa > Evans looks so tempting, but surely United will go back with Vidic/Ferdinand pairing and Smalling or Jones RB soon?

I would look to downgrade Gerrard so you can upgrade Balotelli to Aguero or Rooney next week, I would also be tempted to transfer out Bos for a City defender maybe down the line

Considering various fantasy football related variables (Form, fixtures and possible impending DGWs) who would you rather splash your defensive cash over?
    A) Evra
    B) Baines
    C) Jones
    D) Jones + Baines (take a 4 pt hit)

    Kompany / Enrique / Terry
    Pilkington / Dempsey / Silva(VC) / VdV(C)

      KOmpany > Richards maybe

Kompany is suspended. Richards is a greater threat + he's more or less or regular

Ok, I am a regular reader of these comment pages, but have never posted before. Any comments on my team would be greatly appreciated (nb have already played wild card earlier in the season to increase squad value).

    Vorn (Ruddy)
Simpson, Enrique, Bosingwa (Barnett, Neil Taylor)
    Silva, VDV, Mata, Tiote (Moses)
    Balotelli, Adebayor, RVP.

NB am thinking of putting Hernandez in for Balo in light of Man U's favourable fixtures and Balo's rotation concerns. Comments on this would be particularly appreicated.

    Cheers.
