Just like the Dutch duo of Van der Vaart and Van Persie, Mark and I keep on delivering, week in week out. With over 60 episodes under our belts, we’ve almost got the hang of it, the banter now nearing the levels of Compo, Foggy and Clegg. Another 300 episodes should crack it.

Like our Sunday night sitcom anti heroes, we once again we deliver the regular formula. A mini-league round-up, a miffed from me, the “all aboard” sift through the bandwagons all leading into our weekend preview. Then we both roll down a hill in a bath tub.

It’s all here. Apart from the last bit about the bath tub.

This weeks picks with looking at getting baines next week with a couple of tweeks.

506 pts so far after dropping 20 pts in total 😐 does it look ok? oh and a wildcard :S

    Ruddy (vorm)

Lescott, Enroque, Bosingwa, Jones, (de laet)

    VDV, Ramsey, Pilkington, (Drenthe) (ferguson)

    RVP, Agureo, Hernandez.

if u are wildcarding then i would say drop bosingwa, ferguson and de leat...may be u have a plan to improve ur GK too...and abt baines i would say its risky...go for hibbert/jagielka for everton defence.

thought of howard/vorm rotation?? it looks perfect from gamweek 12.

The Howard,Vorm sounds a good call, I've had Vorm and Ruddy from week 1 due to the bank of fantasy footy letting me know that my first weeks picks were 21m over 😐 and the picks hardly differed from last season, to be fair Vorms done better than i could have wished for considering but yep, it could be time for Ruddy to move on, I'll see what this weekend brings, hopefully another santa deliverly of RVP goals ag

Looks like I'm going into GW with this bunch:

    Hennessey
    Naylor, Saylor, Jenny
    B Johnson, Silva, VdV, Sinclair
    Rooney, RVP (c), Sturridge

    Vorm, Taarabt, McAuley, Kompany

    £0.4m in bank.

Can't really see any transfers this week I want to do without taking a 4 pt hit. Think I should leave as is and save 2 frees for Intn'l break. Yay or nay?

      Jenny?!

I am in a similar situation...see below and I think you are prob right to hold on. Rooney would worry me a little....but that might just be me making myself feel better not having him!

Sinclair is a funny one..he doesnt seem to do anything other than pens...and hes been lucky enough that that has scored him fairly well, the petrov/taarabt types have not been so lucky....so goes footy!

Solid enough team, good options then open over the break, its always fun to have 2 changes over 2 weeks!

    - Rooney + Ba vs. Hernandez + Ade
(Risks: Rooney could play midfield, Ba fixtues bad, Chicha could be rotated)

    - Jonny Evans? Certain starter?

    Silva, VDV, Eagles, Murphy (Sinclair)
    Rooney, RVP, sturridge

It would totally help if i posted this on the latest article:

Can I get a little advice people? I’m in a pretty good position, but i think i need changes and i’m not sure what the best to do and when. Team link in user name, i have 2FT and 0.9 in the bank.

Current thinking; Anderson–>Ramsey, now my problem areas are Nasri, Moses, and my keepers, then to some extent Rooney and Sturridge too.

    Some considerations of mine:
    Rooney–>Hernadez (frees up some cash)
Nasri–>Drenthe (frees up lots of cash)
Vorm/Krul–>De Gea (not possible without one of the above, given Anderson–>Ramsey)

I’m a little stuck, maybe that means i should save my transfer. What do you guys think? What would you do? Comments much appreciated.

Nasri to perhaps larrson? very consistent, good with free kicks and favourable fixtures. Rooney to hernandez seems a good differential especially with rooney in a midfield role at the minute. Then with spare cash move sturridge to aguero if you can. That'd be what i'd do, worth the 4pt hit i reckon

kompany to jones is good if u cant field 3 other defenders, if u can then you're relying on jones to get a cleanie just to break even. plus man city r more likely to keep a cleanie next gameweek than utd

You clearly don't know what your talking about and you are a bit out of touch. Petrov is on the verge of being dropped at Bolton, he does not track back and is a massive defensive liability. Ramsey by contrast gets further forward and is a certain starter this season, he also doesn't get taken off after an hour unlike Petrov

Its worth a hit if your about to be priced out by the move due to rise and falls. Think Yesot and link your team before you claim to have a superior history and knowledge not that I really tried in the past

having 2 freebies would mean he isnt priced out by the move as he could easily downgrade another player without the hit. also as its an international break itd be worth having the 2 free transfers

basically you think ramsey will outscore petrov by 4+ points and i dont

You know hits can have an affect beyond 1 GW, it's a great myth to assume it must be made up for in the forthcoming GW. Building the right team is surely important. I hate taking hits myself but I did a good one a few weeks back which I could have held off a week. It involved getting a certain RVP in, it worked a treat over the past month.

                    of course i know that

what im saying is taking a hit this week isnt worthwhile as they both have nice fixtures so he can make the transfer next week for free and wont be relying on ramsey to outscore petrov by 4 this week

i dont think i can explain that in any simpler way

It's not just about what they've done though it's about what you think they will do. I have no stats to back my arguement but think that Ramsey will easily outscore Petrov in the coming weeks.

This is the start of a good run of fixtures for arsenal. Getting Ramsey in now is a great idea. He'll likely be over 7 million in a couple of weeks.

he may well do over the coming weeks im not disputing that as may be shifting petrov next week depending how he does against stoke

what im saying is with him doing well up until 2 weeks ago and having a favourable fixture its surely worth hanging on for this weekend especially if it involves him taking a hit to make the move

You can say Ramsey only scored 2 last week, but it is extremely unfair when you do that and then talk about Petrov's previous perfomances with no mentoion of Ramseys.
He had 6 assists/goals in his last 5 in all comps before last week

Love how totally diff those views are...boring when everyone agrees, the game isnt that predictable!

Like Ramsey but dont see the point of taking a hit to take Petrov out when he is at home in a fairly decent game....

Def change depends on rest of team as Yesot says....

Why would you want to take a hit for a defender?

Can you not afford to bench Kompany this week and just get in Ramsey for Petrov - although Boltom surely have to deliver this week or goodbye to Mr. Coyle.

It's interesting you have Johnson in your team, he is a major rotation risk but you might have him at a good time, I can see him starting for City this weekend. Rest of your team is solid although you don't have Silver which may be a problem as he is the only guaranteed starting midfield for City. Anderson will be ok he could get a goal/assist I don't think you need to worry about him and ShawX will start I reckon as well. Good team

Its good but 3 Spurs attacking players is excessive, especially as it comes at the expense of no Chelsea or Man Utd attackers.

Vdv is really all you need. I'd be looking to downgrade Bale and upgrade Adebayor, or vice versa, during the upcoming break.

Anyone else with the Vorm/Kenny goalkeeper combo? It's a nightmare - Vorm at Anfield and Kenny against Man City.
Kenny might get some save points but he also might be picking the ball out of the net several times. Hopefully Suarez will continue to fire blanks.

If I bought VDV and RVP at 9.9 and 11.9 respectively, why are their selling prices only 10.1 and 12.1. Surely now they are up to 10.4 and 12.4 they should be higher?

        CAAAAAPS LOCK!

        He's £4.4M for a reason. Don't bother.

He's on loan for the season has come off the bench a couple of times and scored. Doubt if he's a starter. Best wait and see before investment

Planning on using my frees to do

    Brown to Wilkinson
    Barton to Ramsey

Look like good moves? Do want to get VDV but don't want to lose Silva or Nani to do it.

Morning guys, am on my wildcard and i can this evening to be a stressful one. Which of the following options you guys think is best (considering fixtures and form)

    Option 1
    Vorm/Ruddy
    Kompany, Jones, Evans, Enrique, Simpson
    Silva, VDV, Walters, Sessignon, Drenthe
    RVP, Aguero, Graham

    Option 2
    Vorm/Ruddy
    Kompany, Jones, Evans, Enrique, Simpson
Silva, VDV, Ramiers, Sessignon or Walters, Johnson
RVP, Aguero, Graham (could upgrade but can think of other striker <6.2mm)

    Option 3
    Vorm/Ruddy
    Kompany, Jones, Wilko, Enrique, Simpson
    Silva, VDV, Mata, Johnson, Allen
    RVP, Aguero, Graham

My initial idea was to move away from my current 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 formation to 3-5-2 formation

Players shipped out (or being considered to ship out) are SWP, Moses, Petrov, Johnson, Torres, Rooney, Bossingwa, Shawcross

Your thoughts will be much appreciated

Its going to be a long long Friday for me
