Just like the Dutch duo of Van der Vaart and Van Persie, Mark and I keep on delivering, week in week out. With over 60 episodes under our belts, we’ve almost got the hang of it, the banter now nearing the levels of Compo, Foggy and Clegg. Another 300 episodes should crack it.

Like our Sunday night sitcom anti heroes, we once again we deliver the regular formula. A mini-league round-up, a miffed from me, the “all aboard” sift through the bandwagons all leading into our weekend preview. Then we both roll down a hill in a bath tub.

      Was thinking about Rooney -> Aguero, but Man city has though fixtures coming up. And there is allways the rotation question. At least Rooney will play and Man utd have nice fixtures. I think I will keep.

        Normally I play Company / ShawX / S.Taylor with two subs, just this week does not work well. Although, NEW could get a clean sheet with Everton, I count on that.

        Might bring J.Enrique later, instead of S.Taylor.

    just wondering if anyone knows what happens in terms of value if a player drops then goes back up. for example if a player dropped from 6.0 to 5.9, then went back up to 6.0, if you had kept him the whole time could you still sell him for 6? or would you then have to wait until he was 6.1 until you could get back your original investment?

    Sorry, rookie question that probably makes no sense to anyone.

      He would only need to go back to the value you bought him at for you to get that value when you sell, it's only rises from your original purchase price that are subject to the 50% tax.

      Your player would return back to his original value of 6.0 I believe. The 50% tax rule is for the profits made on a player with regards to his original purchase price.

          Normally I'd say a 50/50 starter is too risky to play over a sure thing, but AJ seems to pull the points almost regardless of how long he's on for.

          I'd actually lean towards AJ, purely given the opposition - much rather QPR than Liverpool.

            Put it this way: Sinclair averages 2.6ppg away, Johnson averages 4.0ppg away.

            Admittedly, 10 of AJ's points came in one game, but that's till double the best Sinclair has scored away.

      I understand what your saying but I watched the Tot V QPR game and I swear had I have had Ade in my team I would have jumped through my window... he could have had a bag... at least Dzeko somehow gets them in, even if they just miracilously bounce off his knee....

        Haha can't argue with that logic!

        I've had Adebayor since GW6 and until a fortnight ago he'd scored 4, 6 and 8 for me while looking a threat to score himself. So I guess I have a bit more patience with him than those that only recently put him in and got nothing out of it.

    or

    Sturridge + Suarez -> Ranger (wont get picked) + RVP (8 point hit)

    or

    Keep Rooney, Sturridge and Suarez(c) and hope RVP doesnt bring the pain

      i dont think i'd lose rooney for a hit this week.
      You're front line looks ok to me.
      Then maybe look into doing Rooney -> RvP next week, or even upgrade Suarez as Liv's fixtures stiffen?

      I don't like either, tbh.

      Many have, but I don't like the idea of taking out Rooney before Sunderland at home and Suarez out before Swansea at home isn't a great idea to me either. Plus you'll have a player, Ranger, who doesn't play. Like Ferguson, but maybe even worse as the the striker spots seem so precious this season.

    Which tactics is better:

    A) 3-5-2 (middle: two big guns, three 6-7 M; attack: two big guns)
    B) 3-4-3 (middle: two big guns, two 6-7 M; attack: two big guns, one cheaper)

    Which tactics do you play most often?
    I played 3-4-3, but now really do not know whom to put forward, so 3-5-2 sounds better.

    I hope no one plays 4 man in defense.

        I have it now 3-4-3:
        VDV - Silva - Walter - Nani (Dyer)
        RvP - Agbon - Sturidge

        But am tempted to have three scoring mids with VDV and Silva (Sess, Drenthe,Walters) and to play 3-5-2.

        The question is just if more points come from a 6-7 M midfielder or 6-7 M forward (Sturidge, Bendtner, etc.). At the start huge points arrived from the forwards, not that changed.

      Generally play 3-4-3, I figure I've paid more for my strikers (RVP, Aguero, Adebayor) so might as well play them ahead of a cheaper midfielder/defender.

      Thinking I had to play 4 defenders in one round when a forward was injured, but not my preference!

      So the consensus is to invest in the attack, 3-4-3 possible.

      Don't you have the feeling tha now more points come from the midfielders?

      Basically RvP is the only certain option for attack, Ade, Suarez, Aguero, Sturidge.... they are not scoring.

      Suarez just cant finish, I had him as Captain in the home game to Norwich and he let me down bad... thought that he had to surely kick a bag...

    Bit of advice wanted for this week.
    Having put the kiss of death of Gerrard I need a replacement midfielder.
    Don't want to get Silva as everyone in my league has him (explaining my position)
    Have VDV, Arteta, Petrov, Dyer

    Was considering Adam or Mata (cant afford Lamps)

    Any thoughts

        Yes Brown has been many times in my team during this week. I think Evans is better option for me because I already have Westwood (Sunderland's gk) and I see a lot of value 4.5m ManU defender.

        Hennessey rotate so good with Westwood. Caulker is back in open eleven in two weeks and I don't need him before that. Adam Johnson only for this week because he is likely to start. United has amazing fixtures and I didn't have funds for Hernandez. I think Welbeck will play a lot because Rooney playing midfield.

    Morning guys. Need to sort my team out for this week – some help would be much appreciated.

    I’m happy with my strikeforce but Petrov needs to go and I’ve got Senderos not playing / Kompany suspended and difficult fixtures after Newcastle game / Brown facing Man Utd this week:
