Another long wait, filled with false hopes (Victory over Spain?) and overdue results (Ireland qualifying for the Euro’s) is now, at last, all but a distant memory for our budding crop of Fantasy Managers. The Saturday Surgery is open and the next gameweek of action is but a moment away…

We’ve spent the last two weeks giving you all sorts to stew on in anticipation – our Members especially have enjoyed a bumper array of articles to feast upon. Those players moving up in the world of The Watchlist have also had plenty of coverage of late.

If that wasn’t enough to get you on your way then the Scout Committee’s Picks are looking to shine with The Differentials offering an alternative route to some mini-league winning action.

We’ve also got our own Scout Cup on the boil if you’re that way inclined. Who doesn’t love a good cup?

We’ve got an hour to go. Let’s settle in with a morning coffee in the Saturday Surgery and try and make all our teams that little something special.

Andy Leicester won the Premier League. Leicester. Premier League. What is this life? Follow them on Twitter

Well, both have the fixtures on their side, and nani is prone to rotation as well, so if you're doing it to get in some other big hitter like VDV it could work

      *City strikers.

You want any of 3, but know full well that they are going to miss 1/2 in 3 games. I've offset with Silva for a while now and have been squirrelling cash for Aguero/Rooney one day, but at the moment, I just can't bring myself to do it.

With a champion league game with a league leader on Tuesday, I think it's reasonable for me to hope Evans will get start ahead of Rio tonight.. I will keep playing him and save FT for next week.

VDV and Nani are doubtful for me.. If Young is fit, Nani could get a rest for European game. 😕

    Tierney-->>Shawcross/Walker
Fergie can wait till next week.
    Leaving me with....

    Vorm | Ruddy
    P.Jones | Enrique | ShawX/Walker | Simpson | N.Taylor
    VDV | Silva | Sinclair/Sess | Drenthe | Ferguson
    Rooney | RVP(C) | Sturridge

Because RVP and Bendy are both better picks this week.

If Rooney was a 7.5m midfielder he'd be nailed on.
As it is, he's an OOP forward who costs a fortune playing away against a team who are tight as Fergie's old man at the back.

Play Westwood over Foster this week. (If it's a transfer then I'd need to know your other GK)
VDV vs Bale is a toss up as to who will score more. VDV more likely (if he starts).

    Morning all

Doing some last minute tinkering and would love some advice on what team to put out.

Defence is a bit suspect so not many choices there but here's what I was thinking:

    Al Habsi (vorm)

Enrique Shawx Richard (taylor- swansea) (simpson)

    Silva Ramsey Milner VDV (walters)

    Ade, VP (C), Bendtner

    Questions:
Al Habsi vs Vorm (Habsi at home vs blackburn)
Milner vs Walters (both at home, chance that Milner does not play and Walters is first sub) or should I sub Milner??

    Cheers

I'd probably play Walters over Milner, but I'd look to be downgrading one of them as you'll have this dilemma every week with that front 8.

      Killitzer, looks good.
I'd play Al Habsi as he's a decent keeper, though Worm suprised everyone at Anfield (but being a liverpool supporter learned to expect that). I think United will get a few today.

Milner will play some part, probably most of match with Nasri injury doubt, though Adam Johnson is a threat to himself and Silva. The Champions league match is a priority, but newcastle will be no push over either, and wouldn't be suprised with a draw. I have 4 of your 5 midfielders (difference is M. Petrov to your Walters), and i'm considering selling Milner and M.Petrov for Bale and Drente, as there is the rotation risk. Walters is a safer option to play, but we all saw that QPR did to city a few weeks back, so Stoke won't have it too easy. If not making transfers, start Milner.

      And best of luck today

When Arsenal score RVP almost always has something to do with it.

Will Arsenal score today? - DEFINITELY

RVP as captain is a formality......

I agree. I've been looking at other options all week but RVP is the logical choice.

Arsenal - one win in their last ten Premier away days.
RVP - a 67% slice of the Captaincy Poll.

Something doesn't quite add up there.

Mark my words, the top points scorer this week will be wearing a light blue shirt. Now who to captain? Aguero, Dzeko or Silva?

      Toon won't be a walkover though. 2-0 I reckon.

I read an article in the Racing Post the other day which basically suggested Newcastle are where they are by total default and a massive correction is looming. This may very well occur today.

        I'm plumping for Aguero.

They're playing Norwich who haven't kept a clean sheet all season. They scored 5 goals away against Chelsea.

Arsenal might not have won loads but RvP scored in virtually all of those games. Currently he is as close to fixture-proof as you can get...

And that's the problem. Any one of 5 city players could rattle in mega points but not them all. If Arsenal play well and get a couple of goals then RVP will score big and get either 2 or 3 bonus as well.

Talk of rest, rotation and jetlag has been rife this week; just when we get a side that looks capable of destroying our mini leagueTalk of rest, rotation and jetlag has been rife this week; just when we get a side that looks capable of destroying our mini league rivals, along comes an International break and Champions League fixtures to mess with our heads”

    Give over!
There are no injuries. And I mean none after a whole double whammy of international games.
    Not even RVP!
