With gameweek 12 now complete, it’s time to round up all the miscreants and take stock of the ramifications their offences will bring. We’ve already spoken of the 22 Saturday yellows in our previous review and after the addition of the Sunday and Monday games, that yellow card count ticked up to 29.

However, there were no further names joining Wigan’s Antolin Alcaraz, and the Saturday additions, Joey Barton, David Dunn, Stephen Hunt and Jamie O’Hara on the ban list for gameweek 13 (extending to GW14 in the case of the Wigan man).

Meanwhile, the population of the Suspension Tightrope was boosted tonight by a fourth yellow card for Villa’s reborn Bulgarian, Stiliyan Petrov. There are now up to 11 nervous souls on the tightrope, with Saturday’s new faces: Ryan Shawcross and Lee Cattermole, already making themselves uncomfortable on the high wire.

The final mention in the shake-up from gameweek 12 must go to the card happy pair of Steven N’Zonzi and Lucas Leiva. The Blackburn and Liverpool enforcers both picked up further yellows over the weekend. N’Zonzi’s in the bizarre 3-3 draw at Wigan, making that six in just 12 league appearances, with Lucas’ yellow in the win against Chelsea, his sixth in 13 games across league and cup this season. The pair now forge ahead together in the lead of the card ‘race’, with a two-match ban; the prize if either (or both) of them makes it to 10 before the distant April 8 deadline.

Gameweek 13 Bans

  • Antolin Alcaraz (Wigan) – FA Charge
  • Joey Barton (QPR) – 5 Yellows
  • David Dunn (Blackburn) – 1 Red for 2 bookings
  • Stephen Hunt (Wolves) – 5 Yellows
  • Jamie O’Hara (Wolves) – 5 Yellows

Gameweek 13 Tightrope

  • Gabby Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
  • Stiliyan Petrov (Aston Villa)
  • Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
  • John Terry (Chelsea)
  • Brede Hangeland (Fulham)
  • Steve Sidwell (Fulham)
  • Gareth Barry (Man City)
  • Ryan Shawcross (Stoke)
  • Glenn Whelan (Stoke)
  • Lee Cattermole (Sunderland)
  • Richard Stearman (Wolves)

Anyone having a go at predicting tonight's bonus points? I reckon it's:

    3 Adebayor
    2 Bale
    1 Modric

But I think Ade's poor second half might he see Bale run really close to him or get the higher PPI

Let's try to draw some strings together on the Rooney discussion.

The fact is he is playing much deeper in a new role. His early season points success is not comparable to the current situation. Will he score as many goals in his new position.

Hernandez has secured 24 points from the last 4 games - Rooney only 10 points.

But, here's the kicker, Rooney's value has dropped by £0.5m in 5 weeks and this will continue. Ask yourself, do you want to hold Rooney when others are ascending - reality bites right.....

Shite, TotalFPL has him set for a fall soon, I didn't realise just how many transfers out he's had since the last fall. Shouldn't have got him in using an early transfer! Although Torres is leaking value too, so it doesn't really matter all that much.

Rooney -> RVP is probably the most likely, but will cost 0.7M.
Rooney -> Adebayor, Aguero, Hernandez may also happen but is really a kneejerk and classic points chasing.

He will fall 0.1M, then rise 0.2M, fall another 0.3M etc, etc...

After his court trouble I don't think Brown and Turner have anything to fear for the time being. Certainly not when they're keeping clean sheets (alright, just the one).

I like that move too. Davide Santon (Italy U21 and ex-Inter Milan) at 4.3m is one to watch if Pardew decides to freshen things up. They've hardly rotated and Raylor isn't the surest option at the back during Newcastle's trickier fixtures.

    Suarez & Hutton. I'm thinking.

    1. Suarez -> Hernandez
    2. Hutton -> BAE/Brown
    3. Both (4pts)

    Alternatively, theres

    4. Suarez -> someones cheaper
which allows a Hutton upgrade. (Jones?)

    Thought appreciated folks 😀

Downgrade Suarez to any of the following:

      Sturridge, Adebarndoor, Bendy, Balo

I personally ditched Suarez for Graham about 4 GWs ago to fund VDV and have no regrets. I would only consider Hernandez in for Suarez should you have no Man U cover

I don't have Man U cover. Not harmed me so far. Thinking Suarez -> Sturridge and Mata -> Young may be the way forward. Just got too many transfers I need to do at the moment. Huttons just so annoying though. What a waste of money.

So far, yes, but Evra has been so poor for a while now, and Fabio impressed much more so than him when he came on for him against Swansea. It's a massive gamble, but even if he doesn't become first choice, he could still be a decent bet for some starts over Christmas.

He's only 4.3 anyway, he can just become my new De Laet if worse comes to worst.

Looking at mids in the 6.9 or less range. Who is the best canidate for the next month?

    Larson
    Drenthe
    Walters
    Sinclair
    Sessengon

It's cause i have him already. If not would go with Dzeko, or for cheap Klasnic.

I'd go Ade for the long haul and short term pick now. Fixtures are great, and he's first name on the team sheet atm. Dzeko and Bala are too big a rotation risk for my liking.

Get in there quick though. His price will rise after today's result.

Fantasy is all about control of the knee muscle. Number one, having the strength to resist its spasms, but just as important - knowing when to flex the sh*t out of that bad boy.

True story. I've never seen so much Helguson love in my life, it's knee jerk central on him. He could easily go the next 10 games without returning anything
