With gameweek 12 now complete, it’s time to round up all the miscreants and take stock of the ramifications their offences will bring. We’ve already spoken of the 22 Saturday yellows in our previous review and after the addition of the Sunday and Monday games, that yellow card count ticked up to 29.

However, there were no further names joining Wigan’s Antolin Alcaraz, and the Saturday additions, Joey Barton, David Dunn, Stephen Hunt and Jamie O’Hara on the ban list for gameweek 13 (extending to GW14 in the case of the Wigan man).

Meanwhile, the population of the Suspension Tightrope was boosted tonight by a fourth yellow card for Villa’s reborn Bulgarian, Stiliyan Petrov. There are now up to 11 nervous souls on the tightrope, with Saturday’s new faces: Ryan Shawcross and Lee Cattermole, already making themselves uncomfortable on the high wire.

The final mention in the shake-up from gameweek 12 must go to the card happy pair of Steven N’Zonzi and Lucas Leiva. The Blackburn and Liverpool enforcers both picked up further yellows over the weekend. N’Zonzi’s in the bizarre 3-3 draw at Wigan, making that six in just 12 league appearances, with Lucas’ yellow in the win against Chelsea, his sixth in 13 games across league and cup this season. The pair now forge ahead together in the lead of the card ‘race’, with a two-match ban; the prize if either (or both) of them makes it to 10 before the distant April 8 deadline.

      I'm going to bring him in for Moses this week. Played 90 minutes of every game until he got injured so guaranteed to get at least 2 (unless he gets one of his many yellows which is a downside to be fair), but has the potential to get the odd assist and bonus.

    Just did Suarez to Ade! Couldn't trust myself I'd do it later, cause every gameweek, for some time now, I had the ideea of getting rid of Suarez, but always ended up somehow keeping him. Feeling so at ease now and hoping for the best on saturday 🙂

    So, the Spurs 'trinity'... Worth getting all 3 or not? Played 5 across the middle this weekend and after BP's are added it's all but assured that Bale will have outscored all of them!

    Have my heart set on dumping Ramsey this GW. One Welshman for another? Looking at the RB's coming up on the Spurs schedule I believe they may need fire retardant kits to avoid getting burnt!

      Getting Walker in this week means I won't be reshuffling to get all 3 in but it could work out nicely. Not really anyone else likely to be involved in the majority of the points.

      I may have 3 Spurs players soon though, but it will be Walker, VDV and Ade.

      I posted this last night-Thought it may be helpful to re-post this-For those who are contemplating getting the Spurs ‘trinity’:

      In the last 9 PL games Spurs have scored 22 goals(no less than 2 in any game and averaging nearly 2.5 per game). These 3 have scored 15 of the goals and had 8 assists.Over the last 8 games(VDV missed the Wolves game) they have scored an average of 21.5 points between them per game. I think this is a good bet and doesn’t seem to run the rotation risk eg City.

    As much as I'd love to see people waste a transfer on VDV to Bale consider this. Since their first biggish scores of the season (GW6 - 10 points each) their scores up to and including GW12 are

    VDV - 58

    Bale - 52

    VDV is also on corners, free kicks and penalties.

    If you've got a really good use for the cash then go for Bale but I doubt that it's an urgent transfer for most peoples teams.

      The way I see it is Bale has gone through 7/11 games without scoring/assisting, VDV has gone through 3/10.
      Much better consistency and less annoying 2 pointers.
