Today’s big news was, of course, confirmation that Nemanja Vidic is ruled out for the season with a knee injury. The injuries rack up for David Moyes, with Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman both absent for the trip to Arsenal with hamstring strains.

Steve Kean will give late fitness tests to Ruben Rochina and Martin Olsson, Nigel Reo Coker is a big doubt for Bolton and Alan Pardew is considering handing French teenager Mehdi Abeid a first-team start in central midfield as injury-ravaged Newcastle make their way to Norwich, with the Magpies boss still crossing his fingers over Fabricio Coloccini.

Micah Richards remain a doubt for Man City due to a calf problem, with Pablo Zabaleta expected to fill in at right-back in the event of his absence as the leaders travel to Chelsea.

All the gameweek’s latest reports, injuries and bans, as well as predicted lineups, are continuously updated on our Team News page. As ever, our Twitter feed provides breaking links, direct from the source.

Hey fellas, not too bothered about the Bale news as I have a world class first sub 😉

    Vorm
    Baines Jones Simpson
    VDV Walters Bale Yaya
    RVP(c) Long Adebayor

    Henn Hoolahan Naylor Tierney

Everything set? Not sure why I'm asking because last week people convinced me to play Vorm 😛

hahaha you don't need to change your mind, but just something to ponder about:

            1) fulham have scored 4 goals in 7 games on the road.
            2) newcastle's defence looks shaken after the loss of saylor & colo. morrisson is in hot form.

Plenty of this on the last page. He's facing a fitness test, it's by no means certain that he's out, but there's a chance Harry could use this as an opporunity to start Pienaar and perhaps bring Bale on if needed.

      "If Drenthe was starting"

But that's the key point isn't it? We don't know if he will or not. Its back to the Rumsfeldian 'known knowns' for me. I'm playing Baines and benching Drenthe.

Because Ba has tasty fixtures and has shown he can score points against anyone, but the Yaki s 1.3 cheaper.

Consistency. Ba scoring regularly now and based on last years form will keep that going. Yakubu prob won't score more than 1 in 4 games for the rest of the season.

    Ok repost from previous page

    Quick RMT folks

    Vorm

    Raylor Jones McAuley

    Brunt VdV Bale Silva

    Ba RvP Yakubu

    Subs: Westwood BAE Brown Tiote

Shoudl I play BAE over Raylor and rely on Raylor if Bale doesn't make it or rely on BAE if no Bale. I just wonder if BAE becomes more of a threat without Bale in front of him.

Allen is suspended and is thus a guaranteed 0 points, but you can get away with him on bench. Not sure on your keepers this week, don't see cleanies for either. If you can afford to get Vorm or Schawzer in. If not maybe a cheeky punt on Lindegaard.

I held VDV for the last two weeks, finally transfer him out for Bale yesterday to catch the price rise, and now Bale won't play. This fantasy season sucks. I've had it. Last year I finished in top thousand, this year I had 10 green arrows in a row and couldn't crack the top 100K. Every move I make is wrong.

Same; devastating. This after the Sturridge -> Bendtner debacle three weeks ago for me. Now he's a doubt as well. Just hope it pays off in the next few gameweeks if not in this one, VDV still a rotation risk/gets subbed a lot.

For those who don't yet own him, what are your thoughts on Enrique for this GW?

I'm considering Kompany > Enrique and then bringing Enrique into my team dropping Simpson to the bench: Jones Enrique Brown.

It's because Bale is a doubt so wanting a decent first sub, other than Drenthe, Kompany, Ward - Liverpool's games do look good for quite a while with only the City game a difficult fixture, so it wouldn't be just for this GW it should last me until Winter WC time.

The other side of the coin however is, will Liverpool be likely to keep many CS with Lucas out.

    Vorm (Given)
Simpson, Kompany, Jose Enrique (Turner, Shawcross)
    Brunt, Silva, VDV, Ramsey (Sinclair)
    Sturridge, RVP, Adebayor

I would like to go take out
