Didn't see the game so is Rooney back and must have for their good run? Would require big shift round to get him in over two weeks.

I think "must-have" is a bit stronger word, I'd say "good punt" considering his price tag.

Personally I've gone for Nani as Utd coverage. He has the added bonus of being easily swappable for someone else of a similar value (Mata/VDV) so doesn't involve a team reshuffle.

    ARS - Wol(H), Qpr(H)

    TOT - Nor(A), Swa(A)

Young is terrible just now and Ramires/Yaya play alot without getting alot of points so you can count those 3 out. 3 or 4 from Mata Bale Nani VDV & Walcott should do the trick.

I'd start with a strikeforce of RVP, Rooney and Suarez/Adebayor.

Then Mata, Walcott, Silva/Yaya in midfield. I think...

Have got myself into a blind alley on transfers for next week and the coming weeks

Team is in link, but to save you looking its:

    Vorm / Krul
    Jones / Verm / Enrique / Wilkinson / Simpson
    Nani / Silva / Bale / Walters / Dyer
    RVP / Ade / Ba

Had been toying with the idea of getting Baines in, but EVE form is so dogmuck right now that I dunno whether it's worth it, esp as I'd probbaly wanna give him the (C). However: depending on tonight's game I'd like to get a hold of Mata before he becomes too pricey with everyone getting him in for their xmas fixtures -. the question is for who?

Sure, I'm jumping the gun a bit, but is anyone wondering at one point they should drop Silva? Or am I being a heretic?

    So -

    A) Verm & Walters to Mata & Jags
    B) Verm & Silva to Baines & Mata
    C) Summats else

Very similar side to mine. Only difference i have Yak/Ruddy/Walker instead of Ba/Krul/Jones. Fair play your team is at some price at the minute.
Not sure if you should move Verm out, he has one tough fixture against Man City and then a good run..

To be honest there isn't much you need to do to your team at the minute. Maybe upgrade Wilikinson to Jags.

These are the more budget priced keepers that have perfect rotation with Vorm at least till the next wildcard. Just home fixtures shown. Actual prices are about a week old so may have changd.

Vorm Cerny 4m perfect rotation all season, MANU at home next but good home fixtures to follow SUN-NOR-WIG - WOL
Vorm Hennesy 4.5m STO –NOR- CHE- LIV
Vorm Howard 5.5m NOR- SWA -BOL/tot dgw -BLA
Vorm Friedel 5.5m SUN- CHE- WBA/BOL dgw -WOL WIG
Vorm Krull 4.7m SWA- WBA- MUN- QPR- WIG good rotation till gw 22, reasonable fixture but with injuries in defence may have fewer cs
Vorm Al Habsi 4.5m CHE- LIV- SUN- MANC- EVE
Vorm Guzan 4.4m LIV- ARS- SWA- EVE to gw 22
Vorm Schwarzer 4.9m BOL- MUN- ARS -NEW - not bad 23 onwards for rest of season

Bloody Ben Arfa getting dropped has given me a right headache. Get rid and run the risk he plays in the nice upcoming games, or keep and run the risk he continues to be dropped. I didnt watch the match so I dunno if we were better without him, but the scoreline wouldn't suggest so.
Did anyone watch? How did Shola do?

Equally annoying is Drenthe, feckin midfielders!

That's what I'm leaning towards. I've been thinking about getting Vukcevic the last couple of weeks, seems capable of getting decent returns at a nice price.
Also need to get rid of Steve Taylor and thinking of good old Samba. Not sure yet though as I really cant see Blackburn getting many clean sheets so would be totally reliant on goals/BP for him.

I think Samba is a very decent shout for the next 2 gameweeks but you'll be back at the shop window after that.

Not sure on Vukcevic either. The added advantage of bringing him in is that you have someone with a cool mask in your team.

anyone else not that excited about the DGW? Lennon seems a rotation risk.. Everton attackers are wank.. everton defenders will get just 1 extra point in the away game vs tottenham.. would rather have nani etc over vdv.. it's all about adebayor lennon and maybe a tot defender honestly

Everton need Drenthe - had 0 shots on target vs Stoke and Arsenal. Cahill hasn't scored for a year, Saha is always injured or benched. Vellios is their top scorer with 3, Arteta has 1 - still top 5 I think.

I'd have Rodwell/Drenthe and maybe Howard from Everton myself, with Walker, Bale and VDV or Ade form Spurs. Spurs will win 2-0 I reckon.

Davies(Ful) anyone? He had his first 78 min this season. Was a good budget mf last season with 4 goals/4 assists/101 pts.

    Up against leaky bolton(h)

Or did he just play due to Murphy injury?

I had him for a lot of last season, and he most certainly was not a 'good budget mf'.

From memory, 1 goal and 2 assists came in one game, by which stage everyone had sold him.

Do you think that Bale will continue scoring?

It seems that his few games of glory are gone since VDV is on the pitch now.

Therefore, VDV out for Bale in is a stupid transfer.

Still? I missed to swap him for VDV at the beginning and lost at least a million, so I hesitate to swap them now.

I do not have any other TOT cover, so do not want to do VDV out Nani in.

Shall I give VDV one more week? Bale's price will not increase for sure.

Bale is definitely the safer bet long term but I wouldn't get rid of VDV this week. Defoe should start against Shamrock on Thursday leaving VDV a place in the starting XI vs Sunderland (providing he's fit!). Plus he's quickly becoming a differential, which is only a good thing.

    Hi guys,

Who is the messiah to all my fantasy football questions? I've gone back and forth so often my thoughts are left as ruins.

    This is my current team:

    Vorms, Ruddy
Vermaelen, Enrique, Jones, kelly, R Taylor
    Bale, Silva, Larsson, Gower
    RVP, Ba, Adebayor

I have one free transfer left. What should I do, and should I even go for a four point hit? I'm afraid Vorms will have trouble in Gameweek 16 and 17, Vermaelen will have trouble against City, Newcastle has a new defensive line I'm worried about, Bale and Adebayor I am afraid will loose points to Nani / Rooney in the time coming, and since arsenal have to tough matches coming up, I'm wondering if it's better to do Rooney Aguero Ba than RvP Ba Adebayor.

What would be the best solution for the least amount of hits?

I have 1.2 left in the bank, so I'm also considering Bale out, Mata / Nani in for the next gameweek.

Front 3 is fine. I presume you have Ferguson as your 5th midfielder, good luck with that. Defence is good, but I'd have 2 expensive defenders rather than 3, Jones -> Evans may work out. That allows you to upgrade Ferguson, or to do Larsson -> Mata

        You assume right. 🙂

Regarding defenders though: my plan is to get rid of enrique after Liverpools next easy fixes. Hopefully his worth will have gone up, and I can gain a little money on him. I've always thought Jones was a better choice to have because of his efficiency. But, you think I should keep Enrique instead? My experience last time I had him was that he seldom got more than two (or max six) points. My plan defense wise is Enrique out for gameweek 18, a cheap swansea player (N taylor), and if Newcastle's back line doesn't work in these next easy fixes, change R Taylor to De Laet who is back soon. Sounds good?

Regarding midfield, I'm having some major complications. Should I run one cheap, one expensive, or two 6.5 players (Walters, Larsson; or, better yet, Murhpy Larson with the upcoming fixes). If option one, Gower is a must for me, if you look at his scores compared to his games, an absolute knockout in terms of points. That leaves me with either Mata or Nani for expensive players. Which option seems the best until January Wild card?

As for strikers, you don't share my fear that Worms might be having another clean sheat against Ba? Or that City might be too hard for Arsenal --and VP--to get any real points? Or that Sunderland - who only have 18 goals against themselves this year - could ruin the Bale / Ade combination?

These next gameweeks are a pain in the ass!

Oh, and do you think Evans will play til the January wild card? Is it more likely Manchester will manage cleansheats untill January with Jones as possible midfield and Evans replacing Vidic, or for teams like Swansea?

Don't take Bale out this week ...

I'd be tempted to get Baines for Vermaelen but you've probably just put Vermaelen in so you might not be too keen on that.

Wait a week or 2 for Nani/Rooney I think - consider Silva --> Nani after this week. I fancy Silva could do something V arsenal.

Even though Tottenham is against Sunderland - a team with as few goals the wrong way as the big four more or less - and Manchester have to easy home fixes against teams with 24-29 goals the wrong way, you think I should keep Bale? Any reason I haven't seen? Tottenham didn't exactly look on fire against Stoke, while Manchester have as easy fixes the next two weeks as they had in their recent 4-1 victory.

Vermaelen - what a man! Gonna have him all season I think. 😛 49 points in only 6 games is the same you get for a top notch striker, and for only 6.6 when I bought him. 😀 Maybe change Jones instead, for Ntaylor or Evans for example?

I think there's going to be a bit more of this in weeks to come.

I'll be considering shipping him out after next week to have someone who's guaranteed to play all games over the festive period. He doesn't outscore Yaya by that much.
