Yet it looks like Arsenal keeper gets one, and Cahill ( Bol) one also, after deflecting a ball into his own net. Work that out.

As someone pointed out earlier in his minus column was a yellow card. Poetic justice I suppose as the time wasting possibly put Dempsey off and helped him make the save. However as most of the main players have Vorm it did not make too much difference.

Seriously considering taking a four point hit to go Ramsey > Maxi Rodrigues. Next four gwks look good, I have no Liv coverage and can't see Ramsey coming to light against City. Will someone more learned than me on Liverpool give me some reason why not to do this, and when Gerrard is expected back. Is Maxi nailed on now that Lucas is out?

I have him but I think he'll only start 2 of the next 4. Lucas and Spearing being out doesn't affect him at all. He's competing with Bellamy, Downing, Kuyt and Carroll. He is a fantastic prospect when he's on the pitch though. Definitely wouldn't take a hit to do it. He probably won't start against Villa.

It's official now, AP needs 22 points from Silva and Kompany to pull off a miraculous comeback.

Have you forgotten who City are playing? 😛

Silva and Kompany haven't combined to score 22 points in any match so far this season. If they do night, in City's hardest match so far, I'll probably cry for the rest of the winter.

He would be good value if only Stoke wouldn't be playing at home in the same weeks as Swansea does. You're gonna play Vorm at home every time so I wouldn't buy a Stoke keeper who's gonna be played only in away games.

However, during GW 22-28 they are the perfect couple.

Sorry for repost, got lost on the last page!

Paddy power cup opponent has 4 points more than me with Silva, Richards and Sturridge
I have Mata, Silva, Richards and Sturridge, so basically I need a Mata assist! Possible?! I hope so!

bah, I’m really worried about not having any Manchester United Coverage! Team and their selling prices are currently:
    Vorm(4.4)/Howard(5.4)
    Raylor(4.6)/Brown(4.6)/Enrique(5.4)/Richards(6.2)/Shawx(5.1)
    Silva(10)/Mata(9.6)/Drenthe(6)/Bale(8.5)/Arfa(5.4)
    RVP(12.6)/Sturridge(6.7)/Adebayor(8.5)

0.7 in the bank! Really want Nani, Jones or Welbeck but don’t know who to ditch(looking at Arfa, Drenthe or Raylor!)

Nani asking a lot with that midfield, unless you want to lose a big hitter (and you shouldn't).

Richards to Jones seems the easiest way to get one of the players you mentioned.

    Anyway, my transfer this week....

    Sessegnon > Bale

    Gives me an attack of

    Mata, Silva, Nani, Bale
    Sturridge, Adebayor, RvP

My defence is pretty cheap but i don't get cleans sheets regardless of who i pick so yeah, really like the look of my front 7. I'm so far behind hopefully this'll do me well!

Tempted to knee jerk to take a -8 points hit, so I need some common sense. After brining in Dempsey for VDV (VDV price soon droping; Ful vs Bolton, would that be another 6:0?), I am left with Adam and Larsson in my mid, but I do not rate their chances of scoring that many points in their 2 upcoming fixutres, espeically Larson's. So,

    a) bring in Bale and Tim Cahill. + Everton plays vs a team that always concedes, so Cahill must be involved. On the downside, Everton struggles scoring goals and Norwich are always hard to go down and prone to suprises (e.g. drew with Liv). Whereas, I can only think of positives bringing in Bale for the game vs Sund. If I do so, I will also have to rest RVP this GW vs ManC (Ade and Ba are my other two strikers).

    b) or just take a 4 point hit and bring in Bale for Larsson. Watched Sund vs Bla and Sund defence was not very impressive - O'Shea and Bramble will not be quick enough for Bale and co. On top of that, Sund defence will be put to a test by Tot who will strive to bounce back after the game with Stoke.

So, please vote and any additional comments will be further appreciated. Thank you.

even against Man City I wouldn't consider resting RVP.... Scored a hattrick against Chelsea and that's 13mil of your team just sitting in the bench....

Scoring points and big value - can't argue against these two. So that will be plan B. Cheers.

Keep hold of Adam if I were you. Liverpool got a good run of fixtures and Adam has picked up assists and bps in recent weeks.

He really has done so, but I am more concerned with the failure of Liv to score more goals (if any). Although creating lots of chances, they have not been putting the ball so often in the back of the net. At some point, that should happen and when it does, he should be well involved. Well, I will keep him and hope he delivers. Cheers.

Clubs with new managers often play better than expected so I would expect Sunderland defence to be better. They were certainly giving 110% yesterday.Personally I would do Bale to VDV at some point as I believe VDV will miss games very likely in the dgw

Cahill was a great player last year but poor since the Asia cup not worth a 4 pointer imo.

Fulham seem to be mainly involved in low scoring games since the 6-0 so although Bolton defence looks tempting I do not think it will happen. I am also biased as I think Klasnic will score as he generally does when his team keeps 11 players on the pitch.

Imo you have to very sure before taking hits and weigh up the players in and out over the next 3 gws as to whether the new player will score at least 4 more than the old ones-
Fulham fixtures till w/c BOL MUN che nor ARS bla NEW WBA mcy
Actually I have read your post again and see you have already done Dempsey so good luck with that

Hope this helps but my experience suggests if in doubt do not do it

And ManC have not kept a clean sheet in ages as an ex Kompany holder I know.

Well, if RVP scores another hat-trick vs ManC, let me assure you that next I will be buying an Arsenal shirt with his name on it. A Xmas present.

Cheers for that. I really like Martin O'Neill as a manager and feel confident that he will do wonders with Sun. However, one week in football is not a long time, so the game vs Tot will reveal the true extent of the work he will have to do. Sund defence did give 110% yesterday, but not while being under pressure. And when they were they conceded a goal (or two, if you like).

Cahill is one of those players whom I really like - a mid who plays as a striker. Just like, Walters, Dempsey, Sess, Mata, etc. But if you are to rank high in FPL one needs to play players who score points and not the ones s/he likes.

I admit that VDV for Dempsey may have been a rushed move as I completely forgot that Fulham plays vs Odense on Thursday. Unless it is no longer their priority (as ManUn and ManC are now in it), it is a game they need to win if they are to qualify for next round. Ful has some tough upcoming fixtures, so it is a game they must win and better win it good. Keeping him for the next two GW to latter decide what I will make of it.

Last, my only hit most likely will be Larsson for Bale. To make this hit pay off the minimum, Bale needs to score at least 6 points. ( - 4 for the hit + 2 points that will most likely Larson receive). Personally, I feel confident that Bale will make at least one assist and if he scores more, then that will really pay off the hit.

        Cheers.

How on earth did Gary Cahill manage to get a bonus point being on the losing side and not contributing a goal or an assist?!

There's literally nothing that stands out about his performance in the Opta Stats here.

Maybe a few short passes to teammates? Schezny is in the same boat, not a single save and managed to get the same PPI as RVP. Ridiculous.

Love him as a player, but had him from GW1-12. Returns not good (and regular) enough.

    Hey all,

    Any thoughts on my team:

    Vorm / Krul
    Enrique / Jones / JEvans / NTaylor / Richards
    Silva / Bale / Larsson / Nani / Ferguson
    RVP / Ba / Ade

Should I play Richards at home to Arsenal next week?

    Be champions!

        this is AFTER the hits!

i'm guessing it's not that well thought out then.

OK. VDV > Nani is a done deal. i have Ade so Bale is not a necessity just just yet.

        any other pearls of wisdom?

Hmmm, Drenthe at home to Norwich or Ben Arfa at home to Swans... both rotation risk, and both 1 pointer risks if I play one and hope if they don't pay the other one does!
