A hugely significant fixture in the capital tonight, sees Chelsea host league-leaders Manchester City in the final outing of Gameweek 15. The Dugout Discussion has swung it’s doors wide open, so come and and digest the emerging team news…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Ivanovic, Cole, Romeu, Ramires, Meireles, Mata, Drogba, Sturridge.
Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Clichy, Kompany, Lescott, Barry, Yaya Toure, Milner, Silva, Balotelli, Aguero.

The visitors line-up exactly as expected, with Mario Balotelli partnering Sergio Aguero upfront, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces the injured Micah Richards. It’s the home side who make a couple of changes from the game at Newcastle, with the free-roaming David Luiz banned and the once guaranteed-starter Frank Lampard dropped. Jose Bosingwa comes in, pushing Branislav Ivanovic infield, as does Raul Meireles, slotting into the midfield.

On the hunt for bandwagons …

Am considering using my free transfer this week to bring Ba in for Ade, any thoughts? It would give me a front 3 of RVP, Sturridge and Ba. I'm struggling with this one since yesterday when it seems Ade is now on penos. But Newcastle at home to Swansea and WBA next two gameweeks is hard to ignore. But do Newcastle have enough fit players left to get the ball to Demba so that he can stick it in the net??
Really struggling with this one, any words of wisdom appreciated.

    Yep, I like Ade long term, a nailed on starter in a team that's going to score plenty of goals...and am probably just getting dazzled by the potential of Ba's next 3 games...
    If I do make the swap given it will be difficult for me to get Ade back in due to price difference.

  hard to beat the combination looking till Jan.
  
  ba can score whenever he want.
  he nearly scored twice against chelsea and score twice in norwich.
  couldn't risk without him.
  
  better getting him in and get 5pts. then regret not having him.

  I also have RVP, Adebayor, Sturridge and I'd also like Ba, but my conclusion is that there is no good way to do it. If you have 3 of those 4 you should probably stick with it imo, you can't fit them all in.

        Well he has the fixtures from now on. I get the feeling that Man U are going to go on another run now. Hopefully, SAF realises that Rooney is wasted in midpark and plays up top from now on 🙂

  I have that front 3 and perfectly happy with that. I will bring Ade for the double after the Swa game. It depends what you are gonna do with the cash in meantime. I had the opportunity to bring Vermy at the back and ultimate midfield of Bale, DVD, Silva and Nani/Mata who I want. So I didn't knee jerked and brought him before the Bol game. If I was in your boat, I would probably keep Ade, if I don't feel inspired with someone else and I will desperately need the cash.

    Yep, might hang tough another week and even with another Ba price rise could make a double change next week (before Spurs play Chelsea) for free. At the moment if I swapped Ba in for Ade I'd have 1.7m spare cash, I could use that to either uprgade Fergie in midfield or De Laet at the back. So far I haven't had to call on either so it's been fine carrying them but that probably won't last over the Christmas period. Have a midfield of Nani, Silva, Bale and Walters which I'm pretty happy with.
    As WRH pointed out SuperVorm could have another stormer so probably best to stick with Ade for Spurs home game against Sunderland this week and re-assess then.

Front eight include O'Hara, VDV, Dyer, Nani, Silva, RVP, Adebayor and Ba.. no Chelsea coverage! Thinking of either VDV > Mata, or Ade > Sturridge. Any other opinions would be good, cheers!

Gents, need some advice;
Whats the deal with VdV, always knew he was a major risk going in to the xmas period but if he is not on set pieces, I want to drop him. Looks like he is on abou 85% to drop as well, and I have 0,1 riding on that so want to act soon - any info would be apprechiated! Also, how is the Man U back 4 looking now without Vidic? Evans looks a great gamble at 4.4 even if he only plays 3-4 in the next 6 GWs, no?
The plan is to do Wilkinson -> Evans and VdV -> Adam this week for a 4 pointer - foolish move? It will leave me with 3 Man U, 1 from Chelsea, Arsenal and Pool - no Spurs coverage though.

  Evans is good at 4.4 provided you have 3 other defenders who play - which you do.
  
  Adam not for me as Lpool are not getting enough goals to make his price worth it. Get Mata or Bale if you still want spurs cover. Other suggestion could be Walters/Larsson and use the spare on Dyer.

    Adam is a differential, in both my cup and leagues I would be the only one with Liverpool attacking coverage - a bit of a gamble but I dont need 2 chelski as I think Sturridge is enough cover. Can't decide if that gamble is worth 4pts. As much as it would suck to loose money on VdV, he is captain material this weekend... Issues!!!

      I do love a differential too but not Adam. Perhaps just get Bale then. Sunderland at home is a good fixture and DGW coming and 1M to use elsewhere.

        Just realised, the guy I am up against in the cup has ade lennon AND bale, so for that one I almost have to hold on to vdv one more week. Also, everyone above me in my league has Bale or Ade.. Looks like Evans will be this weeks transfer...

  If you get rid of VDV, you have no TOT coverage, as you say. You could trade him for Bale if you take the view that injury/loss of set play duties influence matters. Adam would be a downgrade imo.
  
  Yep, Evans at 4.4 is great value and an ideal swap for Bad K. Problem is you have Jones so you'd be doubling up.

Was fortunate enough to bring Yak into my team the week he hit 4, but I'm now thinking about getting rid for Sturridge, can't decide if this is a good move or not? - do ppl expect him to do well against West Brom/ feel this is a hard game to call!

alternately I could keep hold of Yak and swap VDV for Mata for my chelsea coverage this gw.

Been lucky with my points hits this year, first one was for 12 in week 10 and went up 60,000 places (granted I was on 735,000 at the time) and this week I spent 8 for Sturridge/Nani and Jones for Hernandez/Ramsey and Brown and went up 60,000 again to 207,000th.

Not a post to gloat, just that the hits do work, when you are not in the top 100,000 probably.

Just a question, which one do you like better:

A:
Silva, VDV, Bale, Nani, Dyer
VP, Ade, Sturridge

or B:
Silva, Bale, Nani, Dyer, 4.7m mid (prolly Johnson or Moses)
VP, Rooney, Ade

Team is currently A and plan to save the transfer this week as Sturridge and VDV's nice fixtures and swap them for Rooney and B.Johnson for United's home game vs Wigan and Blackburn.
