FPL Bonus – Gameweek Sixteen

The EA Sports Player Performance Index scores are out and the Fantasy Premier League have now updated their bonus points accordingly. Here’s how the bonus breaks down for gameweek sixteen, with more than a few surprises in store…

Please note, the Aguero assist for Silva’s goal was removed following review. It was adjudged that the City striker did not get a touch on Balotelli’s cross but that the Arsenal defender diverted it into David Silva’s pass. The assists awarded to Mario Balotelli which boosted his EA PPI and saw him claim the two, relegating Pablo Zabaleta back down to one.

      Well, you see;
      Bonus points are awarded based on the 'EA Sports PPI Index' - with the three highest 'PPI' scorers of each given match receiving a score of 3-2-1. If scores are tied, Bonus Points will be shared equally among the players.
      In the Spurs vs Sunderland match, Emmanuel Adebayor (and Brad Friedel) scored a total 22 PPI points, with the next best in that match scoring 20 PPI points (Rafael Van der Vaart)
      Therefore, Emmanuel Adebayor and Brad Friedel received a total of 3 Bonus Points.

    VDV had a great game yesterday but the shots off-target spoiled his PPI. FPL folk should really re-consider about deducting points for shooting off-target.

    I have 0.7 in bank. Was planning on saving my transfer this week. I need to take Yak out after this week. As it stands I'd have 6.4 to spend. With 2 frees I'd have the option of downgrading to free up funds. I had planned on Bale-Allen and Yak-Hernandez, but am not so sure now. Anyone offer me anything else?

      Nope, although Opta showed Simpson putting in 4 successful crosses, clearly the PA data failed to recognise these. The PPI scores in this game were very very close - he missed out by 4 points.

    Got 1FT and 0.6m in the bank so only transfers I can think of are Naylor -> Evans (not sure of game time) and a replacement for dyer but nothing great at that price.

    Save the transfer?

    Ade was offside about six times no lie. However he did win many tackles in spurs half, perhaps tracking back influences the index of a striker. ...just a wild stab in the dark.

      Why would you go for Adebayor because he gets 3 BP for not scoring when you could get Ba/Sturridge/Van Persie/Rooney etc who get 3BP + score
