Wolves will need to make do without Jamie O’Hara once again this evening, as Norwich make their way to Molineux. Chelsea expect John Terry to be fit for Thursday’s clash with Spurs after suffering an Achilles tweak, while reports suggest Gareth Bale is winning his fitness battle ahead of the all-London showdown.

Steve Kean’s worries mount up, with Scott Dann and Gael Givet both out for Blackburn in tonight’s Lancashire derby with Bolton. Arsene Wenger and Alan Pardew both have dilemmas in the midfield area, with Alex Song and Yohan Cabaye missing out against Aston Villa and West Brom respectively due to one-match bans.

As ever, keep checking Team News for all the latest reports, outs and doubts and predicted lineups. There’s also our handy Twitter feed which brings you news links direct from the source.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Thanks Mark - tonight's the night for Baines eh? I transferred him out for Verm and Evans... not comfortable with it but the price rises and drops pre-wildward forced my hand a GW early!

      Think that Verm wills core against Villa, they are absolutely horrible at defending set pieces and that means that RVP will more than likely get any assist from headed corners and the like too...!

        I'd take that... I think with the arsenal injuries he's a nailed on defender (and I'm ot sure if a Djorou injury increases/decreases the chances of a CS this season), and his shots on Sunday looked venomous.

      Larsson 1st sub - could always pop up with a set piece. The other two both likely to concede on paper, so for me it's three two pointers but with a high chance of soemthing from the Mackem. Good luck!

    off topic gents, but very funny...

    Listening to the radio the other day describing an anecdote from a 4 year old girl...she was in a cafe watching an older gent eat some Shepards pie...all of a sudden the gent sneezed violently and his false teeth flew out into his shepard's pie...he picked them up, placed them back in and carried on eating...the young girl spent the next few years afraid that if she sneezed hard enough, she could blow her teeth out! 🙂
    hahaha...i don't think she was too traumatised though as she thought she could put them straight back in 🙂

      Arguments for both. Everton are not exactly prolific in front of goal and Swansea did manage a cleanie on the road last time out at Newcastle, but Drenthe starting might help in that area.

      Wolves are stuggling at the moment as well but Ruddy had a good game last time out and could get plenty of saves. As Tosey said yesterday, both will likely concede and he fancies Ruddy to get more saves.

      Basically play Vorm if you'd rather take the slight chance of a clean sheet and play Ruddy if you think both will likely concede and you fancy an extra point from a few saves.

    Hi guys

    I am entering a double GW in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football.

    I am either gonna captain -

    Rooney @ Fulham & (H) to Wigan

    or

    RVP @ Villa & (H) to Villa

    I think RVP is the stand out option but hear this. With the proposed Boxing Day tube strikes, the fixture would potentially be moved forward 24 hours but this would move it out of this GW and onto the next.

    Do I play it save in the knowledge that Rooney will play both 90 mins or risk it with RVP in the hope that there is no strike and that Wenger isn't tempted to rest him which he has done on a few occassions???

    Advice much appreciated.

      that is tricky. With the uncertainty surrounding the game + Rooney's next fixture i'd prob go Rooney. That said, i'd say RvP is the better option this week. Go safe perhaps?

      I think RVP will play wegner admited it was a mistake to rest him the last time he did it. Villa are having awful poor form. Arsenal need to keep winning to stay in contention after loss to city. For me van persie is your man. Rooney at fulham, same fixture was poor last year. possibly a tough game for united . They should win. But van persie the better option in my opinion

    I don't own Baines, but it's set beautifully this week for a CS and an assist plus BPs. If Everton could defend and they had a forward who scored, he'd be the best buy in the game.

    He wasn't 4th highest scorer for nothing last year.

      Cant believe his stats from last week. If he keeps that up, surely a matter of time? (Bit like O'Hara before his 2 decent hauls - threatening for weeks, then finally converting)
      Patience is the key - but it's a lot of money to be patient with.

      No danger. Away to Man City. Not a chance. 2 good homes games after 2 moro so do it for then and avoid the hit.

      no, but assuming you are upgrading somewhere else, and you fancy the other player you bring in to score 4 points more than the player you would have started otherwise, then yes.

    Vorm, Kenny
    Enrique, Kompany, Evans, Raylor, Ward
    VDV, Nani, Silva, Walters, Dyer
    Adebayor, RVP, Sturridge
    2 free transfers and not a clue what to do?
    Thinking Dyer - Moses (never play Dyer) or maybe Kenny to someone (0.3 in bank)
    Any ideas please?

      Downgrade Kompany, upgrade Dyer? Maybe Drenthe if you're happy to gamble on him starting
      great team anyway

    Transfer advice for GW18? Have 2 freebies and 0.0m in the bank.

    Westwood, (Ruddy)
    Vermaelen, P Jones, Wilko. (Brown), (Simpson)
    Silva, Nani, Ramsey, Sinclair, (Reo-Coker)
    RVP, Saurez, Adebayor

    Assuming Suarez gets banned I'm thinking about either:

    a) Brown & Suarez ->Evans & Studge,
    b) Brown & Suarez -> Caulker & Chico, or
    c) Sinclair/Ramsey & Suarez -> Valencia & Studge

    Which is best?

    Hi guys

    I am entering a double GW in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football.

    I am either gonna captain –

    Rooney @ Fulham & (H) to Wigan

    or

    RVP @ Villa & (H) to Wolves

    I think RVP is the stand out option but hear this. With the proposed Boxing Day tube strikes, the fixture would potentially be moved forward 24 hours but this would move it out of this GW and onto the next.

    Do I play it save in the knowledge that Rooney will play both 90 mins or risk it with RVP in the hope that there is no strike and that Wenger isn’t tempted to rest him which he has done on a few occassions???

    Advice much appreciated.
