Steve Morison gets amongst the points yet again for Norwich. Wayne Hennessey’s heroics restrict the Canaries to a couple of goals at Molineux, while Chris Eagles’ Fantasy owners will be getting a little nervous as the winger is benched for the second match in a row:

Steve Morison
Once again, the Welshman produced the goods for his Fantasy owners last night. Morison provided an assist for Simeon Jackson’s goal to put Norwich 2-1 ahead at Molineux and, in terms of value, is the number one outfield player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Morison’s consistency is so strong he gets an almost-weekly mention in the Scout Notes- last night’s contribution means that, since becoming a permanent fixture in Paul Lambert’s starting XI back in Gameweek 5, he has either scored or assisted in all but three games. In spite of his heroics, Morison remains at 5.0, his original price, though is proving to be one of the most reliable Fantasy acquisitions around.

Andrew Surman
The midfield was a peripheral figure in the Canaries set-up over the first twelve gameweeks, making just three appearances, but now seems to have established himself in Paul Lambert’s first XI. Surman has started every match since gameweek 13, failing to finish only one of those fixtures, and vindicated his manager’s decision by firing home the opener at Wolves last night. At 4.3, he looks decent value and has crept onto the radar, though second-guessing Lambert’s team selection at times can prove a tad too tricky.

Kyle Naughton
The full-back picked up his fifth booking of the season and will serve his one-match suspension in the Canaries next game, at home to Spurs. Initially, there was some confusion over this- given that Tottenham are his parent club, he would have been ineligible to play on the 27th December anyway, but this morning we’ve had it confirmed by the FA that he will be available for selection for the New Year’s Eve fixture at home to Fulham, having served his suspension.

Kevin Doyle
His omission from last night’s Wolves lineup was something of a rarity. Doyle dropped to the bench for the first time this season, with Sylvain Ebanks-Blake fielded alongside Steven Fletcher. Given his replacement found the net, Doyle’s owners may be a little wary going forward now, with his position as an automatic first-choice forward perhaps no longer as assured.

Wayne Hennessey
The Wolves stopper may have shipped a couple of goals but performed heroics between the posts to defy Norwich time and again. Hennessey made 9 saves at Molineux last night and has now recorded 84 saves this season- given that Brad Friedel is second best with 64, the Welshman’s importance to Mick McCarthy’s outfit is obvious. You’d have to go back to gameweek 3 for the last time Hennessey recorded a clean sheet but thanks to his save points, he’s the third-top scoring keeper in FPL so far this term.

Yakubu
The Nigerian’s goal was not enough to save Blackburn from defeat but his Fantasy owners will be smiling after he grabbed his tenth goal of the campaign. Rovers fans may be calling for the head of Steve Kean but they cannot deny his purchase of Yakubu was an inspired decision- his 10 goal haul has come from just eleven starts. With away trips to Liverpool and Man United next, his owners won’t be too optimistic over the festive period.

Chris Eagles
The winger’s place in Bolton’s starting XI had seemingly looked assured over the last few months. Eagles had started every one of the Trotters’ fixtures from gameweek 8-15 but he was afforded a forty-five minute sub appearance last week away to Fulham. Last night saw this situation worsen, much to the chagrin of Eagles’ 10.8% of Fantasy owners- not only was he benched, he failed to make an appearance in what was, arguably, Bolton’s most crucial game of the season. The win at bitter rivals Blackburn lifted Bolton off the bottom of the table and given that Martin Petrov, installed in Eagles’ place on the left wing, grabbed an assist, his owners will be anxiously reviewing the situation over the next couple of gameweeks, particularly with a couple of crucial home games up next.

Kevin Davies
Similar to Eagles, his omission from the Bolton side was significant, though Davies has just 4.1% of owners in comparison. Owen Coyle went with David N’Gog alongside Ivan Klasnic, with the latter seemingly an automatic starter when available this term. With a couple of goals all season, compared to Klasnic’s 7, Davies is clearly not the steady Fantasy force he was in seasons gone by and given that he, too, sat on the bench for the entirety of the derby, his game time looked less assured than ever- Davies has completed just six full appearances this season for the Trotters.

Would rate Morison above Holt due to his consistency. And since it seems Lambert prefers Morison over Holt when he occasionally switches to 4-5-1. Depends however on whether or not you can afford the extra £0.1

ok please help a brother out. My team for boxing day is as follows

    Vorm/Westwood

    Jones, BAE, Raylor, Brown, McAuley

    Nani, Bale, Silva, VdV, Tiote

    Ba, RvP, Yak

I have 0.7 in bank and 2 frees. Would love to get Rooney, but only way is to lose RvP or downgrade a midfield heavyweight (Silva or Bale preferably if I had too). Anyone any thoughts on what I might do?

Just posted this below but its for here

Maybe check the Fulham game and see how Hernandez affects Rooney (personally I do not think it will have that much of a difference, Rooney was just in a rut before. I think that Man Utd could end up scoring 8 or 9 in their two home games whereas Spurs have two away games which I dont think will make for huge scores, maybe against Norwich. If you’re desperate to get Rooney I think Ba and VDV/ Bale to Drenthe/similar might be the way. Also unless you have Silva from the start I think Mancini will rotate him quite a bit over Xmas for some reason, may just be paranoia though

Player one has played in 16 PL games
Player two has played in 16 PL games
Player one has played 1278 minutes
Player two has played 1232 minutes
Player one has scored ONE MORE POINT than player two this season.
Player one is talked about on here everyday, and has an article all about him on this site in the past 24 hours.
Player two has been virtually ignored everyday until the past 24 hours, and has been mentioned for the first time as a prospect in an article for this site. (Surely he was mentioned in his squads preseason article.)

Player one costs 4.3 MILLION more than player two.

Added Bonus--Player two doesn't have a problem with black people apparently. So he should be available.

Anyone care to solve this impossible riddle?
If not, no worries. Just need to kill another 45 minutes.

naturally, i figured i made it more obvious as i went along. It is amazing though. At the end of the day, you are getting the same returns. And if Suarez misses a bunch of games, it stands to reason morison will finish on top.

yeah but this game is not about what happened the last 10 weeks its about about what u expect to happen.
we all know morrison will not score 8 goals n 3 games for example but while suarez is not doing it, we know it is possible anytime.
and after all grant holt started the preseason as fiorst choice striker and captain of norwich which mad emorrison not guaranteed starts and even now, he's not as secured starts as suarez (minus the suspension)

Never had Suarez, always been pants from a ff view, but with RVP, Sturridge, Ba, Ade, Yak, guess it's easy for Morrison to be overlooked.
And NOR are always expected to lose I guess.

Harry Redknapp says Gareth Bale is 'struggling' to be fit for tomorrow night. 'He hasn't been able to train so he's very doubtful'.

Redknapp says Ledley King is '50/50 at best. It just depends how his knee reacts over the next day or so'.

Redknapp on Defoe: He's got a hamstring. He thinks he's got a chance, the physio doesn't. He's not keen in him taking the chance'.

Redknapp also reports that Adebayor has a foot problem and won't be able to train today. Redknapp on Adebayor: 'He doesn't miss many games, I've got a feeling he'll be okay for tomorrow'.

Redknapp on Lennon: 'He shouldn't be out too long, it's only a minor tear. He could be back in a couple of weeks'.

but he offers me no benefit, they guy I'm chasing also has him so he gain me nothing. I may look at him for DGW if he's fit. Think about this. He hasn't trained all week, Spurs play again 5 days after Chelsea, there's every chance he won't make that game either.

For boxing day im struggling on which route to take, ive got two free transfers:
Enrique and Begovic to P Jones and 4.0 gk (already have Smalling but Jones looks like scoring at least a few the rest of this season, becoming a must have)

Problem is my bench is Pilkington, Wilkinson and Barnett, three non-starters and for boxing day i want subs that are likely to play in case obvious starters are suddenly rested. Would do Wilkinson to Shotton, Pilkington to Surman most probably?

    Route A or route B?

There was an article I posted on here the other day (Garg posted it on Twitter) that said he was causing Moyes a headache as he's great going forward but was worried about him when they needed help defensively.

So yeah, there could be problems ahead but to be fair they really need his creative spark so I hope Moyes just uses the rest of the team to defend 🙂

    Hi

I need some transfer advice (0.6 in the bank). Current team is:

    Vorm (Al Habsi)

    Baines JEvans Verm Jones Enrique

    Silva Bale Walters Sinclair Ferguson

    Sturridge RVP(c) Ba

Which do you think is best for the next GW from:

    1) Ba and Bale out --------> Rooney and Tiote in (4 point hit)
    2) Ferguson and Al Habsi out ------------> Gomez and Ruddy in (4 point hit)
    3) Ferguson out --------------> Tiote or another player up to the value of 4.6 (no 4 point hit)

My dilemma is I want Rooney for the consecutive home games, but I'm worried about having a sub-standard bench during the xmas period - is it worth the risk?

let me know your thoughts please

    thanks

I was set on doing this week O’hara out for Ethrington however have no United or Chelsea cover bar Evans which scares me to death…

I could however right now do Baines out for Shotton and then Nani for O’hara? what do people reckon?

Following that to address Chelsea i could do Ba out Sturridge?
