The decorations are up on the site, but normal service rolls on. The Team News section was fully populated in the last 24-hours and will continue to be updated today and even tomorrow, with any last minute scraps.

Yesterday’s big news concerned Phil Jones’ jaw, with the United’s Mr Versatile looking likely to take to the field when Wigan come visit Old Trafford. Elsewhere, Chelsea look set to be forced into a defensive shuffle, which may even see Jose Bosingwa or Paulo Ferreira alongside John Terry, if David Luiz fails to overcome his knee injury. We’re not quite sure which is the lesser of those potential evils.

Meanwhile, Man City have minor doubts over both Micah Richards and Edin Dzeko before their trip to the Hawthorns, with Adam Johnson having major doubts over his City future. Let’s hope the bench at West Brom is a comfortable one.

The Scout Picks will follow on this evening, with several articles scheduled to arrive between then and now. We’ll keep you informed on all the latest, via the tweets.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Right lads, fair to say I'm more than happy with my current team (got rid of krul and wilkinson last night), but fair to say I also have bit of a selection headache this gw!

    Current team...

    Vorm Sorenson
    Evans Smalling Richards Enrique Simpson
    Bale Nani Silva Larsson Walters
    Ba RVP Adebayor

Gonna potentially have enrique or richards on bench and walters, all who have good fixtures!

Bench Larsson instead of Walters, not too sure what to do about your defence though, would prefer Richards playing (if fit) to Evans.

I can't see man u conceding so if smalling and evans start, should be a nailed on CS. Don't like the thought of benching richards so enrique would be most likely canditate which seems nuts at home to Blackburn but they score most games away. Agree with walters but I'll be at the s'land game so would prefer to play larsson for bit more fun.

hah :D, got rid of the same guys yesterday, got sorensen and Hibbert(dont know why but I had 4,8 left and took it as a sign :D.

I would go Vorm(because he has always made me regret benching him :D), Enrique, Smalling Richards- New are away and will concede, no need to double up on united when you got an attacking City defender. Evans first sub.
Bale, Nani, Silva, Walters in. Everton is the best defensive team out of the opponents that your guys have. Dont see Sunderland getting more than 1.

Yeah haven't done myself any favours. If a few games had been called off would have been laughing with decent subs, but as it is I reckon I'm gonna be dissappointed with at least one big points haul sitting on my bench.

ok assuming all is well between now and dgw how does this sound?

    GW19 – Do nothing (i.e. save transfer)

    GW20 – Valencia ➡ Drenthe/Rodwell/Fellaini/Osman and Ba ➡ Ade for no hit.

that being said, Rafa's return to fitness is drawing me back to him

    Vorm (Given)

Jones / Enrique / Kompany (Senderos / Simpson)

    Nani(C) / Silva / Drenthe / Larrson (Dyer)

    BA / RVP(vc) / Ade

Not sure bruv. I'd have to do some research nad due diligence but aside from the occasional week when I'm being a smarty and playing 4 at the back, or like at present due to injuries, stats at the end of the season reflect that the top few mids score above the best defs.

I love my midfield of Mata, Silva, Nani, Bale but when the DGW comes around i have no idea on who to downgrade so i can get Drenthe in and upgrade to a Spurs defender. I'd like it if i could get Walters in for the next couple of gameweeks and then do a straight swap to Drenthe but i'd be stupid to get rid of one of my midfielders.

    What would you do?

Last night, I tried to convince myself.. Sharing with you and would like to know what you think.

Ba > Sturridge .... This week vs Next week.

1: Goalscoring Form : Chelsea scored 16 goals in the last 6 home games, 2nd most in the league. Newcastle scored 10 from their last 6 away games, 5th most in the league. >> Go CFC.

2: Concede : Bolton conceded 13 goals and had 1 cleansheet in their last 6 home games, most in the league. Fulham conceded 5 goals and had 3 cleansheet in their last 6 away, just only United, Liverpool, and Chelsea did better than them. >> Go NUFC.

3: Sturridge scored a total of 9 goals. 3 at home and 6 away. He had record of 2.6 shots per game and 1 key pass at home. Ba scored 13 goals. 6 at home and 7 away. He had 3.4 shots per game and 0.3 key pass on away game. >> Go BA.

4: Ba contributed 59% of NUFC goals, while Sturridge contributed 26% for CFC. >> Go BA.

6: Ba had average 7.3 FPL point away, while Sturridge had average 6.0 FPL point at home. >> Go BA.

7: Ba price is probably rise 0.1 more.. Sturridge will rise tonight and probably another rise in Sunday night. >> Go STURRIDGE.

    What do you think?

I've made my two transfers already so will keep Ba; but Newcastle have gone a bit flat and I'm not sure how long he can keep up the form. One more week against the worst defence in the League looks a convincing enough argument though.

I did Ba->Sturridge yesterday using a pretty similar logic to yours with the following additional point:
      8. I will surely want to do the transfer Ba->Sturridge next week, so why not preempt the Sturridge price rises if I have a free transfer waiting...

Maybe because Ba will outscore Sturridge this week.
Ba has scored 7 goals and 1 assist in his last 5 away games, and Bolton concede almost 3 goals every home game.
Down right daft to get rid of Ba before Bolton, chasing value with Sturridge is going to get you less points, bookmark if you want.

Haha.. Yes, price rise. That's the hardest part to ignore, especially for a price lover likes me.

I could sell Ba for full profit and timing was exactly for me to get a rise of Sturridge.

I just thought, point wise, Ba might give me more this week.. So, I wait. 🙂

      I reckon you're overthinking it.

If I said, "you have the choice of two strikers, equal in price and form, but one is away to Bolton and the other is home to Fulham," which do you think you'd choose?

Bolton's defence is woeful. Fulham made life difficult for Arsenal and RVP when they played them away.

      Pretty simple decision IMO 🙂

Haha tell me about it, I'm planning on swapping Ba for Sturridge next week and have been staring at the FISO page for days 😉

Seems they're alternating rises, it'll just be a matter of timing it so I grab Sturridge when his price matches what I'll get selling Ba.

I think Silva is looking "overpriced" for what he is contributing at present. If I could afford it I would prefer Aguero. You definitely need some United attacking cover so do it.

I think the premium mids (Nani, Silva, VDV, Mata, Bale) are a case of either big hits and misses, or consistent scores pretty well every week.

Nani and VDV are the former. Silva and Mata are the latter. I thought Bale was the former but he may actually be the perfect balance between the two.
