Scoring goals is often cited as the most difficult task for promoted teams to achieve in their first season in the Premier League. Norwich City have had little trouble however, with striker Steve Morison one of the key factors behind their success.

Paul Lambert’s side have netted in all but two of their Premier League games so far this season, including their last ten matches – an amazing feat, that betters many of the established sides. The calibre of opponent during this time is also impressive; the Canaries have notched goals at Anfield, the Etihad Stadium and Stamford Bridge, as well as scoring against Newcastle and Arsenal.

Morison’s consistency during his first season in the top flight has been extraordinary, and with home games against Spurs and Fulham, and an away trip to QPR to come over the festive period, the former Millwall striker is undoubtedly worthy of his high Watchlist ranking.

Currently toiling alongside club skipper Grant Holt in a 4-4-2, when Lambert does tinker, he seems to favour the mobility of Morison over skipper Holt when adopting the 4-5-1 formation. Morison began the season playing a bit part role, but since Liverpool away at the end of October, he has failed to complete 90 minutes only once – he looks the more secure option of the two Norwich marksmen.

Morison has recorded five goals and two assists in his last eight games, with the gameweek 13 win over QPR his only blank. That’s a record that belies his price tag. Indeed, as well as his impressive form, Morison’s Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price of only 5.0 means that he can most definitely be classed as exceptional value for money. Morison is currently second only to Demba Ba in the FPL “Value” stakes amongst the forwards, but Ba will set you back 2.5 more than the Norwich man.

With the inevitable team rotation from the top teams over the Christmas period, Morison offers a cheap, secure third striker option that’s seems almost guaranteed to deliver points each gameweek – a precious commodity during this uncertain festive spell.

Not sure about Song, good player but not a fantasy Football player for me.
In goals you have two good budget options, would try to upgrade one of them.
You could swap either Brown or Simpson for Evans.
Other than that you have a decent team.

Only option I can see for the DGW would be Bale for Silva. Not 100% sure on that.
I could also do BAE for Simpson to get more Spurs coverage, assuming I do Evans for Wilkinson next week.

Schwarzer and Mignolet are both injured. That's why there's a red flag next to their names and they haven't been earning you any points for the last few weeks.

I'd look at Schwarzer to Krul if you can afford that move.

Ramsey out is the obvious move really.

Up to you who you get in. I'd be inclined to downgrade Ramsey this week to a £4.8m or less midfielder who you'd be happier benching every week and then use your 2 frees next week to see if you can get Bale in for the DGW.

Yes, but you still have the same problem that you are having to drop a £6m+ midfielder every week.

I'd rather spend the extra for Bale and have someone like Moses or Allen who you can bench every week and not have to worry about whether to play 5 mids or have to spend the whole week deciding on which one to drop.

Sounds good. VDV is a pain to have, I took the risk and finally got rid of him last week for Drenthe, and it paid off.

Thanks! Stockdale is on my shopping list, just have to leave enough money in the bank for when Schwarzer comes back. Vorm - Fulham keeper is my rotation combo for second half of the season.

Guys who to play...Caulker or BAE. The bookies reckon Swansea are more likely to keep a clean sheet, but i already have Vorm in net. What is everyones standard play here. Take the best % chance or take a slighty worse price and hedge my bets?

Play Caulker. If you have a Swansea defender you have to play him @ home regardless of what keeper you have. Spurs will concede.

Well the thing is i made up my mind to go with the bookies when i have a toin coss. But because I have Vorm already i'm wondering if people always hedge or always go with the best ( even if its only marginally better)

As a general rule I did at start of season. But this case because its so close is swaying me to go with BAE ...

Problem is that you got Caulker for a reason and that was cheap clean sheets. Does not get any better than QPR. It may not work but it is worth taking the small risk.
