Arsene Wenger is giving little away regarding the likelihood of Robin Van Persie’s start against QPR. Meanwhile, Alex Ferguson prepares to patch up his defence once again ahead of the visit of Blackburn, with Chris Smalling set to miss out and Phil Jones in line to return.

There’s no such injury concerns for Roberto Mancini, who will surely be shuffling his pack like a demented Paul Daniels ahead of two matches in the space of six days. The rest of the Premier League managers are left to play with far more limited options, but Fantasy managers still look set to enter a gameweek of uncertainty – nervously scanning their bench to assess the reserves on standby.

All the team news ahead of tonight’s 7.30pm Fantasy Premier League deadline has been collected and collated over in our Team News section, along with our predicted lineups.

We will update this as we go, keeping you informed on the latest via our Twitter feed.

The Scout Picks are up next…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

berbatov will start this weekend. Most likely berba and hernandez up top with rooney behind or in midfield with jones at cb due to issues in defence with evans and smalling etc.

berbatov will rip it up, 5 goals last season v blackburn as well

I think Fergie might get over his irrational fear at the thought of it and play Rooney and Berbs together for once.

    Hi guys,

My team is currently lined up as:

    Vorm,
    Wilko, Evans, Enrique,
    Drenthe, Silva, Bale, Nani (c)
    Rooney (v), RVP, Ba
    (Kenny, Surman, Walker, Ralyor)

I am definitely going to use two transfers next week, so would ideally like to save it this week. If I were to make a change it would be Evans to Shotton, but would effectively be for a 4 point hit - any thoughts?

Thank you in advance as always.

Whats to say Rooney is guaranteed his start?

Its not like they needed him against Wigan, and Blackburn are just as poor as them.

Tough games coming up in the near future, I can see game time again (30 minutes or so), but I wouldn't say hes a nailed on starter.

his hgihest price was something between 14.5 or 14.

winning the golden boot 4 times explains how good he was...

He was CRon before CRon. 14.0, I believe.

As you said yourself, didn't do a lot against top 4 teams. I remembering him whinging when they lost CL final to Barca too. Should have shown a bit of humility I thought.Scored a lot of goals and a lot of assists but was in a class Arsenal team. Might have scored plenty of goals but not as classy as Bergkamp. Relied on his pace which hase waned over the years. If he was still good he wouldn't be playing in the MLS. I've watched bits of the MLS games, no better than the lower Scottish Prem I reckon.Van Persie and and improving Gervinho will mean he won't play too much in his 2 months with the Gunners. I'm kinda biaised because of the handball against us but seriously reckon that's one of the few things he ever did for his team in a big game!

Ok you lovely people, help me make my only pending decision.

    The situation:
defence of Evans, Jones, Enrique (BAE, McAuley)

1 FT with 0.4 in bank.

Do I a) transfer evans out to ensure i have another 'safe' playing defender just in case

Or b) just keep the free to give me 2 next week.

I had just planned on being different next week and doing Mata to VDV, giving me BAE, Bale and VDV. However, with VDVs marsmallow legs is it safer to keep the 2 in case i need to wangle Ade in instead?

Would you? Ah ok. Mind you, Evans not playing will prob mean BAE and Enrique play anyway.

Anyone think Silva might be on for a rest? Personally wouldn't mind having both Nani and Valencia this weekend but I'd have to sell Silva for Valencia.
