Arsene Wenger is giving little away regarding the likelihood of Robin Van Persie’s start against QPR. Meanwhile, Alex Ferguson prepares to patch up his defence once again ahead of the visit of Blackburn, with Chris Smalling set to miss out and Phil Jones in line to return.

There’s no such injury concerns for Roberto Mancini, who will surely be shuffling his pack like a demented Paul Daniels ahead of two matches in the space of six days. The rest of the Premier League managers are left to play with far more limited options, but Fantasy managers still look set to enter a gameweek of uncertainty – nervously scanning their bench to assess the reserves on standby.

      Cheers. Yeah, I got him in a couple of weeks ago and was only planning to hold him for the wildcard, and then he started getting subbed off every game. I have to play him for the DGW now that I have him, but he's going out right after. Guess he's sitting on the bench this week.

        agree, however, i think wenger will provide RVP with an opportunity to match/beat the record. Its potentially a one time opportunity.

        On the reverse side, if he is rested, i would hope that he isnt used at all.

    I'm still stuck with the out of favour Barnett in my defense (in the short term at least)and it was him that came on for De Laet in the last game, but doesn't seem to be included in the Scout's proposed lineup for this game. Do canaries fans agree that this'll be the case?

    Milner could be Nasri or something. Kun and Silva could be rested IMO. They are needed for the Liv game surely, If he opts for Nasri for the Liv game that means him on the bench this time.

    for all the shotton loves up there, i think pennant will start against wigan, as for the remaining RB spot i dnt think pulis will play someone as limited defensively as shotton against the likes of moses and gomes
