Arsene Wenger is giving little away regarding the likelihood of Robin Van Persie’s start against QPR. Meanwhile, Alex Ferguson prepares to patch up his defence once again ahead of the visit of Blackburn, with Chris Smalling set to miss out and Phil Jones in line to return.

There’s no such injury concerns for Roberto Mancini, who will surely be shuffling his pack like a demented Paul Daniels ahead of two matches in the space of six days. The rest of the Premier League managers are left to play with far more limited options, but Fantasy managers still look set to enter a gameweek of uncertainty – nervously scanning their bench to assess the reserves on standby.

All the team news ahead of tonight’s 7.30pm Fantasy Premier League deadline has been collected and collated over in our Team News section, along with our predicted lineups.

We will update this as we go, keeping you informed on the latest via our Twitter feed.

The Scout Picks are up next…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Why is he safer? If anything, Nani's a bigger risk of not starting this week.

            Agreed, with the Valencia call.

I just think Wenger would lose all control/respect if he didn't give Glass Man the chance to tie/break Shearer's record. RVP is a must start, imo.

Thinking of dumping Nani for Valencia this GW in order to do a dub sub without penalty for the DGW coming up ... i.e

Ba -> Ade and Ward -> Tottenham/Everton defender

    OR

should I keep Nani in and then take a 4pt hit next game week to fund above?

    My head hurteth!

id say keep nani in yes, as valencia will almost likely be playing right back as so many defensive injuries for SAF

No. Wenger can't afford to annoy him and see him leave.

Trying to resist making a change - can't see anything obvious other than getting rid of Given and that can wait, happy to play Vorm this week. Unless Lindegaard were to be playing?

Also, would you start Shotton or Kompany? Not much between them on clean sheet odds.

Being a young lad doesn't mean he can't have been the worst RB this season.

Silva or Mata to Bale? Had Silva since start, so will lose money. No other city coverage, have Sturridge

    Sorry, lost/ignored on the last page ;

I’m slowly recovering after having the Christmas stuffing knocked out of me with a 35 point GW…..so here’s my plan, is it a good one?

    Howard (Vorm)
    BAE, Wilkinson, Jones (McAuley, Brown)
    Silva, Nani, Walters, Drenthe (Formica)
    RVP (vc), Rooney (c), Sturridge

Save my transfer and then do Rooney to Adebayor and Walters to Bale (for the DGW)

    Bale Nani (c) Silva
    Ade RVP Sturridge

    subs: Ruddy Drenthe Simpson Dyer

and another below 50 pts on the way ?!? 😀
