You might have noticed that Fantasy Football Scout has continued to grow this season. Hopefully, this will continue into next term and, with ideas and plans forming week on week, I’ve decided it’s time to look to add at least one new member to our team of contributors.

We’re looking for a writer to join Sir Paulos’ editorial team – someone who can commit their time and enthusiasm to the site, take charge of a section and make it there own. Hopefully someone who can grow with us and help us into another exciting season of development.

Ideally we’re looking for someone who…

  • Has a knowledge and passion, not just for Premier League football but for Fantasy Football. You will have opinions and be able to back them up with enthusiasm.
  • Is willing to volunteer and contribute their passion and their time to become an invaluable member of a growing editorial team.
  • Has good, strong writing skills with the ability to produce tight, entertaining editorial – in line with the house style, but with a twist of personality.
  • Is available to contribute opinions throughout the week and at weekends, helping to shape decisions and editorial direction within the Scout team.
  • Is available to contribute articles on a weekly basis and be prepared to take charge of an established section of the site, making it their own and working in collaboration with the team to grow it further.

If you feel you’d like to put yourself forward for this role, please send a short summary of yourself, along with a sample of your writing to writers@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

If you don’t have any samples of writing available, please supply a Watchlist article – of a player of your choice, written to our template, an example of which can be found here.

This process is typically lengthy and it’s likely that Sir Paulos and I will be looking at applications from now right through until the end of January. Please be patient with us, we will try to get back to applicants as soon as possible and we will keep you up to date with the process via the site as we go.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

i have a rival who's benched Assou-Ekotto for the DGW which is a bit weird but if smalling doesn't play Assou-Ekotto will come off the bench

my question is will he also be counted for the Everton game if he replaces smalling or will he be put back on the bench because he wasn't picked in the starting Xl for the DGW

    anyone know?

if he gets counted for both games but not origonally picked then that's a bit sh*t

I say we start a campaign to bring back RBJ Dallas/ Dirty Den style.

However, if he's been locked up then we could do it Deidre style off Corrie and get the PM involved.

That guy is a legend and could start a fight in an empty forum.

Yeah for his price, not much better than Simpson especially if you got him at 4.0. Just realised that Williamson could be an option at 4.2, more attacking threat than Simpson (corners).

There aren't consistent cleanies anywhere except the ones you mentioned really, and even then, United's defence is in tatters, 'pool miss Lucas. The only ones I'd consider doubling on are City, Swansea and Utd if they get everyone back except Vidic (and that's only because Jones plays oop and Evans is so cheap). Fulham, with 7 cleanies, are worth a look when they have good fixtures. Also they rotate well with Swansea so Vorm/Schwarzer will probably be my GK pairing for most of the rest of the season. Senderos also great value if he keeps playing.

    Draft 4, RMWCT, hehe:

    Vorm, Sorenson
    Jones, Richards, Enrique, Simpson, Caulker
    Silva, Bale, Valencia, Walters, Sess
    RVP, Aguero, Yak

Was thinking maybe Fletcher instead of the Yak, but I guess as a possible bench warmer (not sure how Yak rotates with Sess or Walters), you need a 90 min, week in week out player.

Not so many CS this season. Pick 2 or 3 defenders from the good CS teams and a good attacking fullback. Rumor has it that Ciaran Clark is playing in midfield for Villa, bit of a longshot as he's not guaranteed his place and Villa are a bit ropey!

very very nice - Lindegaard instead of Moreira and play Lind every week?
Benching one Yak/Walters/Sess WILL be painful every week but who cares!

I'm going to give this application a go and if it works out great and if it doesn't then I can at least know I tried 🙂

Best time for Wild card GW 23 or 24 ?

GW 23 has evening fixtures midweek meaning starting 11's for Man U, CHE , LIV , SPURS and ARS games will be known before the deadline.
These games are on 31st which means real transfer window will be open for a few hours after game although surely all business will be tied up by then.

GW 24 Real transfer deadline will have passed and a clearer picture of future line ups will be known.

    Thoughts.....

Still think its best to wait till GW24 and activate in those couple of hours. It will allow you to take note of any deadline day transfers. It could also be too hard to make quick adjustments to a WC team with a 30 minute window once the teams are announced GW23. I wouldn't take that slight advantage to be of any significance

Just watched the tottenham game , two thoughts

    1) BAE was the best player on the park, agreed?

    2) I can now see why VDV always subbed early. After sixty minutes he dissapears

All the mugs who have dumped Silva in the last few weeks , you must be already starting to regret it?

AND hats off to all you (few) managers like myself who have had Sessegnon in your squads since GM1

Just a shame everyone else now going to jump on the Sess bandwagon , hes been a great differential last few weeks

Agree with the BAE assessment. Transferred him this week so perhaps my spectacles ha a rouge coloured tinge but he was very good

    Latest WC draft:

    Lindegaard/Vorm
    Richards/Kelly/Shotton/Simpson/McAuley
    Silva/Bale/Valencia/Dempsey/Moses
    RVP/Aguero/Morison

Defence is a bit weak, but could be enough there to rotate.
