As promised, half-season memberships to Fantasy Football Scout are now available for just £10. These will give access to the Members Area and all Members content up until June 1 2012.

If you’ve already got a “Free” account, you can upgrade to a Member via this link. If you’ve yet to register an account with us, you can use this link to register as a member. All payments are made via Paypal. We do also accept cheques and postal order sign-ups, but obviously these are not instant. You can get details on submitting these at the bottom of this page.

For details on the Members benefits, take a look at this breakdown. We’ve also created a new FAQ and “How To” page to help new and existing Members get more out of the content available. Click here to view this.

Our Half Season Player Projections, offering our view on player returns from Gameweek 21 onwards, are due to go live this afternoon – these are on our test servers and getting a final once over before publish. Look out for a post on those later today.

We’ve also got a new Members article on the way this evening – the first by our new guest writer. More on that later.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

rooney will continue to play in midfield = less points.
enrique crosses will wasted + tuff fixtures, fewer cs = less points.

Rvp + Silva will continue getting points till they are injured or rested.

As to who will explode.. No idea about that.. time will tell.

But I think Vorm will get more save points than Sorenson, and Shotton is playing OOP. So its worth the extra 0.5.

Amount of clean sheets, yes. But you can be sure Vorm gets more points (saves, penalty saves) than Caulker. Shotton & Sorensen is more or less the same. Shotton might even edge it in his favor if he continues to get bonus and starts to get attacking points.

I think its worth it. Joined for the first time this year and have had my best season. Very handy to look at the opta stats to look at goal threat etc. Also nice to get the bonus predictions.

Its particularly good if you are deliberating over two players.

only if one of the other two have a good fixture. the odds of a clean sheet for top teams are rarely over 50% let alone the lesser teams. even when the teams do face each other, those 3 are still worth playing for their attacking points

looks OK. might be concerned about Lindegaard's game time which means Sorensen may come off your bench at awkward moments (in GW23).

    Henry:
    - 7.5m
    - Only needs one chance to score
    - Bound to play some part in every game, and if not an auto-sub will kick in
    - Looks f*cking epic on your team

Any takers? It's a wild wild punt, but the man doesn't need long to score.

    reply to Doosra

HBA is 24 mate. With regards to Cabaye, I concur and many would suggest that he has become integral to Newcastle's prominence this season, and with good reason. I found this some time ago on a Newcastle fan's forum, it makes interesting reading, although I can't help but think that Cabaye works the 'hard yards' for the Toon. IMHO (not so humble sometimes...sorry) he will outscore Cabaye in the coming weeks:

    "Newcastle v Blackburn
Yohan Cabaye was the Newcastle United player to cover the most ground (12,106m/7.52miles) against Blackburn, followed by Cheik Tiote (11,612m/7.22miles)

    Wolves v Newcastle
Yohan Cabaye and Cheik Tiote topped the charts for distance covered again with 11.7km and 12.1km respectively

    Newcastle v Spurs
Midfield duo Yohan Cabaye (7.5 miles) and Cheik Tiote(7.05 miles) covered the most ground of any Newcastle player during the game again proving they are playing a huge part in the Toon Army’s unbeaten start to the season

    Newcastle V Wigan
Cabaye (7.04 miles) and Tiote (6.87 miles) covered more distance during the game than any other Newcastle player. Both players also had the highest average speed during the game for Newcastle with Cabaye averaging 5.46mph and Tiote 5.04mph.

Tiote and Cabaye are the 2nd and 3rd hardest working players in the Premier League, having covered 72.12 km and 71.85 km respectively in the league so far, behind only Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey. Cabaye has the 4th highest tackle success rate with a 65% success rate from his 43 tackles. When interviewed by Sky Sports ahead of the Tottenham home game both Ryan and Steven Taylor singled out French midfielder Yohan Cabaye as the player they have been most impressed by this season.

    Top 10 Premier League Partnerships

3 - Scott Parker and Luka Modric
2 - David Silva and Sergio Aguero
1 - Yohann Cabaye and Chiek Tiote

Not that many teams play 4-4-2 these days. The fashion is to pack the midfield to ensure control of possession, and therefore control the game. This is clearly most efficiently done in a variant of a 4-5-1 formation, giving yourself an extra man in the middle to do some extra work. Of course, Newcastle don't actually have to play three in midfield, because they have Cabaye and Tiote. EA Sports, who are doing the Premier League's statistics these days, run a 'Team of the Week' on their website, and whichever poor whelp has to write the thing must be getting terribly bored, because every week they seem to write 'Cabaye covered the most ground, followed by Tiote.' The pair usually get through 14 miles a game between them. 14 miles. That's...well, it's a long way. In more ways than one, they're the central reason that Newcastle's season has started so damned well."

Tiote could be a big loss to the Toon

Really? Everton have two decent fixtures coming up and its only for two weeks. If I leave the money in defence I can afford vermaelen and kompany without a hit. Also quite set on Helguson as qpr cover for some great fixtures.
