As the papers speculate over the January sales, and the yuletide shocks and shockers grow distant in memory, the Fantasy Flutter is back.

For those of you new to the Scout, and for those of you who partook in a little too much of the festivities to remember, we take a crisp ten pound note and spread it over Paddy Power’s special markets – all bets inspired by our Scout Pick selection and Fantasy thinking…

The Baggies host Norwich this weekend with the visitors boasting an unflattering record of zero clean-sheets in twenty matches, a claim shared with only relegation favourites Blackburn Rovers. For Peter Odemwingie, this looks like a fantastic opportunity to help claw West Brom away from the bottom three. Paddy are posting a reasonable 13/5 for the Nigerian to score and West Brom to win, but go big at 9/1 for him to score and assist – he’s achieved this one in his best return of the season back in Gameweek 17 at Newcastle. We’ll take £2 on Odemwingie pulling this off again with the obliging Canaries in town.

Clint Dempsey’s Fulham are another club featuring in the lower divide, but they do at least appear to be on the ascent. With real quality in the squad, Fulham might have been expected to be comfortably placed in the top ten by this point of the campaign. Two home matches follow today’s visit to Blackburn, giving Martin Jol’s side a chance to take a giant stride away from the danger zone. Dempsey is gelling well with the trickery of Mousa Dembele and the flair of Bryan Ruiz and the American will be looking to add to his six-goal haul this weekend. With Paddy’s odds looking inviting, Scout Pick Dempsey could yet put a bit of cash in our pockets. Dempsey to score and Fulham to win at Ewood at 7/2 takes £4 of our tenner in this week’s top bet.

Newcastle’s Hatem Ben Arfa is yet to get a shake of the dice since coming back from that crushing broken leg. Understandably, Alan Pardew has been reluctant to make changes to his Newcastle’s line-up, but with African Cup of Nations absentees and an increasing list of injuries, Ben Arfa looks set to be handed a stage to demonstrate his talents. As he’s fairly unproven, Paddy are offering 12/1 on a goal and assist at home to QPR, but we’re going to go safe and take a Ben Arfa goal and Newcastle to win at 12/5 for £2.50.

Our ‘who will score the most’ market this week features Wayne Rooney, fresh from a thrilling cup derby, Emmanuel Adebayor looking to win back some friends following a double Gameweek dry spell and Blackburn’s saving grace, Yakubu. The odds all shout home fixtures, so there’s nothing to jump up and down about, but, following his header at City, we’ll back Scout Pick Wayne Rooney at 6/5 to outscore the other pairing for our remaining £1.50.

Money Back Special

Paddy’s refund special backs this season’s Fantasy darling. If Robin van Persie scores the last goal at the Liberty when Arsenal take on Swansea, Paddy will refund all losing first and last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Vorm. Ruddy

    Jones. BAE. Simpson. Enrique. Wilkinson
    Silva. Bale. Sinclair. Walters. Johnson
    RVP. Ade. Ba

2.5m in bank with just 1 FT

Was thinking of Ba to Studge.

tweedle im in the same boat as you on the captain choices :/

why would you choose nani? or why would you choose Bale?

Im thinking nani: United have had 2 poor games, but the game against Bolton they wount loose, if one man can turn things around its Fergie. But I dont think they will hammer Bolton with 5 goals, i think maybe 2 goals and they want to keep that clean sheet. And being a United fan I know Nani is not pleased with his performance and wants to turn things around!

Im thinking bale: Wolves has a more horrible back four than the Estonian girls national team. But one man keeps it a bit together and that is hennessy. (most saves in PL). But Tottenham are playing such good football at the time i think wolves dont stand a chance. Maybe 3 or 4 goals here. With RVV in form, Bale in form, Lennon back, and ade up top I can't see how Bale will go goal-less or assist-less of white hart lane this gameweek. BUT it could happen..

      whats your take on this?

If you bench McClean it isn't.

He'll be on my bench. It's either McClean or Moses who will fill out the cheap midfielder spot on my team

Depends on your formation. If it involves 4 in the middle you are forced to play a Sunderland player every week. If it's three in the middle then it's ok.

I always play 3-4-3, so I'm always playing a Sunderland player. But having McClean saves me .3 (since I had Moses) to use anywhere and with McClean playing in a invigorated team, he could be more likely to get amongst the points.

Should I get Valencia in for Osman for a hit.

If Jones will not play I only have Drenthe coming of the bench.

    So the question is really:

Valencia in for Jones for a hit?

Considering bringing Valencia in for a hit as well and I have Nani. Doing my WC next week anyway.

Still same changes to be done. Now rolling with:

    Ruddy
    Simpson - Enrique - Richards - BAE
    Bale - SIlva - Valencia
    Rooney (C) - Yak - RVP

    Vorm, Sess, Caulker, Ferguson.

I'm already regretting Sturridge -> Yak...

Ruddy is fail. Only reason he should be in your team is to free up some funds and ride your bench.

Need some help on my team before the deadline!

    Vorm

    Enrique - jones - BAE

    Bale - Nani - Donovan - Walters

    RVP - Ade - Sturrigde

Hennssey - Simpson - Caulker - Osman (in that order)

Thinking about switching Osman for Milner, Ben Arfa maybe? any suggestions? Selling Osman gives me 7.9£ in the bank.

I would say I have a strong team this gameweek except Donovan and Walters. But will put Walters on the bench and cheer for Donovan. Or? 🙂

Milner well that's a differential as everyone is talking about Valencia however you already have Nani so I can understand.
