A busy Saturday on the tightrope saw plenty of jostling for position in the rogues gallery with yellow cards for a number of familiar faces, and a significant red for long term Fantasy favourite, Yakubu.

Now into his tenth season in English football, the portly Nigerian has been as much a constant in the goalscoring charts as he has been absent from the disciplinary ones. However, guilty of planting a full set of studs on Danny Murphy’s knee in the 3-1 win over Fulham, ‘The Yak’ duly picked up his first Premier League red and will now sit out the next three Gameweeks (eve, NEW, ars).

In the yellow card stakes, Yakubu’s teammate Jason Lowe still leads the way having picked up 8 cautions in his first 19 games for the club, but with 3 games in the New Year now completed without adding to that tally he’s seen John Terry last week, and now Lee Cattermole draw level with him, following his booking in the 1-0 loss at Chelsea. All three now sit just 2 cards away from a two-match ban.

Yellow cards also for Everton’s Marouane Fellaini and Wolves’ Karl Henry bring them into the mix forming a fearsome quartet with Joey Barton and Gary Caldwell on 7 yellows for the season, while new faces joining the growing band on 6 bookings were Chelsea pair, David Luiz and Raul Meireles and the Stoke captain, Ryan Shawcross.

GAMEWEEK 22 BANS

  • Yakubu Aiyegbeni (BLA) – 1 Red for serious foul play (first of 3 matches)
  • Luis Suàrez (LIV) – FA charge (fifth of 8 matches)
  • Vincent Kompany (MCI) – 1 Red for serious foul play (third of 4 matches)

Sturridge has 9 goals in the FPL so far, hardly noobish, especially for a starting price of 6.5...

But to oyur question Rambo I'd look at Fletcher or Morison. Fletcher edges it for me; 8, 8, 4, 6 in the last 4 games

I think you should get rid of Adebayor if you have Bale or VDV if not then keep him. I feel like Adebayor is like Nani who has a big week all of a sudden when you don't expect it. And as for Kompany, do a straight switch to Richards.

yes thought about tores but not gna use a 4pt hit to get him in week before wc
        possibly ade to bent
btw i am wildcarding after gw 22 so this will just be a one week punt
soccerplayer i already have bale and bae from spurs, and tbh im leaning towards selling ade as he is missing next week and then spurs fixtures get crap. so any reason not to go ade to bent?

You have 5 defenders for an average price of 4.0 each, thats eother very brave or very stupid, possibly both. And you have Ferguson. But the attack's good. Though i wouldn't captain torres, he could be a good differential, but Captain?

He can show form but if you are going with 2 big hitters like RVP and Aguero why spend the money on Bent when Fletcher and Morison have been scoring consistently all season. And they are 3 million less.

I just have a hunch Bent will do well over the next few months. Fletcher is very frustrating. Often scores against the top teams and not the lower table teams. Morrison has done well but he only ever scores in 5's and 6's.

No assists for Rooney imo. Welbeck touches the 1st one. Wheater touches the ball last outside the box so no assist. Giggs is actually the last United player to touch it.

      Two things:

I'd go for a GK duo that rotates better than Vorm/Krul.

I'd reconsider BAE as Spurs have a terrible run of fixtures.

This is true but it's not the most cost efficient option if you're buying Krul at 5.0. I'd rather pair Krul/Mignolet or Vorm/Sorensen just to save the money.

In his case since he already has Vorm, it would logically be Vorm/Sorensen. An extra .6 saved would go a long way for me.
