Crazy times. The midweek deadline stretched our resources to the limit as the teamsheets caused a frenzy around the 7.30 deadline. We remain alive and kicking, though, and our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to take us into the action.

Hopefully your final tweaks were submitted in time and now you can sit back and take in the action, shaing the anguish and joy with your Fantasy Football peers in real-time.

The teamsheets are interesting to say the least. United are forced to hand Ben Amos his debut with both Anders Lindegaard and David De Gea unavailable and Stoke have laid down the gauntlet – both Kenwyne Jones and Peter Crouch start. Elsewhere at Old Trafford, Danny Welbeck makes way for Dimitar Berbatov, while Paul Scholes comes into the midfield.

Andre Villas-Boas keeps Gary Cahill on the bench at the Liberty, despite the absence of John Terry. Jose Bosingwa starts then, with Branislav Ivanovic partnering David Luiz. Swansea recall their regular first teamers in opposition.

Everton choose to star with Tony Hibbert at centre-back and he’ll be up against Sergio Aguero who returns to the City lineup, along with Vincent Kompany.

Gareth Bale is safely nestled in the Spurs lineup as he overcomes a thigh injury to start. He lines up alongside Niko Kranjcar who is given a rare start.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

To sum up Spurs' transfer dealings:

    - Unsuccessful in improving the starting 11 (considering its quite coveted, that's not a major surprise to be fair)
    - Successful in trimming the squad
    - Removed Corlula RB/cb and Bassong CB/lb. Replaced with seasoned CB backup Nelsen
    - New RB rank: Walker, Kaboul, Gallas
    - New CB rank: King, Kaboul, Dawson, Gallas, Nelsen
    - Removed surplus midfielder (Pienaar)
    - Removed unhappy ineffective forward. Replaced with injury prone ineffective forward.
    - New FW rank: Adebayor, VDV, Defoe, Saha

Nice summary. Don't understand still why he got Saha. Defoe doesn't get played much as it is, what hope for Saha? Saha also would be in the running for "makes biggest mockery of term striker" title. Been awful, what's he done for Everton? He'll just sit on the bench.

Seeing as they're both on short-term deals, I'm pretty sure Saha and Nelson are just there as emergency back-ups until the end of the season.

Due to their recent form, I reckon most folk took that Swansea v Chelsea result for granted today almost

But it wasn't nine years ago that the Swans were in the bottom rung of league football, dieing on their arse, nearly out of business, while Chelsea were already in the Premier and had just been bought by one of the richest people in the world about to embark on one of the biggest football spending sprees in history

And yet the latter were lucky to get a draw today against the former. Incredible stuff

You might have been better assigning +1 = easy, 0 = ok, and -1 = hard then you could have done a sum total at the end for each player

As it is, this is too complicated for my brain at this time of night

A lot of people me included lost Sinclair and Dyer before they exploded. Looking for a short term replacement before Sunderland get a good run of fixtures again.

Sinclair is on pens and has scored lots too... also seems to be doing it in open play. Ox looks likely to keep playing for me until Gervinho or Wilshere return. Not enough competition. Lots of promise but I wonder if he'll produce?

    Morning all!

Would love any opinions on the 2 options going through my head right now-

    Krul/ Ruddy
    Jones/ Skertel/ Kelly/ McAulely/Williamson
    Silva/Bale/ Murphy/ Sess/ Valencia
    RVP/Aguero/ Helgusson.

    Option 1
    Skertel to Richards
    Sess to Buzaky
    Helgusson to Ba/ Zamora

    Option 2
    Jones to Richards
    Sess to Buzaky
    Helgusoon to Ba/ Zamora

Actually after typing that out it comes to getting rid of Jones or Skertel for Richards!

Would like general opinion on Ba vs Zamora. I am thinking of taking a punt on Zamora for a few weeks, need to catch up 40 odd points and recon league leader will have Ba in now.

Long term will get Jones back if if sell now

    Thanks all

id get kompany instead of richards if possible, and this is coming from a richards owner. Constantly battling injury.

zamora a bit of an unknown quantity with QPR. i usually wouldnt jump on him without seeing the new situation play out a little, but the fixtures are attractive. id spend a little more and upgrade buzsaky.

Pretty solid mate, just a few points to think about maybe-

      Liverpool fixtures not great
      Sunderland fixtures not great
Personally wouldnt go Sturridge, Chelsea so poor right now.

Enrique to Evans frees up cash and I am getting rid of Sess, u have mclean as a cheap option to cover Sunderland. So by saving money on Enrique and with that 1.2 maybe Valencia in for Sess?

Just started on WC and am definitely letting go of Enrique, Shotton, and most likely BAE. May go with Evans but Man U's fixtures are not great. Sturridge is ready to go too and may bring in Zamora and the bridge to someone else if I want - Ba, Bent.... Plan was to bring in Valencia for Sess in 2or3 weeks

I'd prefer Ba to Sturridge and having put Shotton in my WC team last week was disappointed he didn't play last night.

Had Ba before and could well be happy to again. Just wondering if there is anyone in similar price range to give better returns for a couple of weeks first

the reason I don't want silva or bale, is that I can only have 3 city players, and since TOT are entering a run of bad fixtures it seems counter productive to get him in now.

    gooooood morning.

was hoping i would wake up to see spurs had stolen Samba. Maybe 'arry was a little dazed and saw the name Saha and thought it said Samba. Oh well, some decent depth brought in, some fat trimmed off.

In more important news, Captain Bale FTW!!!!!!!!!!

Just spotted this. In 23 GWs Welbeck has only 12 starts and 5 sub appearances. But his starts include:
TOT liv MCI eve ARS. Clearly Ferguson trusts him in the big games. Might he play against Chelsea's ropey defence?

Hello whats the news about Ethrington?? I am thinking about bringing him into my WC team in place of Walters with all the tasty Stoke fixtures, and it is clear that Walters have a dip in form..

Ethrington was on the bench last night but did not come on..His chances of starting all the upcoming Home fixtures??

evans for defense, valencia for offense are the only united i see worth investing in right now. fixtures arent good enough to spend any more on a defender, and attack points are coming from random sources every game, except for valencia.

Valencia and easy sell for me. Evans less so. You think there are clean sheets in that defense over the next 4 games?

first it was next 6, now it is next 4? 🙂

the fixtures arent great, but chelsea attack is about as scary as west brom's right now.

i just think its good to store evans if on wc, even if he doesnt get a ton of use short term. hes still a great value and bench option. united will get a cs or two in the next 4-6 i would bet.

4 point hit for a keeper isn't a good deal.
