Stephane Sessegnon produced again in Wednesday’s thrashing of Norwich, just as he did against Swansea in Gameweek 22. It was the goal and an assist returns from that that game that came in for us at 5/1 last time out, fuelling our efforts for this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

Sergio Aguero was amongst the City side frustrated by the Goodison rearguard on Tuesday, but we perhaps shouldn’t read too much into another blank from the Argentinian. As a rule, Aguero saves his goals for home matches and with three in four Gameweeks to come, Fantasy managers are preparing for increased profits. Those could start flowing against Fulham this weekend. Paddy post a confident yet short 4/5 on Aguero to score and City to win against Martin Jol’s side, however, 21/10 on a brace for £5 offers just a little more reward for our risk.

Robert Huth was a monster last season, converting six goals, a tally which made him a hot Fantasy property and led to a significant price rise going into this term. Huth has found it difficult to live up to that reputation, however, with goals hard to come by, despite posing a significant threat in recent weeks. Paddy are offering 14/1 on the big German to deliver a goal and Stoke to keep Sunderland out at the Britannia – that’s worth a cheeky quid of our money.

Victor Moses was squeezed out of the Scout Picks this week, but, as today’s Watchlist article reveals, the fixture list offers hope that the Latics man will start to turn his potential into points over the next few weeks. Despite Everton holding firm against Roberto Mancini’s league leaders at bay in midweek, the Latics are fighting for survival and with Hugo Rodallega set to return to offer a sharper cutting edge, Moses and Wigan could be good for a goal or two. Paddy aren’t so sure and have been generous here, offering 8/1 on a Moses goal and Wigan to win, with a Moses goal and assist double at 18/1. As the anytime odds for Moses are rarely better than 7/2 across the board, 8/1 for £2 is a no brainer.

Our triple treat – the “who’s score the most goals” special is back on the menu this week with the Scout Picks forward line – Robin Van Persie, Aguero and Demba Ba all vying for our cash. Rather than a quick quip or analytical snippet as per usual, Demba Ba’s return to Newcastle’s line-up and a price of 11/2 requires little justification. Our last two quid is in the hands of the returning Magpies hat-trick hero.

Money Back Special

Paddy have focused on the two big encounters for their Money Back Specials this week. Down at Stamford Bridge, if a penalty is scored in the match between Chelsea and United, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Over at Anfield meanwhile, if Gareth Bale scores anytime for Spurs, Paddy will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single on the game.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

2 free transfers this week but unsure what to do with them.

    Krul (Vorm)
    Santon Huth Skertl (NTaylor) (Kelly)
    Bale Silva Walters Sessegnon (Dempsey)
    RVP Aguero Fletcher

    0.5 in bank.

I'm thinking Skertl to Kompany for one transfer. Anything else? Was thinking of making 2 more (-4) for Walters and Fletch out for Ba and Moses?

    Opinions?

A lot of people will go with Ba, but a 4pt hit is risky with form unknown at the moment following ACON.

IMO, if you are going to take hit, go for option that could yield you pts. Valencia is in form against a shaky Chelsea defence and one that is without Ashley Cole, if he scores the hit is worth it. If Taiwo only clean sheets, then you gain nothing. Very rarely would I take hit on defender.

you're right i should just play evans who has a decent chance of a cleanie anyway and bench enrique.

valencia i reckon has a chance of points but fixtures are weak, the hit is as much out of frustration at never being get Mata out of my team. can see myself annoyed if he continues his run of form.

Could really use some insight to help make these decisions

    Mignolet (Vorm)
    Richards Simpson ???? (BAE/Evans) (Kelly)
    Bale Sess Valencia Silva (Demps)
    Dzeko RVP(c) Morison

    1 FT, 0.5 in bank

    So:

    Starting the right GK?

Start BAE or Evans? I know everyone and their momma around here wants to kick BAE to the curb, but the guy is great form, he gets involved in the attack. Also, I got him at 5.1.

Next, I love Morison this week. I thought I'd play him and bench Demps. Right call? I could also see Demps rise to the occasion, that's the kind of player he is.

Finally, I could use my FT. I want to get more in the bank to upgrade Dzeko and maybe Morison, thinking Ba or Aguero, just got to figure out how. I could bring in Taiwo this week, for example.

    Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

I'm playing Vorm, I have faith in him. Chelsea look pretty toothless at the moment, so my gut instinct would be to play Evans over BAE. Finally, I'd bench Dempsey against City and play Morison; with Zamora gone it could effect Dempsey's performance up front.

Le Prof played RVP against Fulham after 3 games in 6 days where he played 90 minutes. Needless to say RVP played 90 against Fulham too. Arsenal needs a win badly so I think its safe to C him and even if AW rests him I presume Arsenal would have won the match @ the time he is about to come in as a sub. So RVP(c) all the way and a nice VC would do it.

    Sorenson - Given
    Evens - Simpson - Dawson (Kelly,Brown)

0.6 in bank which looks best?

    A) Dawson out 5.7defender in thinking Clichy/Huth/Koscielny
    B) Brown out 5.1 Defender in Shawcross/Taiwo in
    C) Both out Lescott & 4.2 maybe Santon (-4)
    D) Both out Richards & 4mil in (-4)

    anyone care to help??

Snap, I think I will go for Dempsey just as he will be playing up front. We (Sunderland) don't have a great record at stoke and with mounting injuries, it might be a very difficult game.

Been asked about 1 million times on here and in about 90% of the cases McClean has been the answer.

I'd go for the Kun - more explosive.
