Stephane Sessegnon produced again in Wednesday’s thrashing of Norwich, just as he did against Swansea in Gameweek 22. It was the goal and an assist returns from that that game that came in for us at 5/1 last time out, fuelling our efforts for this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

Sergio Aguero was amongst the City side frustrated by the Goodison rearguard on Tuesday, but we perhaps shouldn’t read too much into another blank from the Argentinian. As a rule, Aguero saves his goals for home matches and with three in four Gameweeks to come, Fantasy managers are preparing for increased profits. Those could start flowing against Fulham this weekend. Paddy post a confident yet short 4/5 on Aguero to score and City to win against Martin Jol’s side, however, 21/10 on a brace for £5 offers just a little more reward for our risk.

Robert Huth was a monster last season, converting six goals, a tally which made him a hot Fantasy property and led to a significant price rise going into this term. Huth has found it difficult to live up to that reputation, however, with goals hard to come by, despite posing a significant threat in recent weeks. Paddy are offering 14/1 on the big German to deliver a goal and Stoke to keep Sunderland out at the Britannia – that’s worth a cheeky quid of our money.

Victor Moses was squeezed out of the Scout Picks this week, but, as today’s Watchlist article reveals, the fixture list offers hope that the Latics man will start to turn his potential into points over the next few weeks. Despite Everton holding firm against Roberto Mancini’s league leaders at bay in midweek, the Latics are fighting for survival and with Hugo Rodallega set to return to offer a sharper cutting edge, Moses and Wigan could be good for a goal or two. Paddy aren’t so sure and have been generous here, offering 8/1 on a Moses goal and Wigan to win, with a Moses goal and assist double at 18/1. As the anytime odds for Moses are rarely better than 7/2 across the board, 8/1 for £2 is a no brainer.

Our triple treat – the “who’s score the most goals” special is back on the menu this week with the Scout Picks forward line – Robin Van Persie, Aguero and Demba Ba all vying for our cash. Rather than a quick quip or analytical snippet as per usual, Demba Ba’s return to Newcastle’s line-up and a price of 11/2 requires little justification. Our last two quid is in the hands of the returning Magpies hat-trick hero.

Money Back Special

Paddy have focused on the two big encounters for their Money Back Specials this week. Down at Stamford Bridge, if a penalty is scored in the match between Chelsea and United, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Over at Anfield meanwhile, if Gareth Bale scores anytime for Spurs, Paddy will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single on the game.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Demi you aren't right. Last time when everybody thought that he would be rested and captained Nani like myself he started and scored it was against QPR I think, cause of the record. And then after the deadline there was an article on the official site that he will face QPR. When this kind of article popped up before he was rested.

Yeah that's what i mean. Prior to the article, lots thought he would be rested and were wary about giving him the armband. The article then came out after the deadline saying RVP will play vs QPR.

I would point out that the last time Wenger talked on about Van Persie being rested was during the festive period before they played Wolves and QPR. In the end, Van Persie played both games. I think Van Persie will get game time tomorrow - my feeling is he'll get an hour and then be hauled off if Arsenal are a couple of goals up.

van persie (C). part of my reasoning is that i know rivals will captain rvp and won't see this news, therefore if he explodes i'm covered, rather than getting a horrid 2pter from aguero and watching my less addicted mates laugh it up

    Soronsen
    Simpson Huth Richards
    Walters Sess Bale Silva(v)
    Ba Aguero Rvp(c)

    Subs: Schwarzer Siggy Evans Senderos

Not sure whether it's a good idea to play Soronsen, Huth and Walters as well as Sessegnon.
    Thoughts? 🙂

A difficult one, doubling up on stoke defence risky IMO with Sunderland current form but wouldnt want to play Ful instead. If main rivals all have Sess too and likely to play him then doesn't matter if he has a poor gw.

jumping the gun on both of those imo, if i were you i'd do one or the other.

taiwowagon is already trundling, everyone seems to be forgetting QPR arent reliable for CS (yet) and we don't actually know for sure he's gonna be playing LW. i'd hold on a couple of games.

fletcher->zamora an option for you? how much you got in the bank?

assume both are FT's if you did, definitely would take hit for this. IMO focus on attack rather than defence as can see CS's being a premium this gw

Is having both Silva and Aguero too much attacking city cover? (I have Kompany as well)

I think Silva and Aguero is a quasi-must for the time being. Especially with their upcoming league fixtures.

If you have Aguero then keep but if not then v difficult, way off form but i think he may do something stupid like a hatrick this weekend (hope not as i was going to get him but decided against it )

I don't have him, but I'm on WC so thinking of bringing him in for my temporarily Zamora (but then I have to downgrade either Silva, Valencia, Sessegnon, Bale or Dempsey). Difficult!!!

Could Wenger bench Henry for the Blackburn match and only bring him on if he is needed in the 2nd half?

Should I do Mata -> Valencia?

Chelsea’s fixtures look going after this GW and United’s crap… but clearly one player is in better form….

Kompany himself mentioned a minor injury (on goal.com) but felt pretty confident he would be fine. Dunno if there has been any updates after that

I know everybody has the same strikeforce but doesnt it feel good to have RVP, Aguero and Ba upfront. Never been so proud of this line up.

i really doubt rvp be rested. Arsenal havent won in the league for 4 games. No striking options and the last time arsenal played blackburn, they lost 4-3.

Captain choice: RVP now too risky, I don't have Aguero.

Dzeko, Sess, Valencia, I'm thinking one of those? Silva, Bale? Richards?
