Depends what defenders you have already to avoid doubling up. Bardsley. Santon, Simpson, Sendersos, Caulker all seem reasonable for their price.

having watched the newcastle game and having planned to get in ba, i have opted for cisse instead

hmm interesting. I was looking at both, Cisse is affordable, Ba is not right now without a hit, or hoping he doesn't rise past 7.6.

True but worth noting that for most of the 1st half of the season Ba played off Best/Shola and was prolific in that role. Obviously Cisse is a different player to those to in that he's more mobile but wouldn't rule out Ba by any means.
Also Ba wasn't quite up to speed today (nor Cisse) and he'll play much better than today. Cisse could be a good differential though.Open Controls-

Concerned at not having Dempsey, not because everyone in my mini league has him but becasue only a select few do, he’s a bit of a differential and i am chasing. Valencia is also a differential but Dempsey seems more explosive. What do you reckon:
A – Valencia, Sess, Morison -> Dempsey, Siggy, Cisse
B – Sess & Morison -> Siggy & Ba. (Keep Valencia and go without Dempsey)

Good move to me. I want to sell Morison too, but i'll wait for 1 more week to see the Ba+Cisse partnership vs Spurs defence. Have enough to afford either, so don't want the wrong one in a game where i don't think Newcastle will score many. Probably selling Sess this week myself, for Sinclair or Siggy

Ah i take it you were burned by Lambert this weekend aswell then! Yeah, i would prefer Ba but he is getting unbelievably expensive now. Cisse actually looked more threatening today and was definitely playing higher up. Looking to bring Taarabt in for The Ox in the coming weeks, i'll rotate him with Siggy.

Hard to be completely certain, but on today's evidence it does look like Cisse plays more in advance of Ba - so it might actually be a better move to get him. But many, many people have been burnt by basing their transfer strategy on the evidence of one match.
As an example, I've heard it mentioned (though can't remember it myself) that Torres scored a hat-trick once.Open Controls -

He was only added on Feb 1st, though - not sure how that will affect things. Normally (previous seasons) the first 8-10 days were used to determine a players ownership, and then the drop thresholds were created from this 'original' ownership (and in the meantime, the price couldn't change). This might be good news as, if the same is true this year, then he shouldn't go down in price before the next GW. The downside is, of course, that he could drop in price without any warning. My guess? I think you'll be OK.

IMO if your 3rd striker is not a cheapie (Graham/Keane/Fletch) it's gonna be Zamora or Ba/Cisse. It's not an obvious one because Zamora could profit from being the main striker whereas the goals could/will be shared between Ba & Cisse. QPR fixtures are looking good and Newcastle are away to Spurs next GW so I would leave Bobby Z for now.
