With just over an hour to go before the bell tolls on another Fantasy Gameweek deadline, our Matchday Surgery chatroom swings open to welcome the boisterous and the weary, to help guide those last minute decisions.

It’s been a hugely eventful week for me personally – one that has seen me largely absent from my Fantasy Football Scout duties. While it will still be some time before I’m fully back on the job – so to speak – even I’ve found time this week to soak up our coverage to help formulate my Fantasy thinking.

Last night’s Scout Picks, combined with Big Dunc’s differentials this morning, offer our take on the weekend’s key Fantasy targets. Prior to that, the Watchlist provided a mid-term view on prospects to consider – focusing on QPR’s Adel Taarabt and Blakburn’s Yakubu. Our Talent Article for Members, meanwhile, examined the emergence of Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson as a consideration.

With the Team News complied and the Captain Poll concluded, we’ve hopefully armed you with the facts and views of your Fantasy peers, preparing you to step over the white line once again.

Dive into the chatroom to share your wisdom or pluck that last gem of knowledge from the crowd.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Might not help much this week but I think if we look back at captain choices for the year, we'd all probably be better off just leaving it on RVP. Really having 2 RVPs cant be a bad thing.

I would bench McClean and go with Ba. People are arguing that Spurs are tough opposition for Newcastle in The Lane but Ba just needs half a chance and he'll bang it in ie that superb strike against United, plus he's on penos. Just my opinion

    Sunderland v Arsenal

In their last 20 home games, Sunderland have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 7 matches against teams positioned above them in the table.
Sunderland last conceded more than 1 goal at home some 6 games ago.
Sunderland have scored no more than 1 goal in 11 of their last 20 home games, going on to win 1, draw 3 and lose 7 of these matches.

Arsenal have won 30%, drawn 30% and lost 40% of their last 20 away games.
Arsenal have conceded no more than 1 goal in 40% of their last 20 away games.
Arsenal have scored exactly 2 goals in 30% of their last 20 away games.

    Match facts

When the two sides met at the Emirates Stadium, Robin van Persie scored Arsenal's fastest-ever Premier League goal (29 seconds).
Only two of the 14 goals Sunderland have scored against Arsenal in the Premier League era has been netted in the first half.
In the last 15 meetings with Arsenal, Sunderland have alternated with scoring or failing to score; having netted at the Emirates, they should fail to find the net if that run continues.
Arsenal have won none of their last three visits to the Stadium of Light, losing once and drawing twice, conceding one goal in each game.
The Gunners have won just two of their last 12 Premier League visits to play teams in the north east (W2 D8 L2).
Arsenal have won just five of their last 22 away games in domestic competitions (W5 D7 L10).
The Gunners have won one and lost three of their last five Premier League games.
Sunderland have lost just one of their last 10 Premier League home games and won four and lost none of the five since Martin O'Neill took the helm.
The Black Cats have kept three clean sheets in a row at the Stadium of Light. If they keep one in this game, it'll equal their best run since December 2001 when they kept four in a row.
Robin van Persie has scored 40 goals in his last 41 Premier League appearances.

Okay, about to change my captaincy to Bale after it being on Dempsey all week. Here's my reasoning.

Very few, if any in my mini-league have RvP anyway so he's a differential on his own.

I expect my rivals to captain Dempsey.

Bale will be my captain differential!

good luck everybody. going with bale over dempsey. My final dealbreaker was bale's 6 games in 23 this year where he had multiple goals/assists/or at least one of each. dempsey has done this 3 times. bale is more prone to a bigger day methinks. Harry hasnt left morale low at the Lane, defoe and lennon back in support.

    COYS!!!!!!

    and Dempsey!

I'll throw my hat into the ring regarding captaincy choices. Everyone's talking about RvP, Dempsey and Bale but if you're looking for a left-field crazy captain differential look no further than N'gog- the *only* problem being that you'd need to bring him into your team! Otherwise, Rooney is a player I think deserves more mention than he's currently getting. Imo, you can't go too far wrong with RvP, Dempsey or Bale either. I've got Dempsey and van Persie and I'm captaining RvP.
