As Gameweek 27 approaches, 128 fantasy managers are eagerly awaiting news of their third round opponent in the Members Paddy Power Cup II. The waiting is over, as the draw has been made and the 64 fixtures can be viewed right here.

The reigning champ, Kippax Kikkers, has a tricky third assignment against gosh. Although ahead of him in the overall standings, the difference between them is a slender eight points.

Last week’s top-scorer, sandgrounder, may not need to repeat his heroics of round two, as he massively out-ranks his opponent:Garrydoherty84 sits 52,404th in the world, over 44k places behind top 8,000 manager sandgrounder.

The Scout team flag is flying extremely low, as we only have one remaining Contributor left in contention. PureOlivia will be aiming to save some face for us against Hopes Fears Dreams.

I’ll bring you the results of the third round shortly after the Gameweek concludes. Good luck all!

Anyone has suggestions for my little team? I have one FT with practically no available cash.

    Vorm - Mig
    Baines - Williamson - Kompany - Kelly - Clark
    Silva - Bale - Sess - Dempsey - Pilkington
    RVP - Ba - Yak

Assuming that Bale aint playing tomorrow it kinda depends on whether you want to keep him until he's fit or take a chance on someone else.
Baines is holding a lot of cash too.
I'd fancy having a Unite dplayer (Nani or Rooney)a along with a City defender this week.
Otherwise I aint got mant suggestions, apart from BAle';s injury it looks a strong team.

Arr if I knew Bale was definitely out I would do Bale -> Dempsey tonight before he rises in price

Then I need 0.1 more to do Aguero + Richards -> Rooney + Enrique next week

Looks like I'll have to wait

Anyone think I should do it I will only loose 0.3 on Bale? If I don't do Bale->Dempsey tonight I will have to get someone like Adam... or Moses!

Not many options at that price I already have Sess and Valenica

is it crazy to do: aguero to balotelli now and zamora to suarez?

2 reasons: aguero will be rested after playing 90 with argentina, and to gain money to get suarez for 2GW. then going from suarez to rooney

Yep, I picked up Gareth at 7.9 and now it'd cost 9.7 to get him back (I'd recoup 8.8).

If he only sits out on one week I think he's worth holding onto due to Spurs' great run in from about GW34 or so. Also, there's very few midfield options at around that price I'd be interested in (already have Sess, Dempsey and 3 city players).

However, if Bale sits, Vorm sits, Kelly sits, and Aguero is rested my team isn't looking so flash for this week. It'd be:

          Mignolet
          Kompany | Simpson | Enrique | J Evans
          Sess | Dempsey | Silva | Surman
          Ba | RVP

          Dunno what to do.

Im looking at Yaya seriously now, Bales next 4 GWs i could probably cope without him.

Sign him back when i offload Saurez for Ba too???

My team without injured so far..

            Schwarzer
            Rangel/Evans/Kompany/Raylor
            Sess/Dempsey/Silva(c)
            Roo??/Ba/Rvp

What would you do with this generic lot (1 free transfer, 1.8m BANK)?

    Vorm
    Simpson Kompany Taiwo Kelly
    Silva Bale Dempsey
    Ba RVP Aguero

subs - Krul, McClean, Evans, Pilkington.

Just sub in McClean for Bale and save a transfer? Or dump Bale? If i knew Gerrard would play against Arsenal i'd be tempted to bring him in. Would leave me enough cash for Rooney next week too. Doubt we'll hear much else from Kenny on the subject though 🙁

Finally done making my MLS fantasy team. Took forever...
I'm only the 455th person to make a team so far and the season starts in 9 days 😆

Kris Boyd and Thierry Henry up front haha

Makes me realise why i love FPL so much.

Yeah same. I've followed MLS for the past few years but never closely.

Btw, making a team in that is a pain! It seems as if players are either priced really expensive or really cheap.

thought about Juninho for the set-pieces. But he's never gonna in ahead of Becks so I went with Adu instead (remember he was the hottest prospect in world football?) I figured De Rosario was that price for a reason like the MLS version of RvP

Grade one tear is minor. Bale will miss the Everton game in the worst case scenario...he will be healed before then just a matter of match fitness and strengthening the muscle to avoid further damage. Id keep him as it will be a pain in the ass to get him back in a few weeks.

Personally I think we should all look at the source of the Bale news- The Daily Mail one of the worst papers in the world.

    From the article-

'Bale blow for Tottenham with winger set to miss three weeks after hamstring tear'

'Tottenham medical staff have assessed Bale who remains hopeful of playing some part in the clash with United'

'Gareth Bale has torn his hamstring and is a major doubt' ???????????

No quotes, no source, just pure speculation on length of absence

The Mail is such a sensationalist paper, its worse than the Sun as is purports itself as a proper newspaper.

He is probably injured but I would seriously wait to have the length of absence confirmed by other sources before anyone gets rid

I've not seen much of this Pogrebnyak chap at Fulham, but 2 goalsand 5 BPs in 2 games, playing the lone striker role in an attacking Fulham team with great fixtures is very tempting. Add to that he's priced 3.1m cheaper than Dempsey, so it really is worth a closer look. Anyone have any comments on the one they call 'Pog'?

Not sure why you need 2 pool defenders, they could easily be 2 pointer games. Sunderland away and Everton derby, where anything could happen.

Also your mids in B are very much like a punt. Dempsey has good home games for some time, too.

Prefer A if I had to choose, but you need Silva and Kompany for the season

Cheers for the feedback. I always play the fixtures (perhaps too much sometimes), and LIV & MUN have great long term fixtures, whereas MCY don't. Add to that the DGW and there's my reasoning for loading up on LIV players.

I agree with Dempsey having good home games, but if this Pog guy is going to be the main goal getter at Fulham now then the c3m you save swapping them means you can strengthen elsewhere. I'm not convinced yet though, so I'm currently on (A)

I dont think you need Nani AND Rooney

Rooney often dosent feature so much in the easier games , more likely Berbatov Wellbeck or Hernandez claim the points , could keep Aguero just so you have coverage , would Keep Kompany too and just go with one Liv defender

Two man u mids would be interesting option , cheaper than having rooney , Nani and Valencia would also protect you from rotation in the mids , one of them always going to play.

I did consider this. But, I see Valencia being eased back in gently after his injury and probably sharing game time with A Young. Another issue with the MCY forwards is that with Tevez back it really is a rotation nightmare - at least with Rooney there is far more security....

Yeah that's true - he did burn me over the easy games earlier this season!

Having said that, if you are going to take a gamble on MUN, now is the time. Great fixtures and fighting for a title (which they are annoyingly good at). I think Fergie will play his strongest team from here on in. I'll look to bring back the likes of Silva, Bale, Aguero and Ade from GW31 onwards, but for now I can't see them scoring too heavily. Then again, what do I know! 🙂

Haha, morning mate. Putting the race issue aside, do you not think Suarez is still a class player and was pretty unlucky with all the woodwork he hit in the 1st half of the season? I do, and for that reason, I'm taking the gamble. I think he's definitely the best attacking option at Liverpool (not saying much I know), and if he does disappoint again he's an easy swap to Adebayor (pencilled in for GW31 for me)...

No, I don't think he is a class player, and this was before the racism.

I think when you occasionally hit woodwork, it is bad luck. When hit woodwork all the time, its bad finishing. I think Suarez is a poor finisher. I think he did fine in a weak league, but at a tougher level, when he forced to take riskier shots, they are hitting the post because he bottles the finish. In an even more general sense, Liveprool is awful offensively. I think anyone who invests in them is completely insane.

I agree he makes for a good switch to Adebayor, but youre assuming Liverpool will score some goals, and I just don't.

2 weeks ago I would have agreed, but sunderland is falling out of form fast and they have some rough fixtures with newcastle, liverpool, tottenham, and man city in their next 6

Anyone else think its good news that Bale is injured?

Have wanted an excuse to sell him for a few weeks , since Saha arrived the points distribution seems to have moved against Bale

Just a shame Everton or Liverpool dont have any decent investable mids , would make a replacement easy , not really tempted by charlie adam

Agree with you on the Liverpool lack of investable mids. To be honest i think that extends to the whole team. Im hoping my rivals go mad and get loads of pool players in for their double as i can see no clean sheets and not any worthwhile mids. Suarez may be the only one to consider but thats at a push

+1 I'd say one defender is a good idea. Their fixtures turn for the better so it has some long term merit.
