The Dugout Discussion returns for an evening shift at the Emirates, as fourth-placed Arsenal take on sixth-placed Newcastle United in the penultimate fixture of Gameweek 28. If Newcastle have serious Champions League ambitions, then a good result tonight is a must. That sets us up for a potentially entertaining evening, with Arsenal currently enjoying a great spell of form. The team news from the capital is in, and the line-ups are as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Rosicky, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, van Persie.

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon, Obertan, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Gutierrez, Ba.

Arsene Wenger makes one change from the side that unsuccessfully attempted to over-haul Milan mid-week, with Mikel Arteta coming in for Gervinho. Intriguingly, that means another start for Alex Oxlade Chamberlain with Theo Walcott operating on the opposite flank.

Despite promising an attacking mentality tonight, Alan Pardew has reverted to a 4-5-1 formation, with Papiss Cisse making way for Gabriel Obertan. There’s also a forced change with Ryan Taylor missing out with the calf strain. In comes Hatem Ben Arfa.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom can be accessed right here.

but Jags could be a great pick from GW30, Eveeton are hitting form and have great fixtures. If only Ade was 8.8 or less.

With Ade I would have 5 on a defender. Who is the best option. I own Evams, Caulker, Schwarzer and Mingolet if that helps

        Maybe Ridgwell?

Can't believe how churlishly ungrateful people are being about RVP because he didn't get them all the points they wanted. He still scored a well-taken goal and got a good number of shots on target as well as off. With him being a one man FPL and Arsenal points machine who's saved most of your gameweeks tons of times, you'd think people would think twice before complaining about him but it seems memories are incredibly short.

BTW this is from someone with RVP (C) and an absolutely awful gameweek.

4vetti, manager of AC Milan, left the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza a relieved man tonight having seemingly gained the narrowest margins of victory against BATE Borisov. It is believed this result has saved 4vetti his job. Just before entering his Ferrari Enzo outside the stadium he stopped to talk to the press and said “I miei amici, ColeHole and I were both unlucky and lucky. The Late Villa goal robbed Milan of 9pts and ColeHole’s selection of keeper, Il Vorm, was inspired as I woefully left him on my bench. That said, BATE had Nani & Komps out... this game, eet is skill but you also need molto luck. My sympathies to ColeHole but we will take this beeg win and move on.”

4vetti was than asked about his status at the club:

“Si, I have spoken with the board and I still have their backing but we need to get to the knock out stage and drive on from there. So che la pressione, I live pressure, it makes me live, mi dà la vita. I have no worries, nessuna preoccupazione.”

When questioned about possible moves in the transfer market 4vetti was tightlipped but is believed to be looking at the Man U squad to strengthen his team.

It's time for Arsenal to get rid off RVP, first he misses that chance against Milan and now he can't even score more than one against Newcastle..also him fighting with Krul was laughable for the club and it is clear he has grown to big for his boots. Swap for Ibra is on the cards.

The PA stats could show something different to OPTA, so we're not using the same source. RVP or Walcott for 2 depending on whether they change to assist from Ramsey to Walcott.
Both OPTA and PA say Ramsey.

I'm finding it hard to drop Silva. He hasn't dipped in form, he just just had 1 game without any attacking returns. But i need Walcott. So who to ditch for Theodinho:

    1. Dempsey
    2. Young
    3. Silva

If this game didn't mean more than life itself to me I'd definitely buy a budget midfield of McClean, Moses, Ben Arfa, Miyaichi and Sigurdsson. Then you could easily get premium players everywhere else and be the coolest cat in town.
