The man’s a machine. Nine goals in eight games have lifted Papiss Cisse to the verge of essential status in Fantasy terms, as those who are yet to jump on board the bandwagon are left fumbling and fretting on the curb side, wondering if they’ve left it too late to buy a ticket.

Today’s brace at the Liberty cut open on of the most heralded defences in the league – Swansea had conceded just 12 goals at home this season. That had no bearing on Cisse, who went about his job of condemning Brendan Rodgers’ side to their third straight defeat with ruthless precision.

His first was a scalpel of a finish to Michel Vorm’s far post, the Dutchman’s despairing drive and fingertips unable to stop Cisse’s drive finding the corner. The second was simply sublime – an improbable angled chip over Vorm’s hapless gaze after Yohan Cabaye’s through-ball had appeared to have caught under Cisse’s feet. He shuffled, rearranged and demonstrated exquisite balance to execute one of the smartest finishes of the season. A bit special, as Alan Pardew will doubtless say.

Those who jumped on Cisse off the back of his consecutive two-goal hauls at West Brom and against Liverpool will be glowing. That leaves the rest of us pondering just how long we can afford to ignore the seemingly unstoppable form of the Senegal striker. Already, over 4,000 Fantasy managers have transferred Cisse in this afternoon – his price has jumped 0.6 in two Gameweeks but we can only expect that to keep climbing.

Gameweek 33 shifts struggling Bolton into Cisse’s sights – a chilling thought. There’s a sniff of a chance that Pardew will be tempted to rotate his resources for that game but surely Cisse’s momentum is undeniable, surely he’ll be given the opportunity to cut the Trotters open?

After that, Cisse and Newcastle face a blank but that’s followed by another temping home encounter with Stoke, with a double fixture in Gamweek 36 that has the Magpies face trips to Wigan and Chelsea.

The opponents hardly matter. Right now, you can throw out the form book and almost disregard fixtures. Alan Pardew has his side playing to their strengths. Resolute in defence with Hatem Ben Arfa providing a drive and spark from midfield, whilst up front Cisse is the executioner supreme. How can we resist?

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thats what Im worried about too. I look at West Ham, Southampton, Reading and their defenses dont fill me with confidence.

Swansea and Newcastle players should see big price increases. Hopefully they lower Fulham, Sunderland, Villa defenders to balance things out. Although Villa have been crap for anything FPL this year.

If Fulham can get back to some of the defensive form from previous seasons, maybe Hughes, Kelly will fly under the radar and have big seasons...

Yeah, i've avoided Fulham this season, the big guns Riise and Hangeland haven't been worth the price and Kelly, Hughes and Senderos offering to much rotation.

I've had Turner for the past few weeks, he's been a great buy, and Kieran Richardson may be worth a punt as he may be registered as a defender for next season.

Yeah Brummy will be worth it, Cutis Davies is worth a shout, as is Steven Carr.

Yeah, i'll just go Murphy, I just checked up on the clean sheets and Soton, Reading and West Ham are all in the top 5, should be interesting.

Also could we see Stoke defenders go down?

Without Europa distractions Stoke could do well defensively next season?

That's a good shout... Maybe if they do badly from now until the end of the season, their prices will reflect that next year...

have the same dilemma myself. think i am going to hang fire, hold onto Ba for 1 more week, hope he gets a goal or two and Cisee stays quiet.

get a 1 week replacement for GW 34 (Bendtner or Odem perhaps, maybe even Welbeck) and then punt them for GW 35 when Cisse will be brought in until the end of the season.

TM and anyone else around before the Swansea game earlier,

So I went and watched the match last night in Pig n' Whistle bar at 1.30am...

Utterly depressing to watch Cisse put 2 past Vorm... and Siggy & Co firing blanks from outside the box gifting Krul easy saves to compound the issue...

Horrible to see a what would have been a good game to watch and enjoy as a neutral soured by FPL commitments and allegiances ... πŸ™

Ah it was fairly buzzing when I got there... but after they stopped serving alcohol at 2.30, it became apparent that only 2 people were actually there to watch the football... as the masses left in their droves... (24hrs open, but between 3am-9am they only serve soft drinks, coffee etc)

It ended up being me and this football savy Estonian guy... it was thoroughly enjoyable to talk to someone who has a good football knowledge in person, as supposed to these AFL 'hand-egg' muppets. (sorry if that offends anyone)

Great goal, I've never been so furious at such a great goal... I was hoping for it to hit the bar as it looped in...

If you actually want to enjoy a game of football then it's most definitely a bad thing...

Unless you don't have any players in those games... those games are good...

On the rare occasion you will get those games where everyone comes out on top with the points you wanted for them... those are the beautiful days that make FPL worthwhile...

Could be anyone really but I imagine most FPL favourites will be safe. I worry Barfa will catch a rest but with other injuries at Newcastle I'm sure he will play. Ba is probably more likely to be rested than Cisse.

At United the 3 favorites should be safe you'd think but it depends on how the Citeh game goes and whether the title gets wrapped up this weekend.

VDV won't play both games imo and there might be rotation at CB for spurs as well as midfield.

Walcott, Verm and RVP should be safe for Arsenal

My plan was to bring in Cisse anyway, was just hoping the Swans would keep him fairly quite...

Now it just makes me more mad than I didn't pull the trigger on Suarez earlier...

Yeah that isn't cool. I should have done the Ba>Cisse swap instead of Ade but was put off by the sideways move. I shouldn't have let get in the way

Yeah, so have you resolved to only having 10 players in GW34?

I have but I'm convinced Cisse will score more points even with the blank...

I just can't sit by and watch him rape teams like this... even if he gets 2 points v Bolton, I'll feel better cos no one else is getting his double figure hauls...

          I'm a bad person... πŸ˜‰

I'm resolved to having 9 as I won't have a keeper. In fact I may end up having only 8 if I don't get a GW34 player in next gameweek. I will captain Rooney against Villa as a differential because everyone will captain RVP against Wigan.

Although my plans to get in Mignolet I think are now gone, might go with no keeper for 34 I guess.

Yeah I'm not bothering with a keeper in GW34 either. TBF it doesn't seem like such a daft idea to have 3 Newcastle players now.

Yeah, I'll go with 10, and on fixtures as well as having an extra DGW player or saving a future 4 point hit I should cope.
Those comments on Craig Gordon should make Mignolet owners worry as WOL and BOL are the two perfect fixtures for O'Neill to have a look.
It means I'll be keeping Reina, probably for the season, LOL.
