The man’s a machine. Nine goals in eight games have lifted Papiss Cisse to the verge of essential status in Fantasy terms, as those who are yet to jump on board the bandwagon are left fumbling and fretting on the curb side, wondering if they’ve left it too late to buy a ticket.

Today’s brace at the Liberty cut open on of the most heralded defences in the league – Swansea had conceded just 12 goals at home this season. That had no bearing on Cisse, who went about his job of condemning Brendan Rodgers’ side to their third straight defeat with ruthless precision.

His first was a scalpel of a finish to Michel Vorm’s far post, the Dutchman’s despairing drive and fingertips unable to stop Cisse’s drive finding the corner. The second was simply sublime – an improbable angled chip over Vorm’s hapless gaze after Yohan Cabaye’s through-ball had appeared to have caught under Cisse’s feet. He shuffled, rearranged and demonstrated exquisite balance to execute one of the smartest finishes of the season. A bit special, as Alan Pardew will doubtless say.

Those who jumped on Cisse off the back of his consecutive two-goal hauls at West Brom and against Liverpool will be glowing. That leaves the rest of us pondering just how long we can afford to ignore the seemingly unstoppable form of the Senegal striker. Already, over 4,000 Fantasy managers have transferred Cisse in this afternoon – his price has jumped 0.6 in two Gameweeks but we can only expect that to keep climbing.

Gameweek 33 shifts struggling Bolton into Cisse’s sights – a chilling thought. There’s a sniff of a chance that Pardew will be tempted to rotate his resources for that game but surely Cisse’s momentum is undeniable, surely he’ll be given the opportunity to cut the Trotters open?

After that, Cisse and Newcastle face a blank but that’s followed by another temping home encounter with Stoke, with a double fixture in Gamweek 36 that has the Magpies face trips to Wigan and Chelsea.

The opponents hardly matter. Right now, you can throw out the form book and almost disregard fixtures. Alan Pardew has his side playing to their strengths. Resolute in defence with Hatem Ben Arfa providing a drive and spark from midfield, whilst up front Cisse is the executioner supreme. How can we resist?

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Got lost on the previous page. Just need some words of comfort:

    Hullinho says:

My opponent (leads the ML by 25 points) forgot to change his team before deadline, wanted to play Vorm and Caulker. So he’s got Krul playing and Caulker benched.
    I do feel a little sick….

Sigurdsson has 7 shots today, and 3 of those on target. That was also twice as many more than the next highest on both teams. No-one can argue he was their most threatening player today. If he carries on like this, i'm sure he'll find the back of the net at home soon.

But it probably won't stop the constant posts about him not being good @ home after seeing another 2 besides the (H). It's clearly only a matter of time, he's too good to only do it away from home.

But ... I would like to draw your attention to the curious case of the Cheap Awayday Midfielder, or “CAMF”, as we shall call it.

This is the virulent disease that mid - to low-priced midfielders get, sometimes called Bashful Bonus Nabbing, or Not Tonight Josephinitis, the Josephines alluded to, being the frustrated Home Supporters. CAMF.

The symptoms of CAMF have been well documented. As soon as the player gets on the Away Coach, their shyness falls away like scales from a dead fish, they start to give their Centre Forward the leery eye, they nudge their scoring Centre Back in the ribs with a wink; and when they get on the field of play they come all over with the flashy - but now suddenly accurate backheels - and start spraying around deadly crossfield balls with all the panache of a modern Charlie George.

The incredibly painful effects are well-known, and do not need detailed documentation here. Suffice to say, the prognosis is poor scores, a bench with points “hanging out the back of it”, gnashing teeth, wailing fantasy players, clumps of hair interfering with the proper function of keyboards, casual transfers often done too early, and many, many other sorts of mayhem which shall remain thankfully private.

We believe that the toxic virus CAMF is both contagious and infectious. The first known carrier is a certain Moses, but both Sigurdsson and Ben Arfa are confirmed with it, and we are sure that it will spread further.

      THERE IS NO CURE, PRESENTLY.

If your team is dependent on one of these players, the only advice that we can offer is prayer.

I am not sure about that, Suarez is always the most threatening player, but that's it, he is a fantasy disaster. People have been talking since the start of the season that 'it's clearly only a matter of time', but now it's not so clear.
Papiss is not threatening, he is scoring, that's all what you need.

Sigurdsson isn't a fantasy disaster though, there is no logical reason to say why he can't do it @ home. He's got a great shot on him, unlike Suarez.

Shooting from miles out with none of your shots having any chance of beating a competent keeper isn't threatening.

Obviously he's done well in other games but today (only time I've watched him) Gutierrez marked him out the game and he was forced to take silly long shots.

So, I've been planning on getting Siggy this week, but I need to transfer a defender to get the necessary funds. I had planned to do Enrique -> Caulker but after today's match I'm not sure this is the best decision. Would Enrique -> Williamson be any wiser?

I'll definitely be playing this defender on GW36 (and possibly GW34), so it's down to:

        Caulker (BLA, WOL)

        vs.

        Williamson (wig, che)

Any suggestions? Anyone else I should consider within the same price range (4.2)? I already have Turner.

I hate it when things like this happen. When Papiss just arrived I thought, 'oh, well, I need to get him into my team, he's been an absolute machine in Germany, i'll just wait for the first sign that he has adapted'. Then I waited, waited, and waited, he started scoring but I had more important transfers to make and now I don't really want him because everyone else has him (or will have him by the next week) and I'm stubborn. I did not clarify that I meant it for gw34 where villa play and have a DGW 35. It then frees up cash to enable the purchase of Walcott, Baines, BAE or whoever if a transfer is saved.
Also two defenders more are required for gw 34 for that team.
                It needs an overhaul.

put williamson in ahead of caulker today for a slight bit of good fortune. i've been leaving him on bench an awful lot when he's had cleanies.

            HBA right now

            Cheaper, less rotation risk

If Mata is nailed on though, QPR at home looks too good to pass up

I am deciding between those 2 and VdV

well I have 10.5 to spend right now, Stevie G may come into the equation. Much also depends on my defence.

I will have Baines and probs Skrtel, but I fancy another, who may be Santon to save me a transfer or it may be Kaboul, to head off my rival's BAE

                  Bale Miyaichi

I have looked at my potential gw 33 line up.
I am considering Captaining Cisse v Bolton..surely he will get even more of the ball then he did against Swansea?
I am also considering playing the following three at the back Sagna, Turner, and Evans.
I have decided to bench my two Liverpool players because I can honestly see Blackburn beating Liverpool given current form and what Blackburn have to fight for.
I am hoping that Turner will face the Everton B side as it is prior to the FA cup game v Liverpool.

I watch the whole match today on telly. Yes he was that good. He was even tracking back defending most of the match as Swansea had the ball 80% to 20% half time.
Newcastle's goals came on the break from brilliant through balls.

so after a week of agonising over whether to bench Ba or Siggy, I made the right choice. Yay for the extra point.

That's it Ba...I never had you for your pre-ACON spree, got you back in when you returned and all you've given me is one goal, one ghost assist and a bap. And lost a load of value in the process.

Begone with you. Cisse in tonight, even if he does have a blank in 34. I'll deal with that when it happens.
