In tonight’s Members article, we pay another visit to the Team Statistics area. With plenty of data available to help with your Fantasy choices, we analyse each side’s performance in the previous Gameweek both from a defensive and attacking point of view.

Digging deeper, we then pick apart the previous four Gameweeks from a cumulative perspective, looking at any patterns or even anomalies that have recently emerged as we continue our planning for those crucial final five Gameweeks of the season:

Have decided to go for Sess and Aguero

Are any of you thinking the big double gameweek will be full of rotation?
Think i will not get too stessed about trying get everyone on doubles , by the time that round starts some of the teams will have very little to play for nd really will not want their players playing three games in eight days.

For example Liverpool , on paper a good double gameweek , but they have nothing to play for , and the fact that they rotated and won this week will just encourage them to do it again , especially if they win their fa cup game.
    Same applies to Everton.

Make sense to focus DGW on Spurs, Newcastle and Chelsea? Teams in hunt and throwing all hands on board?

I wouldnt want Baines if Everton make the final. Moyes resting him 5 days prior to the semi should be warning enough to everyone here.

Yeah, common deadzone phenomenon on FFS. Don't notice it so much on FPL (never). Don't know why it would be tied to price changes since they are totally independent sites. (Aren't they?)

Not much.. Any player who enter the red zone (-9x%) on FiSo have chance of price drop. As he was added to the game lately, it doesn't require much NTI for price change. That's reason.

Andrews was really brilliant on loan at Ipswich earlier this season, he couldn't stop scoring! I've been to keen to slip him in my team somehow, but again I'm biased coz of the Ipswich connection. Could be a good punt tho.

option A (no hit) get a total for 5 games

    ade for qpr BB bol
    baines for FUL stk

option B (no hit) total 4 games

    aguero for nor wol UTD
    vermalen for stk

option C (4 pt hit) total 5 games

    aguero for nor wol
    adebayor for BB bol
    vermalen for stk

option D (8 point hit) total 6 games
    aguero for nor wol
    adebayor for BB bol
    baines for FUL stk

option A and C involve same number of games but C includes 4 point hit.. benefit i see for that is that i get aguero for now and ade for the double. have a feeling aguero will tear it up next 2 weeks and will be a great differential.. dont see much in baines vs vermalen in 36.

Hope he gets the start this week, else I'm likely to end up with only 10 players. Gamble that hasn't paid off, even before the week starts.

Haven't heard anything official, but some Sunderland fans earlier tonight said that MON mentioned rotation the day of the match he sat out and that since he rarely plays close back-back games he should probably be good to go for this weekend.

          That's positive news then.

From what I watched of the game, they really missed Bendy up-front.
Sess wasn't able to fulfill that role of holding the ball and it would have been unfair on him (come on, he's only 5'6"). The other option is MON playing Ji/Wickham/Frazier, but looks like they're out of favor.

Everton players are clearly under-rated for the DGW. I would try to get 3 Everton players, instead of 3 Tot players.

    1) This article definitely shows they are the best offense and still one of the solid defenses around.
    2) They're in-form and are known to finish the season on a high.
    3) Some of their players are just as much as in a rotation mess as the other doublers.
    4) More importantly, they have the fixtures in 36-38 to finish strongly.

Their only drawback is probably the fact that they don't have much to play for. But that seems to bring out the best in them every year, since they tend to play without any pressure.

Jags, if Baines really is a rotation risk.

Pienaar over Osman IMO. Seems quality, if he can continue his attacking threat. On my watchlist that one.

Only suggesting a third option. It intrigues me why you would want only 2 players from a team, which has fared so well and more from a team which is out-of-form and not able to win relatively easy games at home.

I'm going for just the two from Tottenham too ;).

I suppose a couple of the reasons are that I don't want to take hits for an extra Everton player and they have more away games towards the end of the season than home games. They don't really do well defensively away from home.

              Just my thoughts 🙂

Taking the example of Everton, they have games on:

    14th April: FA Cup Semi
    22nd April: Man United (A)
    28th April: Fulham (H)
    1st May: Stoke (A)
    5th May: FA Cup Final
    6th May: Wolves (A)

Surely they will reschedule the Wolves game if they get through to the final right?

ENR, would you get Baines even if Everton do win their Cup match? Surely he can play the 2 games of the DGW.

2 games in 9 days (from the end of the Man United game) and then he's got a 4 day rest for the Final

Should think so. But now my concern is if he's worth the extra 2.5 mil over Jags? In the latest Moyes style of play, he seems to be putting in much fewer crosses and taking lesser corners as well. So pretty much you're relying on his goal threat (FK/penos) to justify that extra bit. Guess for the rich managers, Baines is a no-brainer, but I'm thinking about it.

Jags is a very solid defender and seems to always be in with a good shout for Baps if Everton get a CS. Gets forward for set-pieces and is good on the ball going forward.

Looking at the double, FUL/sto, I don't see much attacking returns for Everton. So maybe Jags is a great option if you're looking to scrap cash.

Fact: Baines has 2 assists, just as Jagielka. He has 4 goals over Jagielka's 2.

You might be swaying my line of thinking here.

Truth is, Baines just hasn't delivered enough attackwise, 4 goals and 2 assists all season is a bit unsatisfactory.

And just to correct you, Jags just has 6BPs all season, and that too just when he's scored those 2 goals. Most of the CS bonus goes to Baines.

Yeah that CS bonus are probably due to his crosses/corners. Factor in how Jags has been away for quite a few weeks, I don't know if Baines is worth it. He has 2 weeks to prove it. 🙂

Yeah same here. Deeper but more importantly, didn't play that well last game. Wigan definitely playing better than Villa at the moment so that's a point in favour of Rooney. But RVP does play last this GW and Arsenal are just killing it at the moment so tempting to keep it on him.

B yields the best possible returns as spurs have the best 2 fixtures in the DGW. Both Cisse and Ben Arfa are on fire atm and despite both there DGW fixtures being away from home they have both recently shown they can still score big. I was annoyed with baines being rested last GW and looks like if they get past Liverpool in the FA cup he might be again rested. Aguero is terrible away from home so for me B is the best option. I can see A or C returning more than the 4 pt hit costs you. If your in a H2H or the paddy power cup i'd recommed just B and if your gonan take some risk B and C or A and B. I dont recommened an 8pt hit.

    Is this plan:

    a) cunning as a fox that used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has since moved on and is now working for the U.N. at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning, or

    b) plain stupid

    CURRENT SQUAD

    Dempsey, Walcott, Valencia, Sessegnon, Siggy
    RVP, Rooney, P Cisse

GW35: Kompany -> BAE, or Rooney -> Adebayor (will decide on which is best after the GW34 games)

Sorry folks, a bit of a long plea for help here. I currently have 9 players for GW34; 2FT and 1.2m in bank:

    Mignolet
    Evans, Caulker, Turner
    Valencia, Walcott, Sigurdsson
    RVP, Rooney

Krul | Jelavic, Walker, Bale, Simpson, Miyaichi

Wouldn't want to waste a transfer so will use one to make it 10 players (hope Mignolet plays). Which option's best?

    A) Walker --> Sagna/Verm/Kompany/Lescott (opponent this week has both Kompany & Verm) - which one?
    B) Bale --> Sessegnon/Silva
    C) Miyaichi --> McClean

or I could use both my transfers to have a full team and worry about GW35 when it gets here. Slightly tempted since I have a must-win matchup GW34. Would this be wise then?

    D) Walker & Bale --> Kompany/Sagna/Verm/Lescott & Sessegnon/Silva

Anything else I'm missing? Ok to over-look Yakubu, QPR, WBA players? Cheers for any help.

Not sure Ryo will play both games, with Petrov/eagles playing well.

Are you convinced about City can shine on the road? I ain't so sure. But it could pay off with Wolves next week. Fancy a punt on Nasri? Looks much sharper than Silly and linking up beautifully with Tevez & Kun. Certainly been kinda consistent as well. Yeah not so sure either. Think City will have definitely received a boost both with their win and Utd's loss, despite Mancini's comments so will be interesting to see how they perform away.

Silva/Nasri would definitely be a differential between the opponent and myself. You think Nasri is nailed on to start now?

And what do you think about the defender situation? Switch Walker out or should I move Jelavic for someone?

Hmm, only issue I have with getting Barfa is it means I'll be benching one of Siggy, Sess or RVP, which seems madness with their form/fixtures.

That's the issue with gw 36. Sun/Swans have good fixtures, so it leaves 9 players less Rvp. So 8 possible DGW. Unless you have balls and bench the form players.

I will not be benching RVP, Sess, of Siggy. It just doesn't make sense. 8 tops. 7 if you want Caulker or Turner, who both seem like good shouts that week, too.

            I'll roll with 7.

Same here. 7 max. Depending on results/any rotation news or inj I might take a punt on Baines/A Cole.

Cue some SGW players outscoring the DGW. Wigan(Moses)look good value gw 36-38.

That would probably surprise me, but certainly possible.

I dont see any way I'm not getting Baines, Bale, and one of Ade/Jelavic/Pienarr for the double.

Baines, really? Even if they go thru to fa cup final? Not worried Moyes would wrap him up on cotton wool?

BTW, I noticed you took a -4 hit this week? What you do? Possible top 1k still on the cards.

                -8 actually.

Got tired of just sitting outside the top 1k without getting in. I'm desperate, so I took a big hit to field 11 this week.

BTW, did you read Dudu's post next page about gw 37 rearranged for the fa cup finalists?

No I didn't see that. Wanna link me?

I did the normal, boring, Skrtel, Bale, Ryo > Turner, Sess Walcott

                    Just turn the page...

Boils down to fa cup final being on 5 may and Chel/liv/spurs/eve playing prem games on 5 & 6th may. So the Q is will the Fa cup finalists games for gw 37 need to be re arranged....

Will it be another DGW then or just mid week fixtures?

Sun/Swa have poor fixtures in GW37 and GW38 though. I'm inclined to have at most Sess or Siggy.

I thought the same about Spurs but check the table in the article. Only Swansea have scored less than Blackburn's 3 goals in last 4 and Spurs defending relatively well?

Agree with HBA and I'm considering Pienaar too.

GW 35 is going to be a long gameweek if you don't have any Bolton or Villa players...

    Gibs Naylor BAE Skrtel Shotton

This is my team for GW 34:
    Mignolet
    Caulker-Kompany-Evans-Sagna
    Yaya-Sigurdsson-Sess-Valencia
    Rooney-RVP (C)
Subs: Schwarzer-Dempsey, Simpson, Cisse and 2.2 in the bank

I’m 80 points clear of my rivals in my main mini-league, so would you do any changes to this team, or keep the transfer for GW 35? I was thinking of Yaya to Walcott, have the funds necessarry. I don’t like Theo but he gets the points seemingly out of nowhere and looks like a must these days. What do you guys think? Thanks!
